Just got notified that I‘ll receive some of the sets tomorrow (BoH, Dobby, EP, and QT to be precise)

I get the criticism, but it‘s still a decent wave overall. The BoH comes with great minifigs, new wands, magic effect pieces, and a useful castle extension. The HE gives us Lee, new faceprints for Harry and Hermione, and chocolate frog card as well as galleon 1x1 prints. Then we have a ton of Weasley products in the WWW set, plus Romilda Vane. The Quidditch trunk comes with a variety of faceprints and those hoods are a cool addition too. The buildable figures are on par with the ones we had before IMO Sure, the wave could‘ve been better (e.g., by adding a $20 set, replacing one of the buildable figures with a playset, and/or replacing one or both remakes with new stuff), but it still includes a lot of worthwhile additions to our collections

Long have I waited... Couldn't agree more, Exegol would make for a great playset, especially the Senate's cool-looking throne that even gives the Iron Throne a run for its money Can't believe they still refuse to make a set based on that. Also, taking a closer look at the Yavin set, I take back anything bad I said about it. Except for the "stupid tree" comment

I like the sound of that! Getting a Walt minifig is definitely cool, not sure however about the camera as a concept. A drawing board would have made more sense IMO, but it seems they were inspired by that famous picture

They don’t tease D2C sets in these catalogues though. And if they did, they’d do it in the 18+ section Also, a red logo doesn’t necessarily mean AoU sets, it’s just pretty likely

Well, better than hoping for news in vain In the Marvel section, the catalogue just says “coming soon”, next to a red Avengers logo. Maybe another AoU set?

I guess the regular Marvel/DC novelties just aren’t shown in this catalogue. Cap’s shield was featured in the 18+ section, after all

Oof. The reviews are indeed pretty harsh, for some reason. Maybe TLG really did dodge a bullet by not producing any sets for this film

It’s a decent set and a cheaper way to get Eggman is more than welcome, but where’s Knuckles? 4 characters across 5 sets is pretty stingy.

Huh. I didn’t realise until now that we’ve never had Red Leader as a minifig before I have to admit, the Yavin set is a lot better than I initially gave it credit for. Still wish it was a RO/ANH hybrid set, but this works regardless. Apart from that stupid tree, that is

Oh, forgot there was a fifth colour! My highlights are the crystal knight, the recoloured animals (cat, frog, axolotl, sheep), the fact we’re FINALLY getting another witch, and that super adorable bucket-o-axolotl Love the giant Iron Golem build, and the alternative cat build for the Crafting Box is neat Another very good wave!

The Axolotl House includes the last missing axolotl color!

The minifigs in the Yavin set aren’t mindblowing, but nice nonetheless (especially the helmets on Gold and Red leaders plus the recoloured CMF medals). The set itself doesn’t look bad, but it’s a tad too simple IMO for a set of that price. The BP is decent too, but the Yoda Starfighter is an even more pointless remake than I thought All in all, pretty weak wave. Good thing there’s the Ahsoka wave (plus Gunship) in September!

Sounds fake. There’s no set number unaccounted for and I doubt that one would appear out of nowhere. While there have been weird leaks from new sources this year and we all had to eat humble pie on multiple occasions, I still don’t believe just any random stuff

Agreed, I really appreciate all the features, especially the guns on the Batmobile, the opening cabinets, and the Batcomputer! I suppose the two motives (Catwoman / Penguin) are stickers on a round 8x8 tile

Not sure what the point of unmasked ones is They could easily have dual-sided heads like 2010 Lucius, which would make them a lot more versatile I’m wondering if there is a reason why we still haven’t seen any, but I can’t think of anything. I mean, they gave us the KKK-style version from GoF for crying out loud, so there’s no excuse to keep ignoring the OotP ones!

Haha, good one Or how about a set called “Stupor!” with a buildable Death Eater dummy with a minifig on a stand Or a Death Eater head akin to the Marvel and Star Wars “helmets” Seriously though, it shouldn’t be that hard to insert one somewhere. They could even feature one in the Gringotts set and nobody would bat an eye

I was hoping for actual coins to return, but that ship has probably sailed. 1x1 tiles it is, then Those are a good replacement at least, even though they’re pearl gold Also, they can be used to represent stacks of Galleons! Just place one of them on top of a stack of 1x1 pearl gold studs et voilà. I can see them doing that for either Gringotts and/or the vault GWP.

It’s indeed weird, as these are the main mooks. Imagine having no stormtroopers, orcs, goombas, MC zombies, or supervillain henchmen The prior two iterations of the theme also had a weird way to handle Death Eaters. In 2007, we got one that also doubled as the dummy in the RoR, and in 2010/11, all we had was Lucius’ alternate faceprint I still hope we get at least one in the current run at some point. Too bad those accessory packs apparently aren’t a thing anymore, as that would have been a good way to amass them

The sets are now all on s@h The HE is a bit more expensive than I thought, but it makes sense considering that the station and a second carriage are included.

So much for the set being cancelled last minute Am I the only one here who likes this thing? Yeah, it’s expensive, but I do appreciate the way it looks (especially opened up) and there seem to be quite a few functions. Hope the reveal is around the corner!
