Eh, it looks very plain. Too much exposed baseplate imo.

Making good use of 1x3x3 windows: historic liveries?
Merlict replied to Tube Map Central's topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is fantastic. I've been tempted to the dark side of fakes by the prices of round corner windows but these are 90% as good -
This is such a nice thought, good for you letting them play with it in their own way even if it makes a bit of a mess.

I think of Vita Rush as basically orange flavored Red Bull with the whole 'Xtreme Sports' branding

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Merlict replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
If they're trying to do something special to celebrate I'd rather have something really deluxe on a single baseplate. As people's mods show most buildings look way better with an extra floor, so give us something a bit taller + deeper with a gorgeous interior -
The MOC itself is great.. but it's your photos / renders that take it to the next level. Seriously, these are better than the official 'Adult' photos they've been using for Expert sets. What are the printed windows for the phone box please? (And yes the cash register is a bit large, looks like a baby pipe organ haha)

Lol, after looking at this photoshop the normal set starts to look like a 'skinny' mod! I feel like this set has some really clever ideas that add up to a slightly awkward car. I do want one if the GWP threshold is sane though

I simply put some layers of folded card under the modular baseplates to raise them a little. Works fine and cost $0!

Very good! Have you tried using https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=62576&in=S as the windshield? I think it would be much nicer if you could see in with a detailed cockpit

Preventing LEGO sets from getting dusty
Merlict replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know why people are laughing, I have hermetically sealed my Lego room with industrial tape and Flex Seal. I can enjoy it through a web cam knowing it will stay perfect forever. -
Lol, somehow this fits the mood of Classic Town really well. Passengers on the train are in for a surprise though!
-
I feel like a good % of them would? If Lego bring out models like this for Speed Champs sets that I own and like heck yeah I'm going to get one

That Haines style manual cover is rad A new realistic windscreen is one of my most wished for parts, this one is a bit 'formal' and upright for many cars but I'll take it.

Modular Pub – alternate build for 10264 Corner Garage
Merlict replied to Versteinert's topic in LEGO Town
Yeah I buy a lot from Bricklink and buying one modular ends up WAY cheaper than the same number of random parts + postage -
That roof is fiendishly clever! Was going to ask about it then perfect cutaway, nice I actually don't like the fence parts much. Could have a cool modern look with an arch piece on the top as well, or flip the whole window assembly sideways.. Anyway very very good build.

Very nice. Just move the front wheels forward and bit and this is golden.
-
Yeah I suggest moving the VW emblem to the front, and including the distinctive front vents Either way I love it, I want one in pink
-
That's awesome mate. I do feel the driving wheels are a tad small.

Gotta admit I would have guessed way lower than 7000 pieces! Looks great my man.

Neat. I've spent quite a lot on plates to make moduars a bit narrower .3 modulars is about 2 studs too wide for a double Ikea Billy
-
Looks great, only suggestion is the tail fin is too bulky / needs a bigger rotor Those early years of City had some amazing sets

Trucks are awesome! Hot rod not so much, the skinny front makes it look like a souped up lawn mower haha

Sadly the windscreen is only out in black, white and plain blue. Most of the other parts are common or can be worked around but replacing the windows and keeping it neat is beyond my skills
