  1. I don‘t blame you, the SW thread is one of the few exceptions to that rule I was also surprised when the 2021 thread was created
  2. @THELEGOBATMAN: Shouldn‘t we discuss this is in the 2021 thread though? It‘s been up for a while now
  3. Pictures of the retail catalogue have leaked in the usual place The X-Wing looks decent, but the dark gray ball joint piece on the TIE really doesn‘t look good
  4. I don‘t think they‘re really able to fast-track sets like that Sure, they managed to produce a replacement wave back in 2015 when BvS was delayed, but they had way more time than they would have now. Next year is going to be very light on DC I‘m afraid.
  5. It‘s just a rumour at the moment, so take this with a grain of salt, but Dune will allegedly take The Batman‘s current release slot, so you know what this would mean It’s probably for the best not to look forward to any film-based sets (and films for that matter) right now
  6. There‘s one part of the process that doesn‘t work the same way it did before, namely the testing sessions with kids. There are ways around it (deliver the prototypes to kids‘ homes, rely on foolproof set ideas that don‘t require testing, etc.), but it‘s not quite the same
  7. Thanks for sharing! So that's one set more than in 2019 I wonder if they'll split the wave again
  8. Have you read the statement? It clearly says convention exclusives are exempt from that rule I‘m not happy about it either, but that‘s how it is
  9. Also, this would‘ve been a good opportunity to round out the Spiderverse cast by including Peni Parker and SP//dr in one of the sets, but NOPE. More Venom and Carnage it is
  10. I‘m honestly surprised they didn‘t throw in Vulture somewhere, he’s pretty much the only one of the usual suspects who‘s missing
  11. Promobricks has some updates regarding the minifigs in the upcoming Spidey sets, but nothing new under the sun. Venom, Mysterio, Spider-Gwen, Doc Ock (with a different hairpiece, oooohhhh ), Carnage, Green Goblin. YAWN
  12. Convention exclusives are explicitly exempt from the „regional exclusivity“ rule And they can‘t just mass-produce a set that was intended as a limited edition promo, at least not that quickly. There might also be a contractual obligations at play here, even though SDCC was cancelled early-on
  13. Interestingly, this set and the Nebulon B Frigate still have the SDCC logo on the box, which the Bespin Duel, Wonder Woman and Toad sets didn‘t. I assume the versions they’ll sell on s@h will have similarly redesigned boxes Anyway, I sincerely hope that at least Red Guardian will show up in a polybag set next year, similar to the SDCC-exclusive Cptn Marvel. Maria Rambeau’s head on the other hand is still exclusive to that set, so I expect at least one of the figs to stay exclusive as well
  14. Hey, at least something was approved Some people act like this is the worst announcement of all times, when we once had a review period where not a single set was chosen Now THAT was disappointing! My favourites didn‘t make it, but what they did choose isn‘t half bad and we still have some cool ones releasing rather soon
  15. The results of the latest review will be announced today! The time is apparently 9pm, but I have no idea which time zone this refers to Fingers crossed for the Krusty Krab!
  16. Are you talking about the previous two years? Because this year, we got a lot of info during the Nuremberg Toy Fair, courtesy of a German youtuber who attended. His information was worded confusingly, but ended up being true 100%. It was on Feb 1st if you want to check for yourselves
  17. Bummer. The other two (London & New York) are still scheduled for their usual dates, but even if they aren’t delayed, they‘ll be of little use to us Oh well, at least there are the January sets to tide us over until March, when the minifig leaks for the summer wave should start Edit: spoke too soon, the NYTF has been cancelled So only the LTF remains and looking at the situation in the UK, it won‘t be long until that one is cancelled or delayed as well
  18. I don‘t mind a bit of speculation, but this could easily go overbord if we‘re not careful about it. Wouldn‘t be the first time a rumour got traction only because we speculated about it here on EB, creating a vicious circle My 2 cents: If this guy is correct, I‘d like to know why none of the other leakers have heard anything about these two alleged sets. If they‘re not in the retailer catalogue, which has to be the source for most if not all 2021 rumours, they have to be exclusives of sorts, which doesn‘t make much sense. Something‘s fishy here
  19. I‘d rather they spend the budget on entirely new dino parts instead of a redesign of a dino we just got 2 years ago
  20. Good point. There are some extremists like in every fandom, but at least they're less organised and less loud The fandom menace on the other hand is just the worst Still, this rumour (if we want to call it that) is very weird. If true, the Jan wave would consist of four $30 classroom / book sets and two $100 DA add-ons. What madness is this?
  21. Two points here: He does have a decent following, but the same cannot be said about his anonymous source. So he could easily have been tricked by someone who won't suffer the same consequences ...if there are any, which brings me to: Sadly, lying usually doesn't have consequences. Let me tell you a story about Darth Plagueis the Wise Mike Zeroh the Dumb, a stupid youtuber who has built himself a career out of fabricated "leaks". He posts like 3 videos a day filled with made-up nonsense and despite doing this for years, never got anything right, not even by accident (how do you do that?). He's a complete hack and the butt of many jokes in every Star Wars community imaginable, but he's still got a sizable following. Should a certain someone ever dare to show their face again, I'm convinced some people on IG will forgive them and still believe every word they're spewing. Sad, but true
  22. I'm legit crying, thank you
  23. I‘m just sad we didn‘t get a CMF series before the paradigm shift happened 12 figures is ok for a Looney Tunes series, but for a Marvel one it‘s not nearly enough
