  1. Love the NWH and Endgame sets! The head of the Statue of Liberty looks surprisingly similar to the Apocalypseburg one, down to the sausage eyebrows And that new curved bar piece is gonna make for some interesting MOCs, I can already tell
  2. …three sets that all come with Batman and The Joker. Huh. At least the models look good!
  3. It‘s his famous Bat-claw-arrow-holder-thing from an infamous deleted scene Seriously though, no idea. Maybe a weird take on the grappling gun?
  4. Wasp, Okoye, Scarlet Witch, and Shuri are very likely the same from previous sets. An Endgame version of Valkyrie technically also exists already, but a new torso print at least is in the realm of possibility. Thanos is rumoured to have a new print, but it’s unclear whether that means a new torso and/or face print. Thus, Captain Marvel is definitely the character with the most potential here. Maybe she comes with a recoloured version of her helmet?
  5. I quite like the new faceprint. …for a generic Joker, that is. It doesn‘t work for the Nicholson Joker, especially when compared to the previous two versions. Did they lose the rights to his likeness or something? I was hoping for artist Joker to be featured in the Batwing, but not anymore if he looks THIS different
  6. Which aren‘t available anymore, so how exactly would they benefit from that?
  7. Agreed. MJ and Strange have been in multiple sets before, and it‘s not like there‘d be anything exclusive about them. Ned would be a nice inclusion though, as that FFH minifig accessory pack is pretty hard to get nowadays As long as we get the three Spideys and the promised baddies (preferably with new faceprints for all of them), I‘m very pleased. Oh, and please give Doc Ock the Harry Potter hairpiece in dark brown instead of the bowl cut hairpiece that almost every previous Doc Ock minifig had, whether it even remotely fit or not
  8. So we‘re back at 9 minifigs for the NWH set, huh? Hope it‘s not a mere misunderstanding. And the Endgame set doesn‘t sound all that exciting, except for some new prints and/or hairpieces. Wonder what the build is going to be. Fingers crossed it’s more than just another Avengers HQ, but the options are pretty limited. A leviathan would be cool tho!
  9. ...can we stop giving attention to these wannabe leakers?
  10. *monkey paw intensifies* If the remaining sets are subpar, I'll blame you
  11. That‘s why all rumours should be taken with a grain of salt, especially from unverified sources While I also would‘ve preferred a different clone unit, it‘s still a decent set.
  12. The four sets I had preordered were all very enjoyable to put together Surprisingly, Expecto Patronum provided the most fun building experience Also, it‘s interesting to note that the magic effect pieces from the BoH set are „normal“ translucent plastic, rather than the softer, more opaque type of plastic used for the superhero blast pieces. They look awesome in person
  13. @Lego_Minecraft_Goat‘s IG story
  14. Bigfigs returning sounds good, but do we really need a third set based on the finalbattle in Endgame, and also the third one to feature Thanos at that? But we shall see. Bigfigs not being dead is the main takeaway
  15. It includes all three Spider-men and three iconic villains, so that makes it a great set by default, especially in comparison to the other Marvel output this year Sure, there might be some reprints (like Electro‘s face), but most of them should be new. I’m not really concerned about the build itself as the minifigs are the stars here
  16. @Legocentrico: Agreed. Gunn‘s reboot should finally bring back the DC theme properly. The question is more what they‘ll be doing next year
  17. Even if this person is telling the truth, a set not being visible in a single retailer‘s system doesn‘t mean much. Maybe they just haven‘t added it yet, that specific retailer will carry it later, or it‘s exclusive to another retailer TLG cancelling the only truly great Marvel set this year would be par for the course though
  18. Could be a multitude of reasons. Marketing strategies, licenser demands, etc. Also, there are quite a few regional differences between these catalogues. For instance, the Italian one in Jan 22 was the only one to feature the cancelled OW2 set
  19. Of course The only reason we haven‘t seen pictures yet is because the Marvel and DC sets scheduled for August weren‘t featured in the catalogue. We don‘t even know what most of them are
  20. Sure, but when was the last time we got an exclusive minifig in a polybag? Those days seem to be pretty much over Instead, I expect Merida to either show up in the Disney Castle or one of the other unknown sets. Of course there‘s also the possibility that she doesn‘t appear in minifig form in any sets at all this year, but that seems unlikely considering that she‘d be the only humanoid character with a 100th anniversary BrickHead not to get the minifig treatment.
  21. If they‘re gonna do a third CMF series, it‘s gonna be in 2025 at the earliest, and likely based on the MCU shows again Our best chance to get minifigs of more obscure characters like Squirrel Girl is for them to show up in the MCU. Far from a guarantee of course, but still more likely than a random comic-inspired set
  22. Just got notified that I‘ll receive some of the sets tomorrow (BoH, Dobby, EP, and QT to be precise)
  23. I get the criticism, but it‘s still a decent wave overall. The BoH comes with great minifigs, new wands, magic effect pieces, and a useful castle extension. The HE gives us Lee, new faceprints for Harry and Hermione, and chocolate frog card as well as galleon 1x1 prints. Then we have a ton of Weasley products in the WWW set, plus Romilda Vane. The Quidditch trunk comes with a variety of faceprints and those hoods are a cool addition too. The buildable figures are on par with the ones we had before IMO Sure, the wave could‘ve been better (e.g., by adding a $20 set, replacing one of the buildable figures with a playset, and/or replacing one or both remakes with new stuff), but it still includes a lot of worthwhile additions to our collections
  24. Long have I waited... Couldn't agree more, Exegol would make for a great playset, especially the Senate's cool-looking throne that even gives the Iron Throne a run for its money Can't believe they still refuse to make a set based on that. Also, taking a closer look at the Yavin set, I take back anything bad I said about it. Except for the "stupid tree" comment
