LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The CMF „rumour“ is obvious BS. Not only wouldn‘t it make much sense for it to follow the same pattern as the Marvel series, it‘s also way too early for any sort of 2022 info to leak, let alone CMF rumours Just some desperate soul trying to find some short-lived relevance on IG -

Still pretty ‚meh‘ on the whole buildable object idea I hope the set includes Dumbledoro and at least 10 of the chocolate frog card tiles to spice things up a bit -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly. There aren‘t that many films that got back into development hell AFTER cast members had already been announced (Nic Cage as Superman being one of the very few prominent examples). The film is happening, no need for doomsaying -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Yes, a lot of projects have been shelved, but long before any cast members were announced and in most cases, they dodged major bullets by doing so (Josh Trank‘s Boba Fett film and whatever nonsense D&D cooked up in particular). Please correct me if I‘m wrong, but as far as I‘m aware, every single Disney/Lucasfilm project that went past the casting stage actually made it -

Indy returning seems like a no-brainer to me. The 2008-9 range sold decently IIRC and TLG has expressed interest in re-exploring the theme a couple of years back. Indy 5 may have been stuck in development hell for a while now, but so was KotCS and as @LOTR34 points out, there have been lots of casting announcements lately, meaning the film is ready to enter into production soon I hope they‘ll also release sets based on the first four films, just like they did last time. Just imagine how the minifigs could look with all the techniques they‘ve introduced in the meantime -

Excellent idea The only issue I see with this is the fact it‘s part of a weapons pack, and a newly-coloured one at that… Then again, there’s a precedence case where a pack like that was recoloured with only a single piece actually being used in the set, namely the Voltron Ideas set I‘m mentally prepared for a black 4L bar, but fingers crossed your idea pans out -

Agreed, love that hairpiece The alternate facial expression looks pretty scary for a minifig -

@krimimimi: Excellent summary All I can add are some rumours: I think at least one additional golden minifig has been rumoured, no idea which of the sets are concerned Since the golden Snape hairpiece wasn‘t a production outlier, the golden Draco hairpiece might show up in a set as well The D2C set is rumoured to be a collection of buildable objects called „Hogwarts Icons“ The boardgame in the AC is printed on the cardboard flap And that‘s it -

A comedian / game show host, mainly known for Family Feud. No idea what he has to do with JW. That „leak“ is obviously fake too -

Thanks for sharing The new bigfig head on a regular minifig looks just as hilarious as expected I hope they’ll make good use of that piece in future sets -
I love that story For those of you who don't know/remember: After a wave of complaints from a Turkish community in Austria, claiming the set was mocking a mosque, TLG stated that 1) they should get in contact with Lucasfilm instead because the set is very faithful to its movie counterpart and 2) they would still listen and retire the set, which the community then took as a win. Little did they realise that the date TLG announced (end of 2013) was most likely already the planned EOL date for the set, so they didn't actually pull it Perfect response on both accounts in my book Agreed, which is why I like EB so much. Discussions can get heated, but they rarely devolve into toxicity unlike every other forum or social media platform I know of

So it looks like they’re August releases after all Korg’s headpiece then joins the likes of Trudgen’s head and that Trolls worm guy’s head as a curiously early leak -

You might be onto something. A leaker (no idea who) has said that the hairpiece appears in another set this year, and there aren’t that many options left (Star Wars, Marvel, Mario, Seinfeld, and Home Alone can be savely ruled out, leaving only Monkie Kid and Jurassic World) -

My $0.02 on the matter: Being neutral in regards to every single subject matter simply isn’t possible, nor desirable or morally sound (and I’m saying that as a Swiss ). LEGO represents a lot of different messages and values (like creativity, imagination etc), and inclusiveness has been one of them for a while now, hence the introduction of the wheelchair piece, hearing aid print, guide dog harness, and a more even split between male and female minifigs in in-house themes So to me, this set is a natural step in the same direction. People getting offended at an innocuous message like this says more about them then anything else And as I’ve brought up in another context before, demanding something to be apolitical is in itself a political stance

True, it appears in TCW and ROTS too, but AOTC is undoubtedly THE movie when it comes to the gunship It’s introduced there and has a lot of screentime, which cannot be said for ROTS. Plus the version that appears in TCW doesn’t have the bubble turrets, so if you consider all of this, AOTC was the obvious choice
