That I fully agree with! Having a new character in an AC is feasible, and as others have pointed out, they‘ve done it before with General Merrick. If they can afford new prints for Xmas sweaters, they can afford prints for new characters too

Why waste money on a new piece for a set with a shelflife of like 3 months when they could insert it into a regular set that will stay on shelves for at least 1.5 years? It‘s simply a much safer investment. I highly doubt a new piece would be good enough of an incentive to offset that loss. The ACs would have to sell like crazy for that to happen. Besides, ACs are some of the least versatile sets in existence, from a sales perspective. You could buy any random set as a birthday gift, a reward, or for any other event. But what kid cares about an AC after Xmas?

It‘s indeed a bit strange, but you could argue that these sections aren‘t that essential for having a cool Hogwarts display. The Great Hall, Main Tower, and other important expansions (Clock Tower and Astronomy Tower) should absolutely be on shelves at the same time, but these three in particular aren‘t quite as vital in my opinion Speaking of expansions: do you guys have any idea which one could be used to finally give us an OotP-specific Hogwarts set? The Main Tower will very likely be based on CoS or PoA, so it‘d have to be another one. The Clock Tower has a strong link to PoA, and despite it serving as a GoF set in 2019, I feel they‘d go for another PoA set. Similarly, a new Astronomy Tower would make the most sense as a HBP set. I can‘t think of a specific stand-out castle section that played a big part in OotP… I know I’ve been harping on it, but it’s kinda bonkers how OotP is the only HP movie (besides DH1, obviously) that still has no castle section dedicated to it

That would look terrible. I don‘t mind brick-built creatures, unless they‘re featured in the same set as moulded ones Just replace the T-Rex from the visitor center with its brick-built counterpart from the diorama and you‘ll see how silly that looks. In my opinion, the mostly likely creatures we‘ll see are the mutant, a mosasaurus, Roberta/Rexy, and an aquilops since it‘s apparently the movie‘s mascot. Fingers crossed for the others too, but I‘m not confident they‘all make it. I‘d say titanosaurus is the least likely just because of its size alone.

No way they‘ll ever introduce a new moulded piece in an AC, and for good reason. ACs reach their EOL extremely quickly, even more so than CMF series. It‘d be a waste of money. Sure, you could argue they could use the pieces for other sets afterwards, but if that was the plan, they‘d just do it vice versa and introduce the pieces in regular sets first, like they‘re doing now

My top priority is the mosasaurus. If they get that one right, I consider the rest a bonus!

He‘s not a new character though, we had him in the Ghostrider set in 2016 My guess: It‘s his regular costume, but with the usual flame effect pieces to represent his powers

That‘d be worse. It‘s likely included in the $150 set, and if it‘s the only dino in that set, there‘s no chance we get all 7 of the important ones All of the main antagonists were featured in the flagship set each wave, and I don‘t see them breaking this trend.

Not the first time it happens, but it‘s always weird when we know more about sets scheduled to release up to 7 months after others Case in point, we know the full minifig list of the Enterprise, but still have no clue who‘s included in the Bag End set, despite the latter releasing in April and the former in November I‘m not expecting a full list just yet, but it‘d be nice to know some details. We already knew about Karkaroff and Crouch Sr by this point last year!

Oh, I forgot about the mutant! I was mostly thinking of the 3 MacGuffinosauri. Yeah, 7 dinos in 4 sets is gonna be tricky

The minifig lists seem to be a bit late this year At this point in time last year, we already had a partial list! Not that I‘m expecting much out of this wave minifig-wise, but I still would like to know if there‘s anything remotely exciting here ^^

It‘s a shame we‘re only getting one set based on the movie, as the trailer alone shows there’d be potential for more. At this point though, we should consider ourselves lucky we‘re even getting one Also, making The Thing a minifig was the right choice. He isn‘t taller than the others, as we can see in the group shots!

Why? You don‘t have to buy them if you don‘t like them There are plenty of people who collect them, like I do. They are a separate theme, so it‘s not like they’re taking the spots of playsets.

Wasn‘t that confirmed to be nothing more than a pun on exabricks’ part because he had negative set news? Any new character (or version) is a win in my book, but I‘d rather have a different new villain, to be honest.
