Sure, even proper leaks from reliable sources have involved misunderstandings before, but there‘s nothing to suggest that‘s the case here Besides, most people associate „Spider-verse“ with the movies. If the CMF series was comic-based, they would‘ve simply used „Spider-man“ to avoid any confusion. None of the comic-based sets, even the ones that feature the same multiversal characters as the movies did, ever used that term before.

To be honest, I don‘t expect any new minifigs I could totally see them pairing up Rouge and Knuckles again in one set, and using the core cast in the other (i.e., Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Shadow).

That‘s definitely an upside for me, I‘m sick of the same OT sets getting recycled, so this is a nice change of pace in that regard That said, maybe I jinxed it and one or both of the remaining sets are still OT remakes. So yeah, my disappointment in the August wave stems purely from the lack of variety. I‘ll take new Clone stuff over OT remakes any day, but it would‘ve been nice to see a TFA set or two plus something from the Mandoverse (like another Skeleton Crew set with SM-33 and some pirates).

Not only that, the initial rumour called it a „Sony‘s Spider-verse“ series. There‘s no wiggle room for anything other than ITSV/ATSV! If the rumours about multiple sets are true, there‘s no way he won‘t be in one of them Fingers crossed there‘s one set for each of the movies! I know SM3 isn‘t exactly beloved (Bully Maguire aside), but a set based on the final battle with Harry, Venom, and Sandman would be fantastic! Granted, there‘s already a set with the same Sandman on shelves, but when has that ever stopped them

I think it does, simply because it‘s the largest expansion yet and will surely include 10 or even more minifigs. What else are they gonna do, include 7 Gryffindor students? Sure, they could, it would even save them some money since they could repurpose a lot of pieces from existing Gryffindor students (Fred, George, Percy, Neville, Ginny, Seamus, Dean, Lee), but that‘d be pretty lame It‘s definitely gonna be the flagship expansion with the least interesting minifig selection out of all of them. If they focus on PS/CoS again, the only new character I could see them include would be the Bloody Baron, and in terms of variants, maybe a new Lockhart costume. I have high hopes for the build, but I keep my expectations VERY low for the minifigs.

Sure, but I was still hoping for a regular set this year Welp, at least there‘s the Night Trooper BP to represent that era! Since we should keep expectations low for the remaining two sets, I‘m expecting either buildable figures or unnecessary remakes. Or both

Maybe we all underestimated how well Clone sets are selling because this is utter madness When was the last time a subtheme was this dominant? I'm pretty disappointed so far, not gonna lie. Not even a single Mando playset? The 2HY sets were supposed to save this year, as they've done the last coupla years! That said, one of my most-wanted minifigs is finally getting made (TROS Senate) and if Bly & Bacara show up, they're nothing to scoff at either. Plus the CIS MTT and UT-AT aren't remakes, so that's nice to see as well! And even the remakes are welcome in my book (V-19, U-Wing). The Night Trooper BP is also a highlight for me, especially if Enoch is included! The budget for new pieces has to go somewhere. 2025 overall still has good chances to dethrone 2024 for me (and that's saying something), but definitely not thanks to SW, unless the remaining sets cater to me specifically Other themes are doing the heavy lifting here

I wasn‘t saying any of those will get book nooks, my point was that there are quite a few (sub)themes based on book adaptations, if you bend the rules enough We also have Jurassic Park, Dune, and others, but I fully agree that most of the adaptations the sets are based on have next to nothing to do with the books. HP & LOTR are indeed the only direct ones And arguably the first JP. Most of them, but there are exceptions like Winnie the Pooh and Hunchback. And not to be pedantic, but most of the fairy tales were published as books

Fingers crossed the recent Gold Leader hint has nothing to do with Enoch. I know, I know, putting named characters in battle packs isn‘t a popular idea (and for valid reasons), but it‘s our best shot at getting an Enoch minifig anytime soon He also might have different armour when we see him again in either S2 of Ahsoka or Filonie‘s movie, so now would be a good time

Minecraft not only gets its first AC this year, but also an encyclopedia! The exclusive minifig pretty much has to be a new player skin! Fingers crossed for something creative like a skin based on the classic red-shirt blue-pants smiley minifig

Indeed. The two book nook sets we know of are based on movie adaptions of books, appropriately enough, which Spider-man 2 isn‘t (unless you count comics are books, but nobody would call SM2 a book adaptation)
