Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Word is early May still But who knows. And where’s that promised update video? -

Really? The set is toast then Eh, no big loss overall. It’s not like we’re missing out on amazing new minifigs. Hope this means they include the Burtonmobile in the Batcave instead -

Just as a heads-up: the release date in some places might be August rather than June. A webshop I sometimes order from will not be able to deliver them before August. Not sure if it’s just them, or if the sets are temporary exclusives even, like the Indy wave! -

Couldn’t agree more. If there’s a BP with you know who in January 2024, that would automatically make it the best January wave since 2020 IMO We need some interesting January waves again! The last three have been absolute snoozefests -

They just reference the movies to provide context, that's it. This is not a hint towards future sets. -

Aren’t we all? This will take a bit longer than usual, if rumours are to be believed. At least we have that promised Promobricks video to tide us over -

I think those sets were planned for 2024 (or beyond?) from the get-go. So far, not a single one of the sets shown in the survey leak has been confirmed to appear this year, so why should the four Disney ones be any different? Also, the piece counts don‘t match, not even when squinting. -

Too bad TLG discontinued trans-neon-orange as that would have been perfect for Baylan and Shin‘s lightsabers. I’m aware 4L bars exist in that colour, but they‘re quite rare and I‘m a purist at heart, so nah. Instead, they‘ll probably introduce 4L bars in trans-orange, which is also quite nice. Unless they‘re lazy and just include regular old trans-red ones -

Eh. Out of the last few licensed CMF series, I wouldn‘t have sacrificed any of them for a third HP series. Maybe in place of S23 last autumn I still don‘t think the list of missing characters warrants a new series. HP is one of the themes where we get CMF-level minifigs in regular sets anyway. Just look at Kreacher, Pince, Pomfrey, 2022 Moody, etc. -

Depends on whether there are any minifigs that would require a new piece or at least benefit from one Lee could use one, should he be included in the Quidditch Trunk. Or maybe Scabior, as none of the existing hairpieces work perfectly for him. Or maybe finally an accurate Elder Wand for Voldy! Or maybe they wasted 90% of the budget for the June wave on new trans-light blue parts for the patronus set -

Now that I think about it, Fang and Pygmy Puffs are maybe more likely to appear than expected! So far, they’ve introduced at least one new creature every year: 2018: rat, snake, and thestral 2019: hippogriff, stag patronus, and winged horse 2020: new owl, phoenix, otter and hare patroni 2021: basilisk and pixies 2022: baby thestral 2023: grindylow With Fang and Pygmy Puffs, we would have three, which happened multiple times before! -

I still wouldn‘t like the fact we‘re getting remakes this soon (especially of WWW, the HE is more tolerable), but Fang and Pygmy Puffs would at least somewhat help justify their existence a bit Not counting on them, but given the design team‘s excellent track record, it‘s certainly possible! -

The current rumours suggest it‘s a remake. Not my first choice, but oh well -

Even considering that other companies also primarily focus on the first three movies, this is still a rather weak effort in terms of scope. They easily could have released 6 sets or more, especially since this is most likely the last wave of IJ sets we‘re ever gonna get. IJ just deserved better -

40613: Agrabah Palace (mini) 43222: Disney Castle 43225: Little Mermaid 43226: $45 43227: $130 43230: $120 43232: $60, 18+ One of these is rumoured to be Lumière and Cogsworth, the rest are unknown. As 43225 shows, some of the others might also include minifigs The only thing that‘s for certain is that the four sets from the catalogue leak aren‘t coming this year. -

Honestly, it's not so bad when you also consider the March wave. Had we gotten the Quidditch Trunk in March and the Lake Task and RoR sets in June instead, there would certainly be fewer complaints now -

A new part for baby Norbert would definitely be welcome. Wrong scale, sure, but it could also represent the starter Pokémon tiny dragons from GoF, as we never saw the real dragons apart from the Hungarian Horntail Fingers crossed for a PS Hagrid‘s Hut in 2024! Probably the only remake of anything post 2018 that I would actually want. Apart from that excellent D2C Burrow from the survey leak, that is. -

Indeed! So far, TLG have been very good at giving us all the new Stormie variants, and this is our first major omission so far, apart from Purge Troopers, Incinerator Troopers, and Juggernaut Pilots. Oh, and of course the latest variant Hope they‘ll fill some of these gaps next year! Who knows, Ahsoka might introduce another variant, so hurry up -

The Ninjago baby dragon that just leaked reminds me of the glorious leaks in 2019 and 2020 (and to a lesser extent, 2021). Too bad they managed to reduce them to this degree since then, as I would really like to see the BoH minifigs asap Granted, it could still happen, but we‘re getting pretty close to the official reveal anyway. -

Hah, I knew Fang was there in one scene!! Even though it's from my least favourite of the films I'm not giving him high chances of actually making it into the set, but he would definitely be an awesome inclusion. -

There are no patterns. They just reveal them whenever they feel like it, it seems I'll trust the rumoured early May reveal and instead look forward to the rumour/update video from Promobricks, whenever that's coming. -

Sure, but I‘m wondering what type of set it could be. A battlepack could cover , but not sure where would fit in. There was no appropriate vehicle they haven’t done already in the last episode and I can‘t really picture a location build Maybe the final episode involves some good set material
