Exactly. Nobody ever refers to the Raimi trilogy, ASM, and/or Spider-Man-less Spidey universe as the „Spider-Verse“. Also, a 12-figure series based on three distinct universes wouldn‘t make much sense, even after they technically are connected now thanks to NWH. Sure, you could have 4 characters from each universe (Spidey, MJ, Gobbie, JJJ; Spidey, Gwen, other Gobbie, Captain Stacy; Venom, Carnage, Morbius, Madame W… sorry, can‘t say it with a straight face ), but that‘s not all that appealing to me as a CMF series. I‘d rather have the Spider-Verse CMF and then actual sets based on the Raimi movies And mayyyyybe the ASM movies. As for the other universe, no thanks -

I‘m talking about the two sets scheduled for January, not the movie tie-in wave which will likely launch around May Exactly! Both versions had the exact same issue. Since the new one will be quite a bit smaller presumably, this should no longer be a concern! -

We don‘t have the 2HY set lists yet, so I‘m not sure where this sentiment is coming from. Also, the official tie-in merch announcement would be a bold-faced lie then -

As with every series, full judgement should be saved for when we actually see pictures I‘m just surprised by the rather negative reception here. I don‘t remember anyone complaining this much about either of the TLBM series. Maybe I‘m misremembering things and people were reacting equally negatively back then, or something changed in the last couple of years -

That‘s one of the reasons people liked it so much; it‘s different from most other Marvel projects, yet still fits in well. They introduced some major new characters, had a really good well-thought out mystery going, didn‘t fall into the trap of turning Agatha into a hero (or even an anti-hero), and DAMN that 7th episode was excellent! The tarot scene alone made sure the series would end up in my top three Marvel shows At first, I was rolling my eyes at the idea of an Agatha show as well, but it really is worth watching! And focussing only on the „popular“ characters is not the best strategy. They have to try out new things, or else it gets stale. And you need to give other characters the chance to become popular in the first place! Iron Man was a B or C-lister before the first movie and the GotG were more like D-listers even. The MCU wouldn‘t exist if they only focussed on the then popular characters! -

Totally agree! Loki and Agatha were by far the best Marvel shows to me and I had a blast with The Marvels I really didn‘t expect Agatha to be this good and wish we could get minifigs for some of the other characters, but I doubt a third CMF series would‘ve provided that anyway. Word. If TLBM can get two 20-figure CMF series, one 12-figure series dedicated to the two Spiderverse movies isn‘t a stretch at all Can‘t wait for the list! -

The LEGO Batman Movie had two CMF series dedicated to it, so a total of 40 minifigs Sure, you can say it’s not fair to compare a LEGO movie to other films, but it‘s still a single piece of media. -

Now I wonder if there‘ll be more Horizon sets later in the year! There are no rumours yet, right? Also funny to have two gaming themes now that have sets specifically based on the LEGO version of the game! -

I suggest to at least take a look at the character designs first Spider-Woman and Spider-Man India both have hair, Spider-Punk has spikes, 2099 has those arm-blades, Noir has a fedora and trenchcoat, and so on. They have very different colour schemes and are visually distinct. -

Spider-punk and Spider-man India would like to have a word with you Both movies are very popular, well-received critically, and visually striking. Making a case for sets and a CMF series is super easy, barely an inconvenience! …and did you seriously suggest that minifigs based on Madame friggin Webb would be more appealing?? Now that‘s a hot take if I ever saw one! -

Meh. You just know that at least a third of the characters would be venomised if that was the case, so I‘m glad we can avoid that I take versions based on a specific movie or show over generic stuff any day, so this is right up my alley -

According to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, the $10 Nether set includes Alex with an angry expression, a Strider, a Wither Skeleton, and a Blaze, plus a piece of ancient debris! Awesome value for such a small set! And it sounds like they finally updated Steve‘s skintone. -

Between the awesome January waves, more LOTR sets, Simpsons returning, HTTYD, a new Arkham, FF4 sets, a Night Trooper BP, a TROS Palpy minifig, and now this CMF series, 2025 could actually beat 2024 for me, which I didn‘t expect to happen! If 2025 brings us at least two of the following, I will make it official as well Babu Frik an Infinity Saga set based on Doctor Strange or the first two Thor movies (so we can finally have Kaecilius, Odin, and/or Heimdall!) more Zelda my Ideas project passing the review (unlikely, I know, but let a man dream) Even if not, 2025 is gonna be a great year for LEGO! -

I don‘t see how a comic-based Spiderverse series would be preferable. Such a series would absolutely also feature Miles, Spider-Gwen, at least one or two Peters, and multiple other Spideys. That‘s the entire point of the Spiderverse! If what you want is a whole bunch of new Spidey villains, A) a comic-based CMF would likely not be the way to achieve that either (unless it‘s s generic Spidey series rather than the Spiderverse), and B) both movies have characters we never got in LEGO form before. The first movie alone has Kingpin, Prowler, and Tombstone. Please don‘t judge the idea if you haven‘t watched the movies yet, they‘re some of the best Spider-man projects ever made Go and watch them, you won‘t regret it ^^ -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
If the rumour is true, I hope the series is based specifically on the two movies! Prowler, Peter B. Parker with the pink bathrobe, Renaissance Vulture, Kingpin (not quite sure how tho), Doc Ock, so many cool options!! Not sure what took em so long, but I welcome it! Only if they focussed on the Raimi movies The SMCU or whatever the Spider-man-less universe is called doesn‘t deserve sets in my opinion. Those movies are watchable, but that‘s about it. -

Compared to other themes, I think SW has always been rather stingy with the number of minifigs, BPs notwithstanding -

Counterpoint: Like with Stitch, convention booths are still filled with Toothless plushies and no human companion to be seen anywhere I would‘ve preferred playsets as well, but I‘ll take a buildable figure over nothing! -

That‘s a bit of an exaggeration Yes, the number of yearly buildable figures and objects has increased quite a bit, but unless I’m overseeing something, this is the only new license so far to get nothing but a buildable figure. Zelda, Animal Crossing, Fortnite, Dune and so on all had at least one regular set and a lot of amazing minifigs. Maybe they‘re just testing the waters with this?
