Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just finished the Hogsmeade set! Fun building experience and the result looks stunning! Four drawbacks for me: Where’s the acid pop jar? That print should still be around! No Mr Flume. I guess the 2021 faceprint wasn’t around anymore? Draco again relying on Kaz’ faceprint, despite having his own unique one. Fudge’s faceprint is a laughably bad choice. It ranks up there with Happy Hogan having Kaz’s faceprint! Sure, we’ve known anout the latter three since the reveal, but I still wanted to point them out again -

I see where you’re coming from, but consider this: despite the first wave only consisting of five sets, we got two or even three variants for every single main character, including multiple heads for a few of them. I can’t think of many other themes that did that Ideally, they would’ve featured exclusive variants of some of the crew members in the Baratie as well, but to me that’s a bit nitpicky with all the exclusive prints and pieces we got. As for the Baratie being a facade: If you look at it as a ship, yeah, it’s odd next to the Going Merry. However, it’s more of a location than a vehicle, so the open back playset style makes perfect sense to me. After all, the Baratie is a restaurant, not a transport or combat ship -

You can’t compare any regular minifigs, even in D2C or other large sets, to CMF series. They have their own budget where everything goes into the minifigs (new pieces, new prints, recoloured pieces), while regular sets have hundreds to thousands of other parts to account for. This always requires compromises. Plus, CMF series don’t have much bearing on storage space, given their intentionally short lifespan. Also, I heavily disagree about the Baratie minifigs being underwhelming. They basically surpassed most people’s very optimistic wishlists by including Garp, Helmeppo, and Coby, all with new prints and recoloured hairpieces, plus a new beard piece for Zeff! Apart from Mihawk’s questionable hat choice, I don’t see much room for complaints Sidenote: HdS is annoying as hell and I cringe every time I have to hear his pompous name or see his smug face. MandR is reasonable compared to his vitriolic bile. -

A wishlist-y set list from almost 2 weeks ago, posted in a tiny subreddit with less than 100 members, and no credible source attached? Well sign me up! Can’t wait to place these right next to my beloved Tower of Fate! Also, Guy “Gardener”? Yes, please include his exotic flower collection too. -

Happens regularly Like this year, where the Herbology Class (76445) was sandwiched between the January sets. Also, this is likely not the full list. As you say, no AC or D2C set, for instance ^^ -

I wish people would finally stop with the Glup Shitto nonsense It was funny for 5 femtoseconds, has been run into the ground months ago, and now it’s losing the little meaning it had by being applied to characters without rhyme or reason. What next, calling Vader a Glup Shitto for the little screentime he had in ANH? But yeah, we definitely need a figure of adult Rotta! Since they already showed him in the teaser, he shouldn’t be off-limits for either the May or June sets! -

I’d argue it’s in a much better position compared to the last few years ^^ Sure, that’s a low bar to clear and it’s still mostly Batsy, but we got our first Soup set in quite some time and our first DC modular! -

BURN THE HERETIC!! I know, that’s rich, coming from yours truly, the Blasphemous Sponge, but this heresy against the holy TIE Avenger will not stand! -

The Carrows are pretty likely I’d say, especially since Ralph Ineson has become a lot more well known in the meantime -

Fingers crossed for some sets, but I’m still sceptical about the DCU getting sets after they ignored Soup this year. Then again, if Across the Spider-Verse can get a set and a CMF series two years after the fact with its gross of $690 mio, I don’t see why Soup with its expected ~620 mio gross shouldn’t -

TFA was exceptional as it was the first SW movie in 10 years, after people believed there would never ever be another SW movie. The hype for that cannot be replicated, no matter what they do But yeah, they should get the marketing train started soon regardless! They already have a great teaser, just release that one Grogu will do most of the heavy lifting for sure -

At least they’re on the right track! Since the Disney 100 waves, we’ve had quite a few minifig sets and the trend is continuing. I’d still like to see more, but it’s much better now than before 2023! -

I agree, the wait was well worth it! Glad they were finally able to iron out the licensing issues, assuming that was reason we haven’t seen any Sony Marvel sets in over 20 years (besides the TASM 2 Electro polybag). Fingers crossed for BTSV sets in 2027 and more Raimi sets too! -

Gen II came out like a year later, how’s that any less nostalgic? And how about kids who grew up with Gens III, IV, V, or VI who are also adults now? -

The PPR is not the best indicator for the contents of a set though. For instance, the Wicked wall art set is $160 for 1518 pcs, so in a similar ballpark as the upcoming PS set with $170 for 1571 pieces -

Exactly. That would have made perfect sense if the challenges weren’t already featured in the Main Tower! I mean, they could still do it since one is a playset that’s part of the castle system, while the other is a display model for adults, so they wouldn’t necessarily cannibalise each other. Still a strange choice, if so. My guesses are either a collection of buildable items (despite the PPR suggesting a minifig set) or some type of diorama. Since the set’s named after the entire movie rather than a specific scene in it, maybe it’s a recreation of the poster or a mural, akin to the Wicked wall art set that just released? -

Blaspheming time: Gen I is one of the most overrated things in existence in my book, so I sincerely hope they give the other Gens lots of love too! Also: Charizard and Mewto are particularly overrated in my sacrilegious opinion. Those two don’t even crack my top 100 Pokémon, maybe not even 200 -

If we count every figure this year, it’s an easy to compile list for me (in no particular order): Babu Frik TROS Senate Galen Erso They have been my top 3 most wanted minifigs for a while, so it’s no surprise they also make the top of this list -

The third 18+ set released in March will be 6838 pcs for $650 Must be the first time a theme gets a set this large so early in its lifespan!! Also the first time a non-SW licensed theme gets a set north of $500, right? Well, this is certainly one way to set it apart from Mega‘s past offerings -

Nope! Generally speaking, there are two indicators for whether a set will get a GWP: Early rumours. Usually, we know early on whether sets get their own GWPs (see the Black Pearl or the Enterprise where the GWP rumours appeared pretty much simultaneously) Pre-orders. If a set can be pre-ordered, like Arkham, there won‘t be a GWP
