Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
This really bothered me back then. Harry in the Battle of Hogwarts set looking the exact same as in the Dobby’s release set, uniform and all, was just plain silly Using regular legs for the kids was also an odd decision, considering short legs were already used for a kid character (Boba) the very year they were introduced. The 2010/11 assortment was good for what it was, but the 2018-now stuff blows it out of the water in every regard IMO. Katana Aragog was laughable, the DA D2C almost looks like a regular set by today‘s standards, the unprinted Goblin heads were wayyyy outdated even then, the Burrow is pretty inaccurate overall, Flitwick’s moustache looks goofy, the 4L bars really don’t work as wands, and the lack of mould budget was very apparent The range still has a place in my heart though! Btw, too bad Guyon seems to have left the forum for good. I really would‘ve loved to hear his take on the new sets -

Yeah, they tend to be among the last sets to be revealed. Baby Groot and the Iron Man 2 set are the only regular ones scheduled for June, right? The Sanctum and Hulkbuster are both D2C sets it seems And then there are the unknown sets scheduled for September! I hope we learn soon what those are -

Exactly! I think this wave makes a third CMF series completely superfluous The remaining characters can easily be featured in regular sets. -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
BrickBob Studpants replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have an unpopular opinion: TLG should only cater to me personally and not to anyone else! …I lied. That seems to be the most popular opinion in this thread -

That leaked Voldy head really confuses me Way too early for the D2C or AC, so where could it be from? Pieces from accessory packs never leak, do they? -

“We might sneak in [stuff from the later movies] here and there”, Marcos said, staring at the MoM model on his desk, with a demonic grin on his face The only nitpicky thing I dislike about these sets is Yaxley’s faceprint. It’s a very good choice in a vacuum, but why did it have to be the same one they used for Fudge? Reusing faces between themes is ok, but within themes they shouldn’t do that -

I can‘t stop drooling over these pictures And did you notice there weren‘t any instruction updates beforehand? Our tried and tested leaking methods are all failing us -

I wonder why Harry and Hermione have new faceprints in the Buckbeak set, but not in the Shrieking Shack And is that screaming Harry supposed to be the often ridiculed expression he makes at the very end of PoA? If so, well played. Whoever came up with that deserves a raise. Scratch that, everyone who worked on these should get one -

Holy effin shit!! These are all bloody amazing!! Yaxley with an accurate hairpiece, Thicknesse, the locket, the polyjuiced trio, Cattermole‘s wive? Sirius x3?? Tonks & Kreacher?! Am I dreaming?!?! Pince?!!! And just look at all those details! That‘s it, 2022 is my favourite LEGO year ever, even without Gringotts! I‘m so happy -

I forgot there are actually two 40xxx sets! So maybe there‘s still an accessory pack in the cards Could also be another Brickheadz set though. After all, we did get two multi-packs last year -

You don’t need Batman-level skills to figure this one out One of the most boneheaded fake leaks I‘ve seen in a long time. Remember, kids: Check if the set numbers already exist on proper set lists Polybags obviously don‘t have regular set numbers -

That‘s the issue I have with the costume designs in all three of the FB films. They do look good, but they rely a bit too much on the late 20‘s/early 30‘s aesthetics. It‘s appropriate for blending in, I mean the HP characters also wear regular street cloths a lot, but for Dumbledore especially I expected something a bit more unique. Of course not the robes he‘s wearing in the HP films, just something more out of the ordinary. A grey three-piece suit just doesn‘t scream „Dumbledore“ to me And as a result, it would make for a pretty unspectacular minifig -

Just seen the movie, liked it a lot! A definite improvement over CoG Not much potential set-wise, though. Even if there were some, no idea what they could realistically be -

Interesting. The number seems to suggest a boxed set. Maybe the nanoscale dioramas are still a thing after all I’ll believe it includes a minifig when I see it -

The stand-in for Mrs Norris is just a regular ginger cat. I think we can expect a recolour, but a new mould for her is pretty unlikely considerig that prelims usually feature grey prototype parts -

Either that or Kanan‘s ponytail, even though neither fits perfectly Still better than Draco‘s excruciatingly overused hairpiece -

Well guess what hairpiece they‘re using in the prelim Granted, we cannot expect a new mould for that, which would be required if the goal was to be as accurate as possible, but I‘m still hopeful it‘s a recoloured version of one of the existing ponytail hairpieces Or maybe they didn‘t realise it even was a ponytail to begin with -

@Accio Lego is right. If the factory leaks don‘t start soon, we might as well see the official reveals first Whoever the new leak specialist at TLG is, they‘re doing an amazing job it seems! If minifigs do end up leaking, I hope to see the MoM minifigs first. I want to know which hairpiece they‘re using for Yaxley (please not just Draco‘s hairpiece!) and whether the two mystery minifigs are actually Cattermole and Runcorn -

I'm with @KevinMD, can we please finally stop giving chuckleheads like that any further attention? He's had his five minutes of Internet fame, back with him to the slimey troll dungeon he crawled out of I don't think they'll be canonised any time soon, but they don't have to be in my opinion. They're a neat novelty, like the Sandspeeder a few years ago, which also hasn't been made canon in the meantime And canon or not, new clones are always welcome. Definitely prefer purple clones over the 212th people are clamouring for -
