LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Whovastron replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My only problem with the Starkiller Set is the lack of Finn. We could of had a new angry face and a print of the fresh slash on his torso, could have been cool. And play features to launch Rey and the lightsaber. definately getting this set, love these £20 vignette sets. I know people like having good figures in expensive sets, but being able to get Kylo and Rey in a £20 Set is great. -

Just a thought: the Lego Hidden Side high school could make a good Arkham-style building if you take away the school specific elements. If anyone’s going for a game-style multi-building Asylum like myself. This, along with the 2017 and 2013 asylums should make a pretty substantial full asylum -

What do you mean by British style -
Haven’t we seen a steamboat willie-style Minnie Minifig too? Or am I imagining things? If so, will she come in this Set or will she be in the CMF to compliment it? I can imagine this will release around the time of that Disney series

LEGO Ideas - Central Perk Coffee of Friends

Hadn’t looked st the submission project myself, but man I hope they completely overhaul it because that doesn’t really resemble the coffee house to me. It shouldn’t be a square shape, the window wall should be diagonal so that the door is almost directly behind the sofa. I’m sure they’ll do some Lego magic to it though. i do agree with you though that the space stuff should of gone through, that ISS would have been awesome. But I reckon it’s just because they don’t want to be producing similar stuff, the space shuttle from the last review and the ISS and space X stuff would have been too similar to Saturn V, and I think the Idea’s team want to do something very different every time. They know there’s a market for space stuff now though so maybe we’ll get some NASA sequel sets to the Saturn V akin to the Ghostmusters firehouse, but then again, they know there’s a market for more Back to the future and Jurassic Park, but they’ve not produced anything, so who knows. -

I feel the guys wouldn’t suit those hairpieces. The slicked back hair is a bit too short for Ross I think, but then something like the greaser hair is too tall. I think the brick costume boys hair could work for an early seasons joey or chandler, or the Minifigures frame Minifigures hair could work for a season 1 Joey. The zombie businessman’s hair I think is a tad too messy for joey I think. I have a feeling the sleepy head hair might appear on someone. I hope pheobe comes with her guitar and smelly cat, but not sure what they could include with the others though. i really hope we get printed Central Perk mugs though! -

Most certainly a Tantive IV. If the ISD rumours are true for later this year, they’re quite the pair. -

Would have loved one of the space projects to be taken forward, but damn I’m excited for this. apprently releasing for the 25th anniversary of the first episode, so September time release date it seems. -

I’m not sure what you’re looking at, because they definitely are attached. The left leg is the one to the right of the box, it’s just lifted on the ground, the right leg is just straight. -

And yet the U.K. hasn’t had any bricktober packs yet. Aren’t we like the only territory not to get them now? Europe got them, Canada and America got them. Pretty much just the UK and Australia were left out -

Well we’ve known for months that it was going to be a shooting game, so I wonder why you’d get your hopes up for anything that wouldn’t stick out. Lego is first and foremost a toy company, and they’re experimenting, experimenting in a theme that can afford to take a hit if it fails. -

Exactly also, with everything else coming out this year (avengers, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Lego Movie) a theme needed to take a hit for my sanity’s sake lol. Saying that though, I’m still wanting most of what’s coming this year -

That anot dumbed down, just shrunk to allow Bette play. Some kids can’t afford an AT-AT and an echo base in desperate £100 sets, I would of loved this as a kid. You make some points overall, but it doesn’t explain why there should be a comparison, for example with the endor set, with the Ewok village, why would it be able to go with that. Form a concept point of view sure, they could of made a small endor set that could have. But to be disappointed what we’ve gotten here after knowing for months that it was going to be exactly this is beyond me. I don’t get why people were expecting more. -

They’re not dumbed down. It’s just a speeder and tree, but with shooting targets and guns. -

