DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

I think the theme not getting mercy-killed is enough of an anniversary gift -

I could see them include her in the set, given it‘s her father’s house, but story-wise that makes little sense Also, this is a really neat idea for an anniversary bonus! They‘ve already done golden minifigs in 2021 and special fan-requested minifigs à la Star Wars would have made little sense, given the extremely short list of missing characters. The only other route they could‘ve taken was reprints of the OG minifigs, but I‘m glad they‘re going with something more creative here! -

Granted, we got three new animal pieces before thanks to previous patronusses/patroni, but I‘m not sure if any of the upcoming ones will require new pieces. Out of reusable moulds, we have a stag, an otter, a dog (likely a different breed since the terrier mould seems to be retired), a fox, a wolf, a goat, a cat, a hare, and a horse, which would already be plenty of options throughout the year! I‘d say the most likely new ones are a phoenix for Dumbledore, a swan for Cho Chang, or a doe for Snape. -

According to a Brick Tap member, next year‘s sets will come with collectable patronusses/patroni(?)! The Hospital wing comes with Lupin‘s wolf and the potion classroom with Hermione‘s otter ^^ I wonder if they‘ll be any different from the ones we‘ve gotten before! -

I thought those were in addition to the four March sets, but I might be wrong about that Admittedly, 8 sets in a year seems excessive by DC standards, but it can’t be ruled out either since 3 of the 4 March sets are smaller than usual -

I’ll rank the ideas I’ve seen so far from my least favourite to my favourite options Remake of the Byer‘s house: please no. The 2019 set is one of my favourite sets ever released and I‘d rather have something different with new characters! Hawkins Lab: I feel they‘d be hesitant to depict a location where a bunch of kids got massacred S5 location: Could be cool, but we don‘t know enough yet to really judge anything. Starcourt Mall: awesome location, a cool monster, and all the main characters are all present, so lots of options! The issues are said monster (since the mind flayer’s avatar consists of dead humans and rats) and the lack of Upside Down iconography in the location itself. I think they‘d want to depict the Upside Down in a follow-up set ^^ Creel House: Definitely my personal favourite idea, as I said before! Awesome spooky location and lots of minifig potential! The downside is that a lot of the cast would be absent. -

The only thing I wouldn‘t like is a remake of the Byers‘ house, everything else would be great! Vecna‘s lair would be my choice Also, 2026 is shaping up to be another great year! Mando & Grogu, Minas Tirith, more One Piece sets, Pokémon, Ganon(dorf), and another ST set? Count me in!! -

I think there are good reasons why EB (and forums in general) have prevailed I see traffic being lower compared to social media as a good thing since you actually get to know individual users ^^ We know each other’s stances on subthemes, sets, and trends and even have in-jokes! It feels so much more personal than social media. And we can have actual discussions rather than flamewars and other such nonsense -

While EB did lose some traffic to social media platforms (like all forums pretty much), it doesn‘t feel all that different to me. My perception may be a bit skewed though since I‘m way more active now than I was back in the day -

A Bricktap member said another large set is coming! About time!! I wonder what it could be since seasons 3 and 4 (and presumably 5) are much gorier than the first two -

Kinda crazy I‘m one of the few left from the early days It‘s even longer if you count lurking since I only joined 2 years or so after first discovering EB! If someone tries to hang it, that‘s on them Once you build it, it becomes very obvious it cannot be displayed like that. There is no Technic frame or skeleton and it‘s instead built in separate sections you stack on top of one another The transport was an immediate success! But the UCS Gunship‘s stand and bottom broke so that took a while to fix. Eurghhhh -

Who‘s left though? Grubbly-Plank? Burbage? The Carrows? One of the unnamed extras in the Great Hall opening ceremony scenes? We‘re kinda running out of options here -

Just finished the Death Star and boy howdy is it massive!! Measuring out the dimensions to figure out display options and then actually seeing the thing weeks later really aren‘t the same Now I need to figure out how to get it to its designated spot It‘s a sturdy set, but I kinda dread the transport… -

There‘s a black kitten hidden in the Batman logo set that was revealed yesterday! I doubt they recoloured it specifically for that set, so a printed version should show up in an upcoming set ^^- 5,866 replies

Pics are out! All 3 Batmobiles are well-realised, the greebling on the logo is a neat touch with the rogue gallery‘s accessories hidden throughout, and the golden Man is pretty cool ^^ Still sucks we‘re getting nothing but MAN -

In general, I‘d agree. But from what I understand, all the smart brick is, is a more sophisticated light & sound brick with a scanner à la Mario. The app is probably mostly used to update the bricks, and I doubt it incorporates any AI (unless you call a rule-based procedure AI) A brick that can be placed inside different vehicles and change sound effects accordingly sounds like a pretty fun concept to me, basically like an adaptive and more versatile version of already existing toys Of course you can argue that kids don’t need that and it’s better for them to make or imagine the sounds in their heads instead, but that‘s a deeper discussion ^^ -

I don’t wanna give any sort of financial advice (and you do you, no judging), but if someone can afford to spend this much just on the minifigs, shouldn’t they also be able to afford the entire set? You could buy the set, sell all the parts except for the minifigs, and probably still spend less overall -

Yeah, it’s kinda funny we have minifig lists for some March stuff for other themes and one January set is already available for pre-order (Kachow!), yet we still have no clue what these sets entail exactly Definitely looking forward to the motorbike and Lovegood house sets the most. Some of you may remember how peeved I was when it became clear there were no DH sets in 2021. 5 years later, and they did everything I wanted from those two movies anyway Well, assuming the motorbike set is based on DH, that is! It has “escape” in its name, after all. -

To be honest though, I prefer having three unique Batmen over the three almost identical Batmen and Jonklers we got in 2023
