Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I‘m not in a particular rush, the mediocre aftertaste the FoX-Men have left has barely been washed out after all And the less said about the foul stench Fox’s Abysmal Four have left, the better -

Eh, I‘ll wait for them to join the MCU -

Releasing a comic-based $500 set for the 10th anniversary of a theme kickstarted by the first Avengers film would be a bit tone-deaf This theme simply would not exist if it weren‘t for the MCU (yeah yeah, the MCU in turn wouldn‘t exist without the comics, but that‘s beside the point) -

There is no such thing… yet. And even if there was, who says they all have to be comic-based? Pretty hard to establish a pattern based on a sample size of N=1 -

Not necessarily, there’s nothing stopping them from revealing the sets on the same day they would have originally If Universal greenlit the reveal for NYTF, they surely wouldn’t mind an online announcement around the same time -

Me neither. The longer extremities on the Toy Story 3 minifigs only worked because they had oversized heads. Try putting on normal-sized heads and you’ll see how horrific and cursed that looks And no, the new bigfig head introduced with last year’s Thanos fig doesn’t improve the look in the slightest -

Well then please link to a statement addressing it Otherwise it’s just an assumption based on what you think their supposed agenda is Indeed, and the other one is HelloGreedo. Those two are the only level-headed SW Youtubers I’ve ever come across. I swear, if I ever find a time machine, I go back to the late 70s and convince whoever came up with the original name to change it to “Maclunkey One” and then return to see the same discussion as today -

I think they may face the same problem they did with Deadpool in that the R-rated film version is now the most well-known one Kind of hard to separate that right now -

That's just an assumption. They've never stated anywhere why they changed it, and as I've said, there could be a story reason. I suggest waiting for the season to end before jumping to conclusions -

I was insisting that it may get renamed for the show, and it did Since the ship hasn't shown up yet, there may also be a story reason for the change. That would fall in line with where the show is headed: Boba re-inventing himself and creating a new path for himself, starting with his metaphorical rebirth by escaping the Sarlacc. It's all very intentional Yes, the legacy of Star Wars has forever been tainted because they changed the name of a hairdryer-shaped ship which has never been uttered in any of the movies -

“Experimental” and “unexpected” are not the same thing though Sure, not many expected a microscale Hogwarts, but it wasn’t experimental because they’ve done it multiple times before that and after. It’s an established scale for huge things. And there was absolutely nothing experimental about DA The Icons Collection however was experimental, since they’ve never done a collection of items as a D2C set before -

A microscale Hogwarts model and especially DA were not experimental at all I would put that in the Mundungus Fletcher category, but then again it did have more screentime than him... Still not worthy of the top spot There's no universe in which the MoM deserves a set larger than the ultimate Hogwarts one -
The next Bond film will be a reboot of sorts due to the way No Time To Die ended I’m pretty sure the next iteration will keep the tone of the Craig era though. People are used to that down to Earth approach now and I’m not sure how well a more cheesy reimagining would work nowadays

This isn’t new, Wendy’s Twitter account has been known for exchanges like this for at least ten years @Maple Amazon absolutely should get sued as well for their horrible workplace conditions, but I’m not sure how they factor into this particular discussion. TLG isn’t partnered with them -

Oh, they will. Some dummies on YT will milk this nonsense for weeks on end Good thing YT has re-enabled the channel “blocking” option. There are only two good SW youtubers anyway
