If a friggin LOGO is the most interesting-sounding set of the bunch, you know you’ve screwed up. I will never make fun of Luke’s Landspeeder again because while there was a fleet of them between 2010 and 2020, at least they were always 3 years apart and we had plenty of other cool sets to chose from! With DC, it’s like nothing but Landspeeders with the occasional interesting set here and there *sigh* I hope the Batmobiles will at least be interesting choices, so PLEASE not another Burtonmobile, Tumbler, or 66 one. So so so sick and tired of them. -

We were joking when we suggested a logo and three Batmobiles, and now it’s actually real?? This theme, I swear…. -

The overbearing influence of Disney and its negative impact

„Overbearing“ and „negative“ both don‘t apply here. The examples given are pretty minor, and of course the licensee has to listen to what the licenser suggests, it‘s their IP after all And none of the changes are downright negative I think. Besides, there are instances where TLG got what they wanted, for example with Krennic‘s Shuttle, which Lucasfilm wanted to be the 4-winged hero shuttle instead, but the designers convinced them otherwise. This seems to be more of a DIDNEY BAD kinda thing rather than anything objective. -

These seem like pretty harmless changes to me Having Greedo in the Cantina for instance was an absolute necessity ^^ Also, #11 is wrong since Zombie Strange is included in the set as well -

I chuckle every time long-legged Vader gets brought up You can try it out for yourself in BL Studio, and it looks HORRENDOUS The long arms and legs have their uses, but this ain‘t it. -

I would also like to see that, ideally with more gingerbread minifigs! This should be its own mini subtheme -

As a sucker for transparent pieces, especially trans-red and trans-orange ones, the recoloured dome pieces alone convinced me to buy the Xmas tree The rest of the set is excellent too! The price not so much, but the PPR seems okay. As for the WV train, it‘s pretty intriguing to see a 3D-printed piece in an official set! Un-LEGO-like as it may be, it‘s a fun inclusion I think. To me, it‘s akin to special parts like tubes, plastic sails, cloth pieces, and the like and will likely not be applied in any wider capacity, given how different the texture is and how there‘s no comparable clutch power I imagine

Kettleburn’s appearance was canonised after the fact, but they can‘t do the same with Binns, unless there‘s a random background ghost they can now claim was him Then again, they could just make up a design, like they did with other characters before, like the unseen shopkeepers and employees. -

Lego One Piece rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Battlinpanther's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, but the point there was that better alternatives existed I wasn’t advocating for new prints but rather more appropriate ones being used The only One Piece minifig that reuses a pre-existing faceprint is Makino and it‘s a good fit. All I‘m saying is that complaining about a lack of outfit variants and facial expressions is a bit nitpicky when it concerns a theme that‘s already well above average when it comes to minifig variations for the main characters ^^ -

Unless they somehow incorporate the Tale of the Three Brothers! Probably my favourite story within a story and a very uniquely animated scene -

Just finished the Hogsmeade set! Fun building experience and the result looks stunning! Four drawbacks for me: Where’s the acid pop jar? That print should still be around! No Mr Flume. I guess the 2021 faceprint wasn’t around anymore? Draco again relying on Kaz’ faceprint, despite having his own unique one. Fudge’s faceprint is a laughably bad choice. It ranks up there with Happy Hogan having Kaz’s faceprint! Sure, we’ve known anout the latter three since the reveal, but I still wanted to point them out again -

I see where you’re coming from, but consider this: despite the first wave only consisting of five sets, we got two or even three variants for every single main character, including multiple heads for a few of them. I can’t think of many other themes that did that Ideally, they would’ve featured exclusive variants of some of the crew members in the Baratie as well, but to me that’s a bit nitpicky with all the exclusive prints and pieces we got. As for the Baratie being a facade: If you look at it as a ship, yeah, it’s odd next to the Going Merry. However, it’s more of a location than a vehicle, so the open back playset style makes perfect sense to me. After all, the Baratie is a restaurant, not a transport or combat ship -

You can’t compare any regular minifigs, even in D2C or other large sets, to CMF series. They have their own budget where everything goes into the minifigs (new pieces, new prints, recoloured pieces), while regular sets have hundreds to thousands of other parts to account for. This always requires compromises. Plus, CMF series don’t have much bearing on storage space, given their intentionally short lifespan. Also, I heavily disagree about the Baratie minifigs being underwhelming. They basically surpassed most people’s very optimistic wishlists by including Garp, Helmeppo, and Coby, all with new prints and recoloured hairpieces, plus a new beard piece for Zeff! Apart from Mihawk’s questionable hat choice, I don’t see much room for complaints Sidenote: HdS is annoying as hell and I cringe every time I have to hear his pompous name or see his smug face. MandR is reasonable compared to his vitriolic bile. -

A wishlist-y set list from almost 2 weeks ago, posted in a tiny subreddit with less than 100 members, and no credible source attached? Well sign me up! Can’t wait to place these right next to my beloved Tower of Fate! Also, Guy “Gardener”? Yes, please include his exotic flower collection too.
