This isn't the first 80$ SW set to only include 3 minifigs, but probably the only one with nothing but repeats, not even slight variations. Even the minifigs in Grievous' starfighter had SOME variations compared to previous versions... This just pales in comparison with the 2015 version The summer wave better make up for this big time, but I probably shouldn't hold my breath. At this point I'm not even expecting any additional Mando sets any more

And the 4+ X-Wing only has Poe and BB8 I was starting to like this wave, and now this. I wasn't expecting much for these two remaining sets, but this is really pathetic, especially the Shuttle's minifigs selection. Just 3, and every single one of them as common as it gets. What's going on with this theme? Where has the budget gone? I'm not even kidding, there has to be a huge budget cut at work here. At this point, it's probably better not to expect anything from this theme anymore. If the summer wave is as bad as this, they can keep it

This sort of poll should represent potential customers, not the following of some anti-social media overlord who just vote to please their sinister master, rather than having genuine interest in the thing they’re voting on In my opinion, all four of the choices should have been new IPs. Personally, I want Jaws to win since we haven’t seen anything Jaws-related so far (apart from the parody poster in the Stranger Things set and Bruce’s cameo in The LEGO Batman Movie)

I might be wrong about this, but didn’t the MCU films retcon / nullify stuff from tie-in material before? Movies will always outweigh tie-in comics, novels, and sometimes shows, so even if the MCU hasn’t done this before, I doubt the Shang-Chi writers sat together and said “we want to include Ultimo here, but too bad we can’t because he appeared in an obscure tie-in comic 53 people have read”

Falconfan thinks they’re Marvel sets though, so we probably shouldn’t get our hopes up I foresee a big, gaping, ‘The Batman’-shaped hole in next year’s DC slate

Pictures of the Coral Reef and Pig House sets have finally been revealed! The Coral Reef looks appropriately colourful. I appreciate the inclusion of the two puffer fish and the Drowned looks great! Too bad his signature weapon is missing The best thing about the pig house is the play feature to blow it up

Didn’t they cut that battle out because they thought it’d be too similar to the Battle of Hogwarts? I kind of agree with that decision, from a moviegoer perspective. The Burrow scene is indeed quite controversial (I’m pretty indifferent towards it myself), but at least it led to two amazing sets

Meh, the teenage drama nonsense is a big part of both the book and the film, so they’re on the same level to me But calling it “garbage” goes a bit too far, for me at least. I still like it but not nearly as much as the rest. The parts with Slughorn, the Voldy flashbacks, and the Inferi cave scene basically saved it for me

Besides, 2021 already is an anniversary of sorts, given that DH part 2 celebrates its 10th anniversary too, so the DH sets are a celebration in their own right I must confess I’m a bit biased here since both parts of DH are among my favourites in the franchise. I generally gravitate towards franchise finales, because that’s when sh*t really goes down IMO, DH part 1 just cannot be beaten in terms of atmosphere, so I hope they manage to capture some of that magic in set form

Agreed. She’s in desperate need for an update (still laughing at Leia with TCW Anakin’s hairpiece over there) and there’s plenty of opportunities to do so. Maybe if we get sets based on the Cassian Andor series?

Nonetheless, I hope they’ll continue to sprinkle in ST sets in the future, even though there’s not that much left they haven’t done yet. Give me Babu Frik and the Senate and I’m all set Not sure if I agree fully. If they release a set with Kuiil and a blurrg or two in the near future, all will be forgiven. If they don’t, I’ll join your band Good point. Some of the characters I’ve mentioned (like Dryden, the Senate, or Galen Erso, not so sure about Saw) could easily be released in ACs, polybags or books. The Maul minifig from the recent encyclopedia was the Solo version after all, which goes to show they haven’t completely abandoned the spin-offs yet

Maybe in the next X-Wing released in 2023/24 It’s pretty obvious they’re struggling with including any new minifigs in OT sets, because there’s so little left. And Imperial officers / Rebel pilots are pretty boring variations IMO Having Dodonna as the highlight of the wave is pretty telling. Compare this to other properties, where the list of missing characters is embarassing at points, especially the shows and spin-offs. It’s mind-boggling to me that Shmi, Boss Nass, most of the CIS leadership, ROTS Cody, Bo-Katan, Galen Erso, Saw Gerrera, and Dryden Vos still don’t have a minifig representation to this day. Babu Frik, the TROS version of the Senate, 90% of the main characters of Resistance, and Kuiil are also notable emissions. In essence, I’m fine with more OT repeats (as they have no choice there), as long as they balance that out a bit with new minifigs from everything non-OT. Throw us collectors a bone or two, TLG

A new picture of the pig house set has leaked (probably just a better shot of the retailer catalogue). The pig house itself looks funny and fits right in with the chicken and sheep builds, but too bad there doesn’t seem to be anything new here in terms of mobs or accessories
