  1. It was go brick me that got me in. I’ve never been a fan of static collectables like funko pops etc. So wanted to skip the theme. I got a captain America (cause I love Cap) and a Hulk (was on clearance) but it was go brick me that really grabbed me, the possibilities and building techniques, being able to build myself, it got me and my girlfriend hooked. Skip forward 6 months and we’ve got nearly 40 Brickheadz between us, plus 5 copies of go brick me...
  2. There’s improvement in that figure, but it’s still atrocious. I mean, what is that arm print?
  3. Fair enough, if it turns out to be true, and the AT-M6 isn’t retired when that’s released, my hopes will be on a UCS AT-AT
  4. I meant system scale snowspeeder
  5. I really hope for ISD, or AT-AT. Not sure what else they could do for their 20th anniversary at that piece count, unless it’s another master builder playset. I know an AT-AT is always unlikely, but there is a rumour of a snowspeeder is there not? And the current walker that took up the usual every 4 years AT-AT spot isn’t being retired. So if there’s not going to be a system AT-AT, maybe UCS.
  6. Hulk definitely needed a new hair piece to match his more shaved look,
  7. I think we have enough vehicles. U less they start basing designs off of actual things (Arkham knight, new 52, tumbler etc.) I think location sets would be more fun. Like a Batcave or gcpd. Well the last Batcave was tiny and by that great, the one before that was a 1960s version, and before that was in 2012. Nothings beaten the 12 year old 2006 version yet. I would like a definitive Batcave for the collection, and one that could fit a good few vehicles in it
  8. I know it says batvehicle, but wouldn’t a proper D2C Batcave be amazing? The tv series one was great, but the batman movie one was way too small. A proper comic-based Batcave with 2000/3000 pieces and a plethora of bat family members would be awesome.
  9. True, but they did do it, so the complaint is valid. if they’d never introduced leg printing or dual moulding there’d never be complaints about Minifigures’ lack of it, but they did, so there is
  10. That hulk figure is awful. Such a big movie and Lego are gonna our less effort than they did for Justice League.
  11. The stylistic nature of the mighty micros kept me from purchasing them. The only times I have was for parts e.g awesome mix tape and Minifigures that could work elsewhere e.g Comics Ultron and Magnetos alternate face for a symbiote Spider-Man. with the juniors, and now plus 4 sets, I’ll only get them for exclusive Minifigures or good pieces. I got the batman vs mr freeze for mr.freeze, the Jurassic World Set for the T-Rex, the lex Luthor set for luthor, Batman and the printed parts. And the set with Jason Todd for him. The new sets for this theme don’t seem to have that interesting Minifigures. Doc Ock is alright but I prefer the previous versions, I’m undecided
  12. It’s interesting, on the U.K. site it also just says ‘sold out’ for the Brickheadz rather than backordered. But I think it’s said that on and off for all the releases all year. They seem to sell out a lot.
  13. Not news related, but if you’re in the U.K. Brickheadz are super cheap in Tesco at the moment. Managed to snag the Justice League and Jurassic World twin packs for £11.50 each! Stormtrooper, Vader, Han, Chewie, Elsa, Gamora and Starlord are £7.75. And go brick me is £13!!!(half price) picked up another 2 of them, have 5 of that Set now, about time I get onto doing some more custom builds. (a couple of these ones, along with sale stuff from other themes (some Star Wars sets are 50% off) are availible on their online grocery store too)
  14. If it’s a hooded green arrow you’re after, Lloyds hood from the Ninjago Movie is a great one! (And it’s availible in the blind bags, so a cheap piece to pick up!)
