LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Pretty sure a third of the pieces in the Dagobah set are 1x1 trans-light-blue or trans-black tiles Also, no new moulds to drive up the price -

The May stuff will surely look splendid on display, but the minifig selection is still just SO boring Especially now that the force ghost piece turned out to be fake. That would‘ve been the saving grace for me. The August wave however sounds incredible! Didn’t expect two Kenobi sets so soon! And at that price point, the Justifier has some really good minifig potential. Also hoping for Cad Bane‘s new hat, which more than deserves a unique mould -

This is news! They also confirm that the €140 set is indeed the AT-TE and that the €70 one might be based on Andor -

It very briefly was on the summary table yesterday, which is why were discussing it Btw, which fake leaker prompted the recent discussions on IG? Was it legohio? Because they were obviously a pretender, no shock there I freely admit that I also fell for the excellent render of that force ghost piece, but realised what was up when they posted about that alleged Landspeeder windscreen part soon thereafter And the other recent fakers weren‘t even trying in the slightest -

Seems realistic I‘m hoping for non-TCW versions of Shaak Ti and Even Piell (or Eeth Koth) You‘re right, they removed it -

Promobricks haven‘t stated what the set is based on, right? While an AotC version could provide us with new or updated Jedi minifigs (normal-eyed Shaak Ti anyone? ), a TCW one would have almost unlimited powaaaa I mean potential Sure, it could also be based on RotS, but it‘s the least likely out of the three IMO -
DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

What kind of hint do you expect? The designers are sworn to secrecy, they can‘t just blurt out any random hints Besides, if there‘s nothing planned for this year in the first place, we also won‘t hear anything, simple as that. The only time I can recall where the lack of new products was clearly addressed was Vidiyo, and I really don‘t think the DC theme is on the verge of being cancelled. We just need to be patient -

Where did they confirm it? Can‘t find anything, neither on their website nor on their IG account Edit: Never mind, they simply updated their 2022 set list. I thought they addressed it in a post or something RIP, Gunship theories -

I'm only judging the ideas, not their potential executions A horrible idea can still be well-executed -

All jokes aside, maybe I need to clarify something: I don‘t hate the Quidditch Pitch as a location or even as a general set idea. The 2018 set for instance is really solid What I do hate however is the idea of it claiming the precious title of „largest HP set ever“ Would I like a $70 Dobby statue? Yes. A $470 one? Hell no Same principle. Only a handful of ideas are worthy in my eyes -

That reminds me: we still don‘t know what that Dobby hint by promobricks was about… If that even was a hint in the first place -

No, I‘m way too stubborn for that I want a complete collection, even if it kills me! And „spectacular“ is not really a word I would use to describe anything Quidditch-related …Except when the Death Eaters and Snatchers burned it down in DH part 2, that was quite a spectacular barbecue -

You mean Kingnono? Because kingwong is a reliable leaker, famous for his very subtle way of presenting leaked minifigs Legohio simply is a fraud. -

My ranking of D2C ideas would be as follows: Diagon Alley 2 Hogwarts Express Brick-built creature Dobby’s sock Brick-built items that aren‘t Dobby‘s sock Giant Harry Dobby Microscale Hogwarts 2.0 UCS Knight Bus The logo Vernon Dursley‘s moustache Buildable Dark Mark to hang on your ceiling Harry’s birthday cake the inevitable heat death of the universe …literally anything Quidditch pitch -

Because that'd be supremely silly Who in their right mind would buy a $470 Dobby statue? Might as well release a $1000 Jar-Jar head on a pike -

Promobricks have said so, thus they must be included Which exact variants is up for debate though. Sure, the overall set is based on MoM given the other minifigs, but they could still incorporate elements from multiple films that feature the Sanctum (like IW or NWH). Pretty sure the interior will also feature plenty of references to other MCU films, like some of the mystical artefacts we see or the self-filling beer mug from Ragnarok -

Could be any day now Of course they’ve been cracking down on leaks, but the Thor 4 and Boba’s Throne Room leaks prove they’re still a thing If previous years are any indication, we should see the Thestral foal among the first batch of leaks. I think a modified minifig is the likeliest option, followed by an Gollum-like single mould. Brick-built can 100% be ruled out, he’s way too small for that Not including him would be supremely silly. It‘s the Shrieking Shack, so they can‘t avoid including its namesake -

There’s an additional reason a remake of the microscale Hogwarts wouldn’t make any sense: This is the HP designer team we’re talking about The same team that consciously avoided any unnecessary remakes 5 years in. And even in the rare cases something is remade, there are still a lot of new and worthwhile elements to it. So a pointless remake like that would be extremely out of character -

I’m still not entirely convinced the entire slate of upcoming Superheroes sets is for Marvel Sure, Promobricks lists them as such, but didn’t they do so from the very start? Stonewars have a separate generic Superheroes category for the currently unknown sets, which I’m pretty sure Promobricks never had -

Except those can work on their own They’re different buildings within the same street, whereas Hogwarts is one structure. Moreover, a lot of the DA shops are iconic on their own, whereas Hogwarts has only one truly iconic part (that being the Great Hall + Grand staircase)
