  1. Absolutely insane build, and we love that over here! I really like your attention to detail with this build (those turn signal stocks are just perfect), and of course the functionality. Well deserved front page.
  2. Fantastic cute build. I quite like the pop-up headlights and the overall looks. One thing I think you can make better is the windshield to have more red at the top connection points. Also, it would have been nice if it had a working top
  3. This is a beautiful build! I like for compact everything is inside, very well done. Are those photorealistic renders?
  4. Thanks Viktor! Triple diff lock was a must for me. I think it would be cool to see my Bronco next to yours someday ;)
  5. I have also posted my file of the build (just the digital studio build) here
  6. Thanks everyone for voting on my build, and for the superb result! I have the stud.io file for this build, and it can be downloaded on my bricksafe page HERE There are some differences in the shifting mechanism to make it more reliable IRL compared to the file, but maybe you find the build useful for inspiration. The rear linear actuator positioning is interesting, where is just barely clears the L motor when in the retracted position. Have fun!
  7. Big congratulations to everyone who participated and voted. I am stoked about placing this good, and I appreciate that people like my build, but damn, 1 point difference is very close ;)
  8. This has to be the most heated topic we had in a while Fun read tbh
  9. I have personally made alternate models for the Ford GT (Toyota Supra) and the G class (Ford Bronco). Selling alternates allows me to purchase new sets, to buy parts for new models and MOCs, for competitions and to pay for joining lego contests (Buwizz Gathering 2023 and 2024). It's something that has helped me a lot and I can't see why I should change that. BTW, you can read the comment section on most B models (not mine specifically) and people say that almost all look better than the original set, and that is why eveyone buys stuff, to display it. I find it interesting that you say that Creator has a "decent comunity". So Technic doesn't just because there is a paywall? Also, no big brands will ever care if we use their name. They can't sue us because it isn't worth it for them. Imagine F3rr4ri :)) trying to sue someone from rebrickable, and having to prove that they are the original creator, they violated these counts, yada yada... It's almost like if Toyota got sued because their cars are used in certain activities, LOL.
  10. That's good news! Is it lower or higher than the other contest?
  11. This is awesome! Not something we see every day in here, and we love it.
  12. I had the pleasure of seeing this superb build in real life and I must say it's super impressive. Considering the weight, it is very fast, and also quite maneuverable. Well done!
  13. Wow, this is an absolutely insane build!
  14. Thanks guys! I will have to make a topic for the Nomad these days. I have posted it on facebook and by popular demand I have to make instructions for it, probably for free ;)
  15. I have made some photos of the Bronco next to my Ariel Nomad (Buwizz 2024 Gathering entry). Check it out:
  16. The wheels are just perfect for such builds. Thanks! Model aesthetics are very important to me. Thanks Eric! I just wish I used more like 97% of the parts, but 91% is still respectable.
  17. Hello world! I present you today with my latest alternate build -> Ford Bronco I built it as an alternate model of the 42177 G500 set. The set offered this amazing orange parts and tires that were just perfect for this car. What I wanted to achieve with this build is to make an accurate representation of the Ford Bronco, in particular the Raptor specification (see the sharp edged wheel arches). I quite like the real car, and it is definitely a head turner, at least here in Europe where we don't see that many compared to the States. The features of the model are as following: -HoG with working steering wheel -Front independent suspension and rear live axle -Front/Center/Rear differential lock -Working V6 engine -HI/LOW gearbox Also: -Opening hood -Opening doors and tailgate with lock -Foldable rear bench Talking a bit about the design process... I started with the lockable front differential assembly. With all of my builds, I use blueprints imported in studio, to make sure the car I'm building is as accurate as it can be. The blueprints showed me that the car will be wider that the original set, by 2 studs, which is the exact space I needed to make the front lockable diff fit. Then I started building the front end actually, after finishing the front axle. This includes the bumper, grill, headlights, hood, arches... Not the traditional way, but with alternate models you have a limited parts selection, so if anything, I want to use the best parts to make the front end. After a satisfying result, I continued with the frame, the switch gearbox and the rear axle. They were pretty easy to make. Finished the last mechanical details, after which I started on the bodywork and seats. This model uses 2625 pieces, which is 91% of the original 2891 that the set uses. Here are some dimensional measurements: Another cool thing I did, was to make it able to be transformed into a "Safari" version, where the B pillars, roof and doors can be removed easily. I really like this crazy striped down look, and I think it really suits the car. BTW, notice that the original Bronco has the wing mirrors mounted not on the removeable doors (I think it is to fit some regulations around the world). YouTube video HERE Bricksafe gallery HERE And of course, building instructions are available HERE Thanks everyone for the read, and I'm waiting for your opinions on this build!
  18. I have made a custom part by meshing the Land Rover tires with resized Audi etron tires. And no, the official tires didn't get added yet. BTW, the new studio update is very bad. It moved the hinge tool off to the side, and made it as a separate button next to the "move" tool. And when you try to steer hubs to check how the steering works, the hinge now no longer rotates the hub on the ball joints, but in the "air" and you have to reposition the hubs on the ball joints.
  19. I would hope we have no people with such voting "rigging" in mind. I do agree with the suggestion that if you want to win, you should vote. It only takes like 10-15 minutes and it is good sport.
  20. Hard to pick this time, there are a lot of top MOCs in this contest.
  21. I think you may want to have a look at THIS topic and just scroll through the pages. I'm sure you'll find something that will fit your needs. Best of luck!
  22. Yeah, this is my favorite entry :)
