We're about to get a $650 Pokémon set, so this isn't outrageous for a gaming IP Besides, we had other video game one-offs with a higher price tag, like the Atari 2600 or the Pac-Man arcade machine. I'm more curious what IP it could be! Hopefully another Nintendo one!

If Stonewars' list is correct, this theme will be based on a video game IP with a release date of October, so this one at least is unrelated to the CMF series. Your general point still stands though (apart form the weird "potential 2027 movie" thing that still perplexes me).

Been doing some digging, and 72306 (theme 'P') has flown under the radar since Stonewars had it listed as a set for a while now! The only details they provide is that it belongs to "Games" and is released in October. Could be an assumption on their end based on the number range, but we'll see. If it 's indeed based on a game, it has to be a new theme!

The tuxedo cat gets a companion in the form of 21376 Orange Cat! It's not a mere colour swap since it has a few more pieces! Kinda strange to see a follow-up to an Ideas set that is still part of the Ideas theme seemingly, unlike the FRIENDS apartments.

'B' is scheduled for June, 'Lollipop' for August, and 'P' is still unknown. They're all licensed. They wouldn't introduce a new in-house theme with so few sets, now would they

If we got a Monsters Inc set beyond the BrickHeadz, it would be part of the Disney theme with its 43xxx set numbers, not 72xxx. TMNT is another distinct possibility, but for obvious reasons I’d prefer Spob to return

Some news form Brick Tap / @TandNbricks: Theme codenamed "P": 72306, $159.99 Theme codenamed "B" (the one we've known about since August) 72421, 12+ 72422, 12+ 72423, 18+, $119.99 Codename "Lollipop" 72537 $69.99 It's a mix of new and returning IPs! One of them has to be K-Pop Demon Hunters for sure. I'm probably getting ahead of myself again, but the returning IP has to be SpongeBob, right?? Not many other options, and combined with the competitor's license having ended... Watch it be Power Puff Girls or another smaller theme and crush my dreams

I appreciate the optimism, but based on what exactly? They‘ve consistently introduced or or two new characters each year, and we already just had Silver. I‘d say there‘s probably only one additional new character (or major variant) coming this summer ^^ Certainly not this year. The 3rd series this year is based on an upcoming movie of a franchise we‘ve never had sets before

About time we hear about the 2HY stuff! According to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, 77119 releases in summer for $29.99.

Finally some news! 77059 releases for $59.99, according to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat. He thinks this is unlikely to be a smart brick set.

@Roebuck It‘s the least likely out of all the suggestions I‘ve heard because MOTU is owned by Mattel. There‘s no reason for them to give their competitor a license when they have two construction toy brands at their disposal (Mega & Brick Shop). TLG collaborate with Hasbro now, sure, but that friendship was forged out of the ashes of Kre-o‘s demise My money‘s still on Shrek, even though it‘d be kinda weird to have a CMF series this year and potential sets next year, even if the former is based on the first 4 movies and the latter on the 5th one. Shrek feels like a franchise that is best served with playsets anyway But yeah, a better candidate still hasn‘t emerged so far.

Agreed! Sets from the 2010s in general have aged better than some people give them credit for. They‘ve aged better than a lot of sets from the 2000s for sure I display all the LOTR sets together and the new sets blend in with the original ones very well ^^

Calling people stupid for buying sets you deem overpriced doesn‘t exactly comply with netiquette, you know. Also, speaking as a psychologist, IQ tests are overrated and almost always interpreted wrongly, but I digress Can‘t help but point it out every time I see IQs being used as an argument. Feel free to call sets overpriced, but please don‘t call people dumb for buying them.

We‘re still getting all the M&G sets (AT-AT, Anzellan Ship, Razor Crest, Sandcrawler, X-Wing, and maybe more) plus a handful of the sets from the 2027 list, so it‘s not like the SB sets outweigh everything else

With Doomsday coming out in December, I wouldn‘t be surprised if it was another MCU-themed one, but based on the Infinity Saga. September is too early for Doomsday tie-in sets Not sure if previous X-Men sets and the FF one last year sold well enough to have an AC dedicated to either team.

Hey, I want my M&G sets this year! Out of the affected list, the only one I‘d be really sad about is the Bounty Hunter Pursuit. Alas, we‘ve waited for so long, might as well wait another year

Technically, June counts as 2HY from TLG‘s perspective, so we‘ll still have a 2HY wave. Moreover, don’t forget that some of the sets on that list are still coming! Goat simply said „most“ of those sets are coming out in 2027, probably as in more than half, not the „vast majority“ or „almost all“. So with a list of 9 sets, it‘s still possible 4 of them get released this year ^^ That one is part of the other lists, which aren‘t affected

I really hope we‘ll learn soon which ones are still coming this year! The more out there stuff screams anniversary, but maybe we‘ll get lucky with the Delta-7B, the Ewok Village, and the Bounty Hunter Pursuit set at least. With our luck though, the buildable Yoda and the X-Wing Microfighter will be the only ones to make it this year

If I‘m wrong, that would mean there‘s a secret hidden list out there that somehow got swapped with a mostly 2027 list, despite the 2HY set lists for all other themes being out in the open already. Possible, but not very likely. This is already a massive year with 8 SB plus all the M&G sets

My guess: there is no wave beyond the June and July stuff because the SB sets do count towards the yearly total after all

Turns out the number of the AC (76340) was correct after all, but of course it’s a Marvel one ^^ The HP one has yet to be confirmed! Edit: Looks like there‘s no HP AC this year!
