Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Even though there’s nothing exclusive about Draco, it’s still an interesting minifig: Year1+2 hair, year3+4 legs, and year6 face And it’s only the second set without Harry -

Wait, this thing is real after all? Well, my sincere apologies to the leaker(s) I didn‘t believe I guess November, like the DA GWP in 2018 -

@Guyon2002: That makes a lot of sense. Thank you and your source for providing this information, much appreciated! @Bugbot20082: I like your ideas, but shouldn‘t the AC already be part of the set list, most likely 76394? You‘re also bringing up a good point with the Niffler. There‘s no way Hedwig will remain the only creature build in this theme (cf. Star Wars where this has become a yearly or even semi-yearly thing) and a Niffler would be the perfect choice -

It‘s not the only HP set that has been saved from the executioner (Macnair?). I think the only ones still reaching their EOL this year are Rise of Voldy, the Beauxbaton carriage, Quidditch, and the Hungarian Horntail @Guyon2002: Is there a specific reason your source allowed you to share the information this time? Are they getting adventurous? *insert „I‘m in danger“ Ralph meme here* -

I don‘t think there‘s an iconic enough section of the castle missing that would justify a $250 set Unless it includes the Great Hall, but that one just got off the EOL chopping block again, and I‘d rather get new stuff before they go down the remake route -

Very impressive list, I have to say If this was the final wave, they‘d go out with a bang (unlike the semi-whimper in 2011), but there‘s no reason to assume that of course. I was quite surprised at first at the amount of sets, but then I realised that next year marks the 20 year anniversary of PS plus the 10th anniversary of DHII. So I wouldn‘t be surprised if the sets were mainly based on these two films (plus DHI ofc). -

I certainly hope the Mando set will be more interesting than that. It‘s the only set in the entire wave with new minifig potential so they hopefully don‘t cheap out like that -

True. It‘s also weird that it was never explained if he‘s still alive or not. Grindy didn‘t use polyjuice potion apparently, so there was no real reason to keep him around Maybe he‘s been dead for years, but personally, I want the real one to show up in FB3 to kick Grindy‘s butt That would be amazing A set based on that scene has so much potential, especially since it‘s the last time we see masked Death Eaters -

Technically, we never got Crabbe at all since that was just a polyjuiced Ron Which also means we technically never got representations of the real Moody and Graves -

Sure, scalpers come up with a semi-random price and if there are people willing to buy at that particular price, it sets a precedent, which then informs the market value. What I don‘t get is why they set it as high as they did when there‘s nothing exclusive about the set. Or to put it differently: why people are treating it as if it were an actual SDCC exclusive with unique prints (rather than a somewhat normal set sold on s@h for a limited time in the US) and paying that much for it I‘ve been tempted multiple times to buy convention exclusives, and I did on a couple of occassions (both Unkitties, the Collector, and Barb), but this sort of behaviour should not be rewarded IMO -

I don‘t really get why though... Unlike previous convention exclusive sets, there‘s nothing unique to this set apart from the packaging. Sure, the figs are kinda rare at the moment, but this is about to change for the Luke minifig at least It‘s even weirder when comparing it to the other two former convention exclusives (Wonder Woman & Toad). These two sets go for very reasonable prices, so why can‘t the Bespin one? The aftermarket can be odd at times -
I think the only reason the possibility of minidolls was brought up in the first place was the set numbers. Numbers starting with 4 are usually reserved for minidoll lines, but there are exceptions of course (e.g. Trolls)

DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I‘m wondering if the sets based on The Batman could be part of that set list as well. This depends on the point in time the list was first created though. The announcement of the first delay of the film from May 21 to October 21 was made in late April, so the list shouldn‘t include the sets any more if it was created after April. How realistic is that? Edit: And of course there‘s also the possibility that the sets could‘ve been a 1HY release (i.e. in May) even with the Oct 21 release date of the film. Two month gaps between film and sets are definitely more common, but three month gaps are not unheard of. Aquaman even had a four month gap -

Technically, it‘s not a character at all, a Boggart is classified as a beast Not sure how that would work. Do you have specific scenes or locations in mind that didn‘t make it into the films? Personally, I can‘t think of anything important or set-worthy they left out Besides, LEGO sets based on a non-visual medium is a bit of a weird idea anyway -

There's alleged leaks of Speedy's and Tweety's heads on IG... However, after the recent Sesame Street debacle, I don't trust mould leaks like that any more The torsos being blank is very suspicious too since forging a torso is a lot harder than sticking a competitor's mould on a minifig torso Speaking of which: The eyes remind me of the figures released by Character Building, which has been brought up before -

And even if the planned wave had non-JWD sets among them, that in no way guarantees a separate release. Maybe it‘s just more convenient for them to delay the entire wave rather then starting production for only one or two sets Sure, they split the Minions wave in two, but in that case, the sets were already produced and even shipped to some places, which is how I got mine. Feels WEIRD to own sets a full year before their official launch -

I think the only way something could leak before spring 2022 is via TLG themselves, like the picture of the second HP CMF series they accidentally made publicly accessible 5 months too early And that‘s VERY unlikely to say the least -

I‘ve just noticed that the name of the store that leaked the catalogue is printed across every single page, so that‘s how they try to prevent them from leaking Tracing it back has never been easier! It’s a Swiss store btw, not a German one as previously thought. They will certainly get into trouble for this. A source burnt forever -
Lego Minecraft 2020 Rumors & Discussion

Hm, makes sense. They could still size it down though or just give us a smaller section of one Agreed Two things though: Why do they split the wave into three sub-waves (December, February, March)? Same thing with the Star Wars sets... And where are the three Big Figs scheduled for December? -

It‘s just generic business/marketing talk, as is always the case in these retailer catalogues
