Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Codyleaks again?! Yeah, it's complete BS then Come on people, always check your sources first! IG's again being flooded with buffoons like that one. Don't trust anyone unless they're reputable leakers, and be careful even then (*cough* Fulcrum *cough*) -

Who exactly is the source of this rumour? Not buying it unless it's someone reputable -

It couldn’t be more minimal even if they tried Calling it a “room” is a bit too generous I think It’s a neat-looking set overall, but way overpriced for what it is -

Yaxley only appeared in DH though, and Umbridge, the Dementors, plus the two mystery figures (which could well be Cattermole & Runcorn) wouldn’t make any sense if this were an OotP set The only element that doesn’t fit DH is the fountain, which can either be explained away as an OotP reference they wanted to include, as a prelim placeholder, or as way to include the fountain without featuring the “Magic is Might” mural. After all, it has pretty heavy supremacist iconography, something TLG surely wouldn’t want to feature in a set, even if it’s entirely fictional -

So far, only two are actually confirmed (40558 & 75333). 75337 could go in multiple directions. Which is the fourth one? The D2C set?…yeah, not gonna happen B2T: Those two final dinos look absolutely fantastic! So many new moulds! I guess this is payback for 2018 -

Parts leaking unusually early is not unheard of. Just a few examples: Trudgen’s head from The Rise of Skywalker leaked alongside some other Knights of Ren minifig parts, even though he was included in a Jan 2020 set rather than one released in Oct 2019 Same goes for the worm guy from Trolls, whose head also leaked 6 months before release Korg’s headpiece was another early leak. It leaked in February while the set was released in August Moreover, this is a prototype leak, not a finished piece -

More pics are up! That 1x1 tile with the R2 print is so adorable Call me crazy, but the set is worth it to me just for that alone -

Did I? As I’ve said, it was a Xanatos Gambit, so either outcome would have been desirable to me I’m just a bit perplexed that both promobricks and stonewars managed to miss that play feature Maybe they just haven’t seen DH part 1 in a while -

It’s mismatched. My guess is that they wanted to include the CMF hairpiece because it’s iconic to the character, but still decided to give us a new outfit, hence this version I appreciate it -

I can’t say how I know this, but there’s a play feature in the set that outright confirms it as a DH set -

Since minifig leak season could start any day now, which ones do you want to see the most? My picks are Yaxley, the mystery MoM minifigs, and all the minifigs from Dumbledore‘s office (since we still have no clue what film that set is based on) And of course the cast of the Shrieking Shack and the unknown set -

You mean for Star Wars or other themes? Not very likely in either case The June sets for most themes get revealed at the end of April and the remaining SW sets are scheduled for August, so we won’t see them for quite a while -

Why would they do that though? That would not only cannibalise sales of the current modular system, it would also majorly annoy people that collected the pre-2021 castle expansions The microscale castle is self-contained exactly because it’s at an incompatible scale. Do you seriously want a FOURTH version of the Great Hall within 5 years? -

I‘m more wondering when the first minifig/creature leaks will drop It started on March 6th in 2019, the 18th in 2020, and the 13th in 2021, so we’re “officially” late Granted, the leaks may not be as plentiful as they used to be, but I’m still hopeful we get to see something at least -

Except for the knotted band that’s moulded into the hat I don‘t think it‘s unreasonable to expect the whole crew of a ship to be included in a $160 set, considering said crew consists of only one guy and his droid companion -

None of them have a flat brim though. The closest match is Butch Cavendish’s hat, but that one has the hair moulded into it It’s distinct enough to warrant a new piece IMO The question is more, why wouldn’t they include him? Unlike the previous three sets that featured Bane, they have no excuse to omit him this time -

As @Slytherin Alumni points out, the set has “playset” in its codename Sure, that could be wrong (Antman mech anyone?), but we’ll know once we hear about its piece count. That’s what gave it away last year -

At the very least, Todo 360 and Bane’s new hat have to included Sure, they could go the cheap route and either omit Todo or include a brick-built version, but still
