  1. Outstanding.
  2. The rocky outcrop really stands out. Nice work on the laser blasts too.
  3. Looks good. I love restricting myself to parts from a specific set and seeing what I cam come up with, and i think you did well with this one!
  4. I envisaged this more of an "in atmosphere" set. (and didn't have a helmet that would show off his thuggish charms) Thanks for the compliment about the back. I just started putting piece on there and realised I'd ended up with something cool.
  5. thanks, it's actually part of a larger build but I'm not happy with the rest of it yet. Working on it for later weeks.
  6. thanks, Umbra-Manis. When I realised I could make the hat I was decided on my design.
  7. Built after getting and dismantling all the Mixels police. Used some extra pick a brick wall pieces and a couple of minifigs from parts I had handy. Tried to get the feel of an official set. We all know how LEGO love their cops and robbers in the City line, so why not in Space too?
  8. liking the "reactor" inside its chest.
  9. I forgot to add the title when I was posting. Call it the "Macho Mech"
  10. I really like this. Not a scale I'm used to building in (outside of Star Wars advent calendars) so it's great to see what can be done at this size. A lot, from the looks of it!
  11. thanks for the welcome. I've got a ways to go before I have all the parts and skills as some of the builders here but hopefully playing will help me improve.
  12. Agent Lotus arrived at the Space Olympic Games, just as the gates were opening for the Mech Wrestling event, The next competitor on the screen was entered by the Kawashita group. "Might as well take a look and see what my team have come up with, and lend some support." As he walked down the hallway to the area floor, he saw the mech on a monitor, zoomed in on its head unit. The machine let out a deep, guttural yell. "Oooooooooh Yeeeeeeaaaahh!" By the time Agent Lotus got into the arena proper and found a seat, it was spinning around, one hand pointed into the air. The powerful looking mech was flamboyantly decorated, and its movements matched its aesthetic. "I'm gonna turn my opponent into bricks and pieces. Bricks and pieces, brother." The mech growled. As it flexed its metal muscles and talked, its eyes lit up a glowing red. as if possessed by madness. "I have the power of the clutch, oh yeah. And no mech can stop me." The slow deliberate bass tone of its voice paused after every sentence, as if allowing the gravity of the situation to enter into its opponent's mind. Finally it still, arms outstretched and its massive hands ready to rip and tear any opposition apart. "Are you ready? Macho Mech is READY!" "Oh yeah, dig it!" It screamed the last line and stood poised to take on anything.
  13. Location A06: Guinevere. Tags: Spaceship In a quiet spot on Guinevere, Kawashita Agent Lotus decides to check his mail. "A ticket to the Space Olympics? I didn't buy this." The agent checks the sender's address. It's blank, but the signature, an obvious alias, is an anagram of the bar where he first met a long-time informant. "Guess I'm going to the Space Olympics!" Agent Lotus jumped into his personalised Webdiver spaceship, slipping his customised space helmet on in the process, and started up the engines. The triple ion engines hummed to life as they lit up, and the manoeuvring thrusters burned a bright orange behind him. The Games started soon, so he'd have to make a quick exit from the planet. He pressed the button for an immediate launch out of the atmosphere. The ship spun and smoothly rotated itself upwards, so that Agent Lotus was facing the stars. Grinning with the anticipation of the possibilities that lay before him, he hit the engine boosters and was gone...
  14. lovely buildings and the posing on the figures, along with the angles of the photography, makes for a very dynamic looking build. better than the movie!
  15. Third choice... You misunderstood. Octan was never a choice. ;)
  16. that's impressive! even "just" the city itself. was thinking of making a little Fortress build (want to put the Byrne era Battle Suit mech in there somewhere) but hadn't thought about Kandor. Great idea and executed really well. The landscape itself is very interesting and the Phantom Zone generator is a very well done adaptation from the cartoon. I knew it before reading the text.
  17. really like this. great use of the big piece, and love the little removable bits from the back. very authentic looking for its crew.
  18. I joined Kawa mainly because of low numbers. Everyone benefits from healthy competition
  19. Great fun little designs with a nice cohesive feel to them.
  20. Hi folks. Signed up as Agent Lotus. Looking forward to the special challenge, been working on my wrestling mech.
  21. sorry, honestly with my Blacktron love, I'd have gone MANTIS before I went Octan anyway. :P but you guys have been very welcoming. That's great to see in something like this.
  22. it is a nice fun set for the price. I would have liked more articulation on the mech too, but spinning things are never bad.
  23. looks nice, but too many minifigs for an official set ;) I like the little rocket car thing, and the lava flow down the right hand side.
  24. Agent Lotus signing up for Kawashita Special Forces.
