  1. On the topic of just B&P, has anyone used the new VIP coupons toward their parts order?
  2. That's a sharp looking table. There was a beat up dining room table left in the basement of my mom's 'new' house some years back. She wanted it gone, so I salvaged most of it, and turned it into a 2'x5' table (w/ the leaf) that became my Lego building table.
  3. Too many new colors that add little value to the technic line, due to a lack of variety in pieces. Otherwise, it looks nice. BL Colors: Blue, Med. Blue, Dk. Blue, Med. Azure, Dk. Azure, Dk. Purple, Bright Green, Green, Lime and now Olive Green(?). If Lego chose just 3 of the above shades to use in their models, then we might have a nice selection in those colors.
  4. I can't answer your first question, though I'm surprised (Pun: a strange thing) these minifigs are still holding their value. BL was flooded with dis-proportionally cheap minifigs from the $800 UCS Falcon relatively early on. There's little incentive at the moment to part these figs out.
  5. Nice stuff. I got the wolf girl, new hair pieces, and geodes in the mail the other day. If I recall correctly, pumpkins weren't available, so you lucked out on those.
  6. FYI- this part isn't so rare anymore. It was just used in Star Wars and Porsche 911 sets. The piece is available on Lego B&P for $0.23 (USA).
  7. I just built the RTC this weekend with no issues. With the price of Lego Technic in Europe, I wouldn't be so sore about the occasional missing pieces. People are re-selling this new for ~$180 on BrickLink from Europe, whereas it costs $299 (MSRP) here. I don't even want to imagine what the Australians have to pay...
  8. I agree, especially if buying new parts. Once you factor in many orders and all the shipping costs, I would expect this to cost around $1000 if not more (assuming you don't have any parts). There's a point near the end of any project where pieces become difficult to find, leading to several tiny orders. BTW- Awesome model. This is the model I was hoping we would get from Lego.
  9. This is my favorite medium sized falcon since I built Flail's (?) over a decade ago. What a huge difference in Lego builds over that period: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=375458
  10. I've wanted a Fang in Lego ever since I got to use him in the video game. Unicorns and centaurs in the Forbidden Forest would be nice also. I'd buy an expansion for the UCS Hogwarts, if it tied in nicely.
  11. According to BrickLink they are #95343
  12. FYI: Mera's dark turquoise torso from set 76095 is available for $2.03
  13. Thanks for sharing! This is a must have model.
  14. I have the 10179 Falcon and wondered if the ucs TIE 75095 was built to a comparable scale. My falcon is on efferman's stand and pondered what a scene it might make with a TIE chasing it and maybe some other details. Thanks!
  15. I really like this version. The orange 42056 was disappointing after the black (w/ white swirl pattern) teaser Porsche pictures.
  16. I bought this set soon after released. At that time there was a bit of talk that it was a disappointment and ideas to improve it. Yet, I haven't seen a single attempt on doing so. What happened? Did people see this set as a failure and pass on it? P.S. It's so big that it doesn't even have a home (just on the floor of my office). I'm thankful to efferman for the UCS Falcon stand, otherwise who knows where that would go.
  17. Scary Potter IMG_20181029_083741 by topazard, on Flickr Edited to try and make photo work
  18. As of lately, Eurobricks reminds me of old dial-up webpages and I often just give up on trying to load a post. Did something change with some technical feature for this site? It's kind of sad since I have the fastest internet in my area (300mbps) until "they" run new cabling.
  19. Thank you for the detailed review. I did not care for this set at first, but now it is growing on me. There seems to be so much potential for modding it and I'm curious as to what others will come up with.
  20. Anyone in the USA notice that their B&P orders are being filled slower than usual? I placed an order on July 30th that still hasn't been processed. Unfortunately, it was the only time I ordered from them for a project (UCS Falcon 10179), which now happens to be the final parts needed.
  21. I prefer using Rebrickable to get these files onto BrickLink. Brickstock will work with a bit more effort and time.
  22. I was able to buy the boat rigging pieces that go to the UCS falcon for cheap (~$1.50 ea). For a while they were quite rare and very expensive. Part #47996
  23. Excellent job! Now I need to buy another of the new quidditch sets. Is that on two 32x32 baseplates or something else?
  24. Preorders aren't allowed on BL and they won't be added to the catalog until closer (or even after) release day. Search "Lego Harry Potter series" on ebay and you will find some. $236 for a box.
  25. Winter village station. BL part #75902pb11
