FLW’s license aside, I wonder if this is further signaling that small structure / house sets like FW, Robbie and Farnsworth won’t be made again. Kind of bummed and I don’t think I’ve come across many architecture MOCs. Skyscrapers and landmarks seem to be the focus (and skylines).

Just bought a used lot that included an 8043. Had the V2s in it. My brother also has V2s in his, built from BNIB. They definitely switched at some point.

Has anyone managed to get the PCB in the IR remote separated from the case? I have one with pretty bad battery acid damage and I’ve cleaned it up but the right “up” contact is not working and I’d like to see if cleaning the underside of the board would help.

Is the polybag itself legit? Pogo made a knockoff that has quality issues like what you describe, but I can’t find evidence if they came in a bag.

Further, I don’t really see a character that fits as absolutely necessary for both books/movies 5 and 6, other than say the big three and we’re already getting them.

So you bought an iconic set after the theme has been revived and you post this looking for... sympathy? if you’re a completionist you have the figs and could sell the build now before the D2C is made public and recoup money. It’s a great set and looks fantastic, personally.

The quote is stating the 7 actions are unique, as @Kit Figsto pointed out before me. The important part was the beginning where it states “this set is needed to unlock expansion sets. The statement later says, “The first Expansion Sets, also revealed today, include the Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set and the Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set.”

It does not stand to reason that Mario is included in the castle. The starter set is 70$ with 231 pieces, they aren’t giving an additional 700 some pieces for 30$ more.

Did you read the accompanying announcement? This entry point set to the world of LEGO Super Mario is needed to unlock expansion sets and features seven action bricks for different interactions with the LEGO Mario figure that are only included in this set. what else could the expansions require beyond Mario himself?

Does anyone know how to separate the damped shock absorbers, particularly the ones with springs or if it’s possible to replace the seals? I have a pair of 10L from 8448 where the springs / shaft have collapsed into the cylinder and would like to try to repair them, if possible.

While I do agree with the poster who said the Malfoys as it was my first thought as well, I’ll go with father Diggory for a different angle. There is nothing special about the relationships between Weasleys or Potters for that quote to make sense.

They’ll be a nice line to display but there aren’t a lot more helmets I can think of wanting to see, aside from clone iterations.
