Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, one of the two films this set is based on has Spidey and Iron Man in it, the other one doesn’t. Easy choice from that perspective -

Nature is healing At least one of which has to be DC I can‘t imagine them releasing nothing but a $10 4+ and calling it a day -

I’m glad the Sanctum hasn’t been leaked yet! Otherwise they wouldn’t have much left to reveal at LEGO-Con, besides the Mario blindbags that is (or unannounced surprises) …and I’ve just jinxed it, haven’t I -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

While I’m usually on team #mouldedAnimals because brick-built creatures often look robotic (not helped by the grey joints), hybrids can be a decent compromise. The new leonopteryx for instance looks great -

That Cody minifig is a thing of beauty Now all of the Constraction figures finally have a minifig counterpart And 2022 allows us to scratch quite a few big names off the missing-minifig list! That reminds me! Like last year, this year‘s waves are again very imbalanced content-wise: An OT-heavy winter wave with barely anything new and next to no new moulds, followed by a mixed spring wave, and then an extravagant summer wave filled with new, highly desirable minifigs and new moulds/recolours as far as the eye can see I wish there was a bit more of a balance there. For instance, they could‘ve released the Jedi Starfighter in January to spice things up with that excellent Taun We minifig I hope we have a bit more of a balance between OT and non-OT stuff next January! Otherwise, we know which wave to look forward to -

I went from „meh, Avatar“ to „yeah, Avatar!!!“ just because of these pictures It‘s the magic of LEGO! Not the first time LEGO sets have drastically increased my interest in a franchise -

You‘re missing the 4+ AT-ST. Maybe the one you think is the AT-TE is actually the AT-ST and the one in the middle is the AT-TE? I mean we surely would‘ve heard about another set in this wave by now if one was coming -

Didn‘t he also say the Harry Potter D2C set would be Gringotts? Granted, some of the stuff he claimed turned out to be true, but it could either have been lucky guesses or he had a source with semi-accurate intel. Either way, not trusting anything he said -

Virtually impossible. As the Razor Crest proves, they are able to fast-track certain things like the Grogu minifig, but a $500 model that takes years to develop is definitely not among them -

…you do realise it has a normal set number, right? Why would there be rumours for a multi-pack? And who on Earth would buy a $500 multi-pack?! -

Those three are bloody amazing Cad Bane is so much more detailed than the previous two versions and the new breathing apparatus is an excellent piece TODO looks adorable in that size and Omega is pretty much perfect. Nice to see the designers keeping up the tradition of using recoloured Harry Potter hairpieces for kid characters in SW! (Even though it’s technically only the third time it happened and the second one probably doesn’t count, so calling it a tradition might be a bit of an overstatement) -

This torso really is a mystery. It leaking alongside the other AC torso heavily implies it‘s from that set, but Sirius never wears anything even close to that. Perhaps the remaining AC minifig isn’t Sirius to begin with, but I couldn‘t find any other HP character that wears that outfit either Stranger Things is a good guess, but none of the characters seem to have that particular stripey shirt in any of the seasons -

To me, there is little to complain about in terms of face and torso prints. Even Zia’s faceprint makes some sense, as she doesn’t have her glasses from FK any more (still should’ve picked another one instead of that overused Tina faceprint) However, what bothers me are the hairpieces. Using the same hairpiece for 4 different characters is just silly. Granted, we finally got it in tan for the very first time, but still And Kayla’s was a pretty bad choice. Spending the budget on new dino parts rather than a new hairpiece mould was definitely the way to go, but at least they could’ve used a dark brown version of the same piece instead, with additional nougat printing similar to Vi Moradi‘s blue printing -

Agreed! It makes the 2019 one look like a turkey My only issue with it is the same I’ve had with the Jurassic Park diorama: Please, TLG, for the love of Ole, don’t use stickers for eyes. Thanks. -

What I was getting at is that you can’t expect new characters or significant variants to be featured in a 4+ set, let alone at that price point We did get exclusive minifigs in 4+ sets before, but those tend to be the bigger ones. Either way, hoping we hear about the rest of the list soon! -

Tell me you don’t know how licensing works without telling me you don’t know how licensing works I get that people are disappointed, but they might be expecting a bit much out of a 10$ 4+ set At least this is a pretty clear indication that we can expect more of the unknown sets to be based on DC! -