Some people moaning about the endor and both sets need to remember they’re not supposed to be regular sets, they’re a children shooting game. They’re not designing a child’s shooting game to go well with an expensive collectors set. Did anyone seriously expect these sets to be ‘actual’ regular sets. I always thought it was quite clear they’d have a fun chibi aspect to them with big targets. Atleast there’s a new scout trooper and accurate shield generator for those that are interested. -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Whovastron replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
If they ever feel like it, they could easily make a whole wave or two based on the first 3 movies. Spread out that could keep the theme going for a few years. from the first film there’s obviously the visitors centre, the raptor paddock, tree paddock, the 2 different cars. And for dinos there’s the raptors, trike, Rexy, brachiosaurus, the ‘flocking’ ones. for the second film there’s the big trailer vechile, the tree hide, all the military vehicles, the camp, there could be a san Francisco set. and for the third, the spino obviously, the pterodactyls, The ‘bird Cage’, the plane, Eric’s hideout, the boat. So many possibilities. -
Yeah it seems Harry Potter is a no show. Which is odd considering the summer JW and SW sets are there.

I hope the set is first movie related, but a visitor centre really doesn’t interest me. It will depend what comes with it. All I want is the gates and the cars. it astounds me that we will have had 3 Jurassic Park waves by this summer, and yet still haven’t had a proper build of the gates, and only 1 original movie set. It’s so bizarre. Lego don’t shy away from nostalgic franchises; ghostbusters, back to the future, wizard of oz. but they seem so reluctant to do jurassic Park. And it’s not like universal don’t like it, the fallen Kingdom toyline had a ‘legacy’ collection with character and dinos from the first 3 films, even human characters and vehicles, so why are lego so reluctant. It’s such a weird decision I just don’t understand it. If the D2C isn’t a big original movie set that they’ve just been waiting for, then I’m stumped. The most iconic parts of the franchise, the gates, and the explorers, still haven’t been done. -

I’d argue that the innovation is more prominent than the latter 2 you mention. It’s a cool looking building and would be a nice centrepiece to a park display. -

Thought: the D2C is the innovation centre from JW. It’s on a few box arts for the upcoming wave. If it’s not first film based, I’d put my money on that. I honestly wouldn’t mind a big park expansion. -

I honestly doubt we’ll see a gauntlet. They’d need to include the piece with 4 of each stone. I can’t see them putting 6 of those in a set -
Oooo, what if the horntail comes in the ‘watchtower’ Set. It does climb on Hogwarts in the movie. Maybe the set is just a tower rather than the clocktower, and we get harry with his firebolt and the horntail also there’s a graveyard set coming in Lego’s new augmented reality theme, would they really release 2 graveyards in one summer?

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Whovastron replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I quite like the raptor mould, it’s oversized, but the articulation can add so much character Anyway, my thoughts on these sets: Dilo Set: for £20 there’s a lot of great value here, a Dino and more than 1 side build, and 3 Minifigures. There’s nothing exciting from the figs, but the drone is a nice build, despite being way too large. The Dilo is so-so, I prefer the old one with articulation. The park beverages stand is so great though! Perfect to place around a Jurassic world display. I’ve been hoping for more theme-park related stuff and this is perfect. Will probably buy that separate though. trike Set: brilliant, love it. The fencing looks proper and accurate, the sign and small entrance gate are fun and can easily be customised for multiples to be added to a display, and the small ride is fun. The triceratops’ printing Is fab and the Minifigures are fine. The ATV gives the Set a juniors looks though. I might bricklink extra fences and signs from this set. the Baryonyx Set: the Jeep is one of the best I’ve seen lego do; no bold colours, silly Jurassic World branding, and it looks like a real vehicle! The trailer is nice too, gives me a lost world vibe. The treasure area build is bad but oh well the rest makes up for it. The Minifigures are fine. But that baryonyx is beautiful. The mould is perfect and the printing is sublime. Honestly Lego have smashed it with these £60 JW sets (carno, T-Rex and this). Although as it’s $60, I’m hoping it might be £50/55 the T-Rex Set: that much is amazing. A solid build that looks super fun despite how ridiculous it is. It personally doesn’t work with what I look for in this theme, but damn will parents be buying their kids that next Christmas. Rexy ( I presume it’s her) has perfect printing, the colours are still totally wrong though. The underside it perfect, but the top is awful. The Minifigures are fine again, the volcano build does nothing for me. But that life raft being brickbuilt is really nice, and the raptor recolours are great. will he the trike and Bary Set, might grab the Dilo on sale, won’t buy the T-Rex one -
