Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Or the version with the hat! We‘re almost guaranteed to get another Flitwick in January, but I doubt it‘ll be much different from the one in the AC -
Fair enough. I did like the first act too (apart from „it‘s clobbering time“ being used as a bully‘s catchphrase ), but it quickly fell apart after that GL was fun-bad to me and Fant4stic boring-bad, which is way worse. As for the alleged Arkham set, I wouldn‘t count on any new villains. We haven‘t seen any members of the regular rogues‘ gallery in such a long time, all of them would count as new again by now Unless it‘s based on BTAS, in which case they could recycle some of this year‘s minifigs!

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Yeah, I agree! It‘s kinda weird to put the heroes at that much of an advantage, play-wise That said, you could also argue that the villains are kinda owerpowered if they don‘t even need a mech to battle the respective heroes At least we‘re getting two minifigs in each mech now, that‘s a good development! -

Agreed! I love Gambon‘s version and it‘s really baffling he was only included in one set and as a CMF, despite appearing in 3 times as many movies as Harris‘ depiction Sure, he doesn‘t have that many costume variations, but I‘d take a redesign of the CMF one too! Or better yet, the HBP version with the cursed hand! -

Oh, right!! So it‘s the only chrome part still in production -
I have to admit, I was laughing my megablocks off when I first heard that GL‘s weakness used to literally be the colour yellow My first real contact with GL was the 2011 movie, so I thought it was always like that in the comics as well, with his weakness being fear, symbolised by the colour yellow. Not the bloody colour itself! Also, the 2011 movie is kinda overhated. Sure, it‘s not exactly high art, but it‘s a lot more fun than say, Fant4stic

Exactly. The individual smaller sets work on their own, also because they each include a well-known shop. A D2C extension wouldn‘t work on the same level unless you already have one or both of the other D2C sets. The missing shops simply aren‘t iconic enough to warrant another ~$400 set Besides, we now have a fourth version with the upcoming microscale one! Kinda crazy we have three different systems available all at once (though the latter isn‘t really a system per se because it‘s already complete) -

There are multiple issues in fact: Chrome was applied as a layer on top of regular pieces, which could affect the clutch power Chrome pieces were expensive to produce They scratch easily Every fingerprint is visible The chrome paint is poisonous/carcinogenic and its production bad for the environment Chrome pieces have been discontinued years ago, likely as a combination of the factors above. Also not gonna happen for the reasons stated above -

Kinda surreal to see TROS Palpy as a book minifig, as I‘ve been suggesting that for years -

Love the new Ultron minifig! Good to see the neck attachment piece is still around, after lasting appearing in the first ever Mando set I like it too! It‘s not on the same level as the recent AoU set, but still a good effort -

Correct me if I’m wrong, but we currently only know about that one F4 set, no? The leakers seem to be convinced it‘s comic-based, but the release date is kinda suspicious as late April is usually when sets for movies scheduled for July get launched. If it‘s comic-based, the only way we‘ll get a proper movie tie-in set is after the movie‘s release (e.g., in August), which would be rather peculiar as well I‘m happy to finally see the F4 get the LEGO treatment, whether they‘re based on the comics or the MCU, but can‘t we have both? Pretty please? -

The Perpetuus is super unlikely. When was the last time we had a large ship that only serves as a transport and isn‘t involved in a single action scene? The only broad appeal would be the potential minifigs. -

If this means we‘re getting a Balrog figure, 2025 could shape up to beat 2024 even, and that is a tall order!! I hope it‘s a diorama. I feel it‘s wayyyy too early to know about a GWP set and there‘s no connection to the Shire anyway. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
BrickBob Studpants replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
It‘s certainly possible they‘re remaking the house after more than 10 years, rather than a location like Krusty‘s. I think the main reason everyone assumed it was the latter was the codename („Clown“), but we know how little most codenames have to do with the actual sets Not too happy if it turns out to be a remake of the Simpsons‘ house, but maybe it comes with a few new characters at least? -
*old man voice* Back in my day… Yeah, I‘ve been here since the forum exists and thus have seen many members come and go Not many of the OGs are still around! I also joined before I was 18, but only by 3 months or so. Before that, I was a lurker There were these two mods I liked because of their funny posts, but they both left on the same day and founded their own forum, which has died a while back. And lemme tell you, in all these years, there has been nobody quite like t̷̡̢̧̨̡̞̞̣͈̖̥̦̜̠̹̥̬͇͖̻̐̍̌͜͜͠ͅu̵͔̤͉̲͉͕̓̅̏̔͑̆̓͒̀̒̀̓̆͆͘͝r̵̨̢̧̪̲̮̳͇͔̗̜̙̱̖̖͔̺̬̱̹͕̮̙̪̊͛̿͋́̂̍̓͒͌̌̔͆͛̈́̂͋̍́͌̚̕͘͝t̷̨̧̪̿͗̇́̃͐͝l̴̨̢̩̗̖͚̝̐͠ͅͅę̷̛̟̤̯̹̙̪̌͊̓̌̽̈́̆͒̂̕.

Except for Mando Sure, they don‘t seem to go back to older seasons all that much, but we did get a UCS set based on S1 and there are two Mando sets in the January wave The movie won‘t get released for another 1.5 years, so of course the hype isn‘t there yet. I also don‘t see any hype yet for other 2026 releases -

You‘re being too pessimistic Both X-Men sets this year came with new characters! They’re well aware of what fans want
