    So I agree that the card and bag are different than examples I am immediately finding, but I’m pretty sure they gave these away two different ways (time square TRU and NY toy fair) so it’s possible they switched up the bags.

    That had been my original thinking too but it doesn’t have a logo appropriate for any tourney I could find. I’m thoroughly confused on this one.

    I don’t understand how everyone jumps to “they stole it from the lego ideas contributor”. It’s an IP they already have, I’m sure they’ve sketched out every major piece they could do in lego. If it was an IP they didn’t already have rights to it would actually be suspicious.

    The original comment you responded to was about lego in general, not D2C sets; perhaps you should edit you post to clarify. Anyway, US has probably the best discounts anywhere including on D2C. It was a hell of a lot easier to get discounted D2C when TRU was still around but there are still plenty of opportunities if you’re patient. I won’t even get into the US clearance scene. at any rate, whether it’s a discount purchase down the road or a really good lego store promo plus 2x points, I certainly won’t be buying this at MSRP. But I don’t do that anyway.

    Ok after reading up on Supreme a bit more, I don’t think there is a connection between this lego ball and the company. Still, weird print.

    I’m hoping there’s going to be another series for rugby. With the ball being branded it doesn’t make sense to be in a regular series.

    If they continue the trend of including figs for the display, who would make sense to include in an ISD? Wasn’t expecting it to be this pricey but I’m eager to see an updated version. Build techniques have improved so much, as has the parts selection, so it should be a great piece.

    Well my wife will definitely enjoy this calendar more than the SW ones of late, that’s for sure. Looks like a great set of builds/figs!

    Considering we got a UCS from an old movie, as well as the HOA and tower promo, I’m starting to warm to the possibility of them going a 20 years type of series to touch on movies they either didn’t have the license for or didn’t create proper builds for. Only problem is there are probably several waves worth of sets if they do this but based on the hall I’m not sure this is an issue. i think there’s more demand for MCU sets than enteric Marvel stuff but I guess the character lineup is way more limited.

    Pretty sure the force Friday UCS is going to be a rebel blockade runner. They said we were getting a UCS one this year.

    Fair point, hadn’t considered that. One of the more recent parts I broke was a 4x6 tile w studs on side on the MTT, a part that happens to be stickered in the sand crawler. Good news is if you’re buying new you can wait to put the stickers on until the parts are together if you desire.

    Reddish brown also has the same problem. i don’t understand op’s concern though. You run the risk of any set having damaged parts out of the box, however unlikely. The damage for dark red and reddish brown seems to always be related to the stresses of putting parts together or taking them apart. At least both sets are still of current colors that you can order replacement parts fairly easily if the problem does manifest.

    As of right now there are no further rumors. Unless a surprise second wave for endgame appears, or they do a wave of nostalgia sets, it seems this indeed the endgame for lego.

    Maybe the WDWRR, but there are three different style locos and I think two different color passeneger cars (green, red to match corresponding loco). Not that I think most people would know or care about the different options though.

    2018 was the 115th anniversary so I’m not sure it’s anything specific. I wonder if they’re planning a customizable bike similar to the mustang.
