I‘ll buy the set either way, but I would feel a bit cheated if Gringotts was missing. This thing is called „Diagon Alley“, not „most of Diagon Alley with its (arguably) most iconic building missing, please wait until next spring to find out if we bother to release it and then fork out another 100$“

The way I see it, the whole issue can be broken down to this: Is Diagon Alley complete without Gringotts? No? Then TLG is trying to sell an incomplete 400$ set That‘s a bit too shady for my liking. Sure, TLG is a company, but their reputation means a lot to them and this would just be cash-grabby.

Does Gringotts really need other stickers though? The last one had four; two for the sign and two for the portraits. The latter probably weren’t even canon, I mean why would a bank run and owned by goblins hang portraits of random wizards on their walls (Or maybe I missed something and they‘re there after all) Anyway, I assume it‘s not included to prevent disappointment. Hoping for stuff being included in sets based on leaks has rarely paid off in the past (e.g. additional characters in 79017) , so I‘m not doing it this time There are counterexamples too (Babymort), but still, not risking it

@Borex & @Surge: Good to know, thanks! So it probably is a standard extra part then I didn’t forget that one The set apparently uses three of these (two for the stepping stones in the lava area and one for the question block) and there’s a fourth one as a replacement part

I’m more than happy with the list of shops, but I really hope Gringotts is included since I don’t fancy waiting until next summer for DA to be completed LC and B&B I could live without, but Gringotts cannot be omitted Minifig-wise, I’m already satisfied if Lockhart and Lucius are included. F&B being featured basically confirms the former and strongly implies the latter. The other minifigs are a bonus to me

Just built the starter pack, love it! Can‘t wait to build the other sets. One thing though: has anyone else‘s copy had an extra 2x2 light bluish gray round plate? Because mine did. I’ve had way weirder spare parts than this before, but still Bricklink doesn’t have their inventory up yet, so couldn’t check there

Well said Plus you could spend that money on much dumber things Heresy Jk, as much as I like to make fun of MC, they‘re alright as their products are mostly different enough from LEGO‘s. What I did despise though was Kre-o with their blatant rip-offs of very specific moulds even (rest in pieces!). At least MC usually create their own stuff

More than I would like to admit Upwards of 5000$ for sure, and it gets worse and worse every year since they keep releasing more and more licensed themes and large D2C sets and now there‘s the Art sets too I wouldn‘t be surprised if I managed to crack 10k$ for the first time this year ...I truly am a freak, aren’t I? Finally living up to that „creative“ user name my 18 year brain came up with. Send help

I got all the Star Wars, Super Mario, Marvel, Monkie Kid and Art sets (plus the Grand Piano and the Trolls set), so that should take a while And a young kitten too to keep me extra busy Day 1 and all I managed to assemble was the Monkie King Brickhead

At least there‘s the insane amount of sets from other themes that just came out (or are about to come out if you‘re in the US) to keep us busy I‘m pretty sure I won‘t be done with all of them by the time the reveal finally happens

Huh, didn’t realise those were two different moulds. The beaks in particular are noticeably different when you directly compare them. The more you know I agree, a completely new mould would be great, same goes for the frog. Both of these moulds are classic, but the moulded eyes don’t really fit with the modern design language any more. I don’t want the frog mould to be retired though as it’s a surprisingly versatile piece, as the designers prove over and over again Usually parts like that don’t coexist with their replacement, so I hope they make an exception here if they actually create a new frog mould in the future

Isn’t that the same mould as in the 90s, just with a marbled effect? Seems like another candidate for a third series While I would’ve liked their inclusion, I wouldn’t want Marge & Ropper to replace any of the characters we ended up getting

Still no CMF reveal... Welp, doesn’t look the DA reveal is going to happen before the middle of August after all I‘m sure the reveal event would have been something special, but by putting this off until the very last minute, they’re basically asking for it to be leaked It’s like challenging a thunderstorm by swirling a metal rod around on an open field

And it doesn‘t emulate the original design either since it‘s just blank minifigures instead of the more specific-looking characters on the fanart I hope it‘s not real