  15. Especially if, like me, you like to turn most of the cars into road vehicles. The Audi R8, for example, would be impossible to convert if they weren’t stickers. Okay that’s pretty cool i have a feeling we will get 4th car later in the year, we have always gotten 4 cars a year, would be odd if they break that trend. I would love it to be a Lambo, hopefully it’s being released later because they tried to gain a new licence
  16. The butter knife wasn’t new, it’s a helicopter propeller piece, I for one have it in another set on a helicopter (can’t remember which set off the top of my head) The point isn’t just the printing. Personally I wouldn’t be getting annoyed over these figures, except that we know that these aren’t up to to Lego’s usual standard. Compare the captain marvel sets to Harry Potter’s last year, or any Star Wars or Ninjago sets, or hell even ones from the Superhero line from 2016 or prior. Lego used to put effort into the suoerhero Minifigures, but for some reason that budget has gone, which is utterly bizarre to me, considering that the Minifigures are the selling points of a lot of these sets. dont bash on people that have a problem with this, they’re allowed to not like it, and vise versa, we won’t bash on Those who don’t have a problem with it? Is that okay? Because every time someone says they don’t like a minifig, it seems like a crusade to make them seem like whiny kids who should just be happy with anything they get Lego may have had a tough year, but that doesn’t explain why almost all other IP’s have better Minifigures atm (Harry Potter, Overwatch, neither are anywhere near the money makers of Star Wars) its not just leg and arm prints, I’m personally not bothered by those, it’s stuff like the inaccuracies and reuses of unsuitable parts that bug me. also this is a forum is it? A place for discussion on opinions on lego? These are people opinions on it, respect them. I’m not telling you you guys are wrong for Liking the stuff, but that’s all we get told when we say we’re not happy with something. personally I disagree with this ‘just be grateful’ attitude some have. It’s a product that they want us to pay for, and we know that usually do better, and even are in products releasing at the same time. There is a certain standard long-term consumers are allowed to expect from companies. It’s just the fact that lego are falling behind in the standard they’ve set themselves. Back in 2016, they corrected the colour for visions stone in the set he released in, but in 2018, they didn’t correct Strange’s. I’m not saying everyfigures needs arm printing or dual moulding. Leg printing is fairly reasonable to expect I feel as most figures have them compared to the other things, but something as simple as not updating that inaccuracy in a print, that they have done in the past in the same situation, just shows a lack of effort or care in the product. I thought maybe the Lego Batman Movie or Harry Potter ate the budget last year, but I can’t really think what’s doing it now for the Captain Marvel Set. sorry for the long post, and I don’t intend to be argumentative, just suggesting that maybe don’t just bash others opinions on it, or discredit them, all opinions are allowed here, positive or negative
  17. Lego have posted a teaser of what I presume is the Senna on Instagram, but it’s completely different colours to the regular release version, it’s got weird zebra stripe-ish pattern on a white base colour
  18. Can someone explain to me how Harry Potter and Star Wars get leg and arm printing and some dual mouldings and lots of new moulded, but marvel gets...this
  19. Those are some of the worst Minifigures in the line so far. Reused faces, immaculate hairpiece, no leg printing, not even printing on the skrull headpiece. I’m not usually one to go in for bashing Lego and going over the top, but I might not buy this just because of those
  20. Interesting, I searched for that set specifically on their website and there was nothing. In store only maybe?
  21. The only two pack I think that is quite widely available over here is the Ron and Dumbledore one, but even that is still not everywhere. I’m not sure what Smyths stock, but outside of them it is quite contained, and lot of large retailers don’t stock them. Argos and the Entertainer stock very few brickheadz (the former only the Harry Potter single pack and Hegwig pack, the latter only the infinity War packs, dc ones and go brick me). John Lewis never really has any in stores, but I believe some are available online. And as I mentioned before; the supermarket chains (Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda) seem to have their own exclusive 2 packs, with a shared limited range of single packs. It is quite an interesting setup, but I kinda like it, reminds me of the days when I had to hunt around different stores to find different action figures, you never quite know what you’re going to find. EDIT: just checked out Smyths, which I have been told in this thread before stocks some exclusives; they only seem to have the go brick me Set. So I am quite confident in saying that, in the U.K., Ariel & Ursula, Venkman & Slimer, Marty & Doc, both Frozen packs, Minnie, Mickey, Sally & Jack, Luke & Yoda, Leia, Boba Fett, Rocket&Groot, Newt&Grindlewald, Krusty & Homer and Mr&mrs Claus, are all exclusive to the Lego Shop.
  22. Won’t affect us much in the U.K., most of them are limited here already. Currently the only single releases you can get anywhere other than Shop@home are Vader, Stormtrooper, Hermione, Chewie and Han. The rest of the Harry Potter ones are widely available. But the two packs, outside of Lego and Smyths, seem to be exclusive to a lot of retailers; like the Batman & Superman Set at Tesco, or the Incredibles at Sainsbury’s, or Minecraft at Asda. I’m fairly certain that, other than Smyths, which aren’t that common a shop as one might presume, the frozen, Disney, BTTF, Ghostbusters and Santa Brickheadz are exclusive to Shop@Home
  23. The series are The Lego Movie 2, Series whatever the next one is, and Disney series 2
  24. To go with what CMF series? We’re not getting a HP series next year. And the Hogwarts Castle Set used the D2C-for-CMF set numbering
  25. Oh, fair enough then, didn’t realise
