Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Factory-leak season is finally kicking into high gear So far, it‘s just been a Ninjago Villain and Rocket Raccoon, but it can‘t be that much longer until we get some proper minifig leaks for HP too (still sceptical about that Sinestra „leak“). What do you guys hope to see first? -

If the sets are indeed released in August as originally thought, then we shouldn‘t be surprised The earlier the leak, the riskier it is for everyone involved. If the sets are also released in June as suggested by the current list on Promobricks, then we should hear about them pretty soon -

As are all of the HP sets minus the D2C one, if the current list on Promobricks is to be believed. Maybe somebody needs to ask them if that‘s actually the case or if someone simply slipped up Edit: I volunteer. Let‘s hope they read the comments section in their older articles -
Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Are we sure this is based on Endgame and doesn‘t just repurpose the comic-inspired Thanos minifig from last year‘s mech? If so, this has to be the weirdest MCU set so far, especially since it doesn‘t appear to be a 4+ set. Almost feels more like a convention exclusive with that chibi-style, like the 60s Batmobile SDCC exclusive. Or maybe it‘s supposed to represent the ship mid-size-change as it leaves the QR and emerges from the portal in the Avengers HQ -

The 4+ set is the only lacklustre one here in my opinion. The appeal of the Iron Monger set on the other hand is rather straightforward: it‘s the very first set based on Iron Man And how can you say no to a minifig based on Jeff Bridges? -

YES Speaking of DH: It just dawned on me that by the time we will finally get our precious DH sets, I will aready have completed my PhD I was expecting to „complete“ that aspect of the collection (every film being represented) before diving into the hard part of the thesis, but of course TLG had other plans ... and yes, I will make you call me Dr. Lego-Freak afterwards -

Agreed. IW/Endgame Wanda being included in the Final Battle set and her WV costume as a CMF minifig would be the best possible outcome I think ...Well, second-best. But a WV set has become increasingly unlikely -

Because he‘s an extremely popular character, despite how many times he‘s already appeared in sets Or maybe he threatens to eat the designers if they don‘t include a minifig of his in every set they can -
Looney Tunes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nope, of course they haven‘t But this series is different in two regards: it‘s the first licensed series with a reduced roster and every character requires a new mould, so there‘s no cheapening out with recolours Combined, this means they should get their priorities straight. Let‘s take your Mer-Batman example: I doubt it would‘ve been included in TLBM S2 if it only had 12 minifigs. If it was still in there, then only as a cost-saving measure, which is not a valid point if there are no costs to be saved -
Looney Tunes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I’m not saying he’s too obscure to be turned into a minifig, my point is that he‘s certainly not in the top 12 of the most famous/iconic Looney Tunes characters -

They could easily return to the previous style next year, unless the whole design team simultaneously lost their minds At least that‘s what I hope, same goes for DH sets. I guess the overall lesson here is as easy to learn as it is to forget: don‘t take anything for granted -

I feel we went off the deep end here guys We were told to lower our expectations, not to nuke them, eating the remains and cremating them (not sure in which order). I think we have lowered them to such a ridiculous degree that basically anything will look good at this point. Which isn't a bad thing per se, but we still need to lighten up a bit
