  1. When looking at the above picture it is the right lever/ changeover that activates while in neutral.
  2. I have a question regarding a changeover issue with the 42054 Class tractor set. In the rear of the set is the crane grabber unit with 2 levers/changeovers. With my model, the right lever (facing the rear/crane) seems to activate the mechanism even while in neutral. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have a suggestion for a new(ish) Technic builder to correct it? I took the unit off and played with the mechanism for a bit, but cannot tell what the cause might be.
  3. The Toys R Us by me has a bunch of those on the shelf at $89. That's also the only place that has Technic sets with a MSRP of over $50, so there's never any awesome deals locally. $129 for the Technic tractor on Amazon is the best deal I've found so far.
  4. I'm just getting back into Technic after about a decade of a dark (technic) age. I ended up building 42042 crawler crane today and it is definitely worth the price, especially if you can get it on sale like I did. This is the biggest Technic set I've built and it seems like it would be nice to tinker with. My only wish would be if it had some kind of motorized independent drive system not necessarily RC though. No complaints for $123 with tax.
  5. Does anyone know what LDD part 3326b is on BrickLink? All I know is that it should come in Lt Bluish Gray and be included in set 42025 (Technic Cargo Plane). I'm preparing to gather the parts for the 42025c alternate space shuttle moc.
  6. My most recent SW purchase was the collection of parts to build this Ebon Hawk: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/392295 I'm around 3/4 the way finished building it and it's looking good. There's some minor color substitutions needed and probably reinforcing the base a little. Otherwise, it is well done, though I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that doesn't have the patience to build from an LDD file. The order of the building guide is really poor, so you'll have to move around through the pages quite a bit.
  7. Wow. That leaves little time for ordering parts, so you must have a very large assortment on hand. I look forward to seeing what else you create. P.S. I just built the official set for this ship and I thought it was impressive until you posted yours.
  8. Quite impressive yet again. How long does it take you to create a model of this scale?
  9. Wow, that's top notch! Was this free-built or did you happen to design it in LDD or Ldraw type format first? I'd sure love to put that on a shelf if you happen to have a digital file and would be inclined to offer it to the public.
  10. Nice job. May I ask what you used for the sticker on the added curved slope in lime? I'm referring to the slope between the wheels.
  11. Both versions look nice in their own way. After tiling the dome of my UCS R2-D2 I didn't really think it looked any better. There's something about exposed studs that seems to work well for rounded designs.
  12. Olaf was a huge disappointment. I couldn't even bring myself to purchase one.
  13. The main issues were structural and keeping the midsection well connected. This is a tricky issue since the model is relatively small (17 inches), so there's not much room to work with. There's one faulty connection in LDD (besides the digital glue holding the model together). You cannot put a 4x4x2 Cone next to a Slope inverted 2x2 in the way you wanted for the rear engines. I forgot to add that Dark Red and Dark Bluish Gray are not possible combinations at this time. I found out the hard way after buying what I could in those colors.
  14. Nearly finished without any kind of adhesive: http://www.bricklink.com/imgView.asp?imgID=J331706&viewFrom=A http://www.bricklink.com/imgView.asp?imgID=J331705&viewFrom=A (I don't know how to post pictures here)
  15. I've pretty much given up on building the hammerhead, since I won't use glue. I ended up changing the colors to lt bley/ blue / yellow + white (all due to part availability), though I cannot get the thing to stay together to save my life. Put one piece on and a section falls off. It sure looks nice in digital form.
