Finally a good looking figure for the year. Printed legs, new mould, and it’s not even gonna be reused a ton of times. Im quite happy with the lack of gold, makes him work more as comic Mysterio. Hopefully we’ll get a pure comic one in the next comic based wave.

No offence mate, but that just sounds like ‘if my info is wrong then I was right at some point’. If you have info, either say it or don’t. This charade of posting about people messaging you and even being rude to others who are speculating is really annoying. You can’t withold info here, and then be rude to someone when they’re speculating, just because they didn’t message you. im sorry if this sounds like I’m trying to mini-mod, I’m not. It’s just annoying that when I come to a thread for speculating and discussing the upcoming sets, there’s just someone constantly saying people need to message them because they know everything

I think a big issue with the set, atleast for me, is that there wasn’t really much value to it in terms of what you got. The 12th Doctor wasn’t in his regular outfit, they purposely put that in dimensions so you had to buy both, but even then the costume is the 11th Doctors second costume, but as it doesn’t have the bow tie you can’t even use it for him (except maybe with the blue bow tie piece from the Lego Batman Movie). The Daleks and Angel were great, but the TARDIS was way too tall, if the set had been the dimensions TARDIS, that would have worked great. But the size just looks weird with the figs, so isn’t even really good for display with them. The console room build is alright, but it’s not very accurate (well, the console itself is, but the column and base are all wrong). the 11th Doctor was a good inclusion, doesn’t really make much sense in the context of the set considering his clothes, but it was nice, just a shame they didn’t include more Doctors. 2015 was an interesting time for DW merch. The hype of 2013 50th anniversary had died down, and Capaldi’s seasons hadn’t been doing well in viewership. When the set was on Ideas, a lot of the hype was still there, but that was for a Set with classic Doctors and when the set came and it was the current Doctor and not even a great representation of him, I think it turned a lot of people away.

There’s pieces out there as fragile as the one I suggested, and ye fragility could be remedied by the soft plastic.

That leaker often gets the Minifigures he leaks, was selling endgame ones recently too, and we know they’re true

I think new mould could worth if it’s something like this: regular bar at the front, then becomes thin so Minifigures legs can go either side of it, then go back to a bar with some sort of stud connect on the end, so you can attach different styles of broom heads, would also make it a more versatile part that could be used elsewhere

The medical wing is even 100% confirmed to be in the top floor of the clocktower in Prisoner of Azkaban, many a window dolly shot there is lol! if the clocktower was ‘in scale’ with the rest of the building so far, it won’t be as tall as the main tower, it would be awesome if they do the courtyard if they don’t do an extension to the side. this set does feature more pieces than the great hall, so it’s gonna be a significant expansion! If it’s all dedicated to buildings, it’ll be the biggest part of the castle we’ve gotten so far

Doctor Who even stopped being hot property in the U.K. around 2011. Back in 2006-8 the toyline for the show swarmed every toy shop in Britain. Now currently there is one action figure and one sonic screwdriver, and they don’t sell well. As far as I’m aware, the set under performed. Nothing like Adventure time or Big Bang. But it didn’t sell as well as they were expecting.

Those are, from what I can tell and presume, all rumours/ things from the same set. if the Yule ball characters aren’t in the Hogwarts Set (which I reckon they will, I know the ball is in the great hall but I doubt lego will worry about that, and neither will kids buying) then they are in the triwizard Set and it’s the ball. If it’s not the ball, it’s either the graveyard or the first task I reckon. We won’t get both. I think, what would be really cool, is if the watchtower Set is a building with the yule ball on the inside, but then comes with the horntail and Harry on the firebolt, as they fly around Hogwarts. Incredibly unlikely, but could be cool.

I don’t think it really detracts from the figure. If you’re going for accuracy, none of the dinos are good, I mean, trex has lips and fur... but the baryonyx still looks great, day one buy for me, didn’t even notice the raptor claw until it was pointed out

But Star Wars is one of the best selling themes, why don’t they cheap out there? The ships are the selling point for those anyway

True, but, excuse the pun, stranger things have happened (honestly didn’t intend that pun) who would of thought we’d get simpsons? Or ghostbusters? I’d say ghostbusters and Jurassic Park are as ‘scary’ as stranger things. But yeah, if it did happen it would be way out of left field. This guy who has leaked this does have history, and has gotten a few things up while before others haven’t picked up on it. Who knows ‘eh

What else has “leaked” today?

So the guy who makes the ‘everythhing we know so far’ website list of Lego products for each year has said that a stranger things D2C is coming. No one else is reporting on it but he’s added it to the website so he must be pretty confident in it. I asked him why no one else is reporting it and he said that the same as happened in the past with leaks like the Boost R2D2. So take it with a huge grain of salt, but man it would be awesome if this was true!!

I really wanna know why lego are cheating out on marvel. It doesn’t even seem to be affecting DC, their dogs get new prints and moulds more than marvel does (I bet that without that firefly set we wouldn’t have gotten the ant man helmet mould.) I just really wanna know. People keep telling me that Lego are cutting corners with dogs across the board... but are they? Look at Star Wars, Harry Potter and Jurassic World and tell me that they’re being affected like marvel. i just find it so bizarre because: Star Wars I buy for the ships harry Potter for the locations and vehicles jurassic park for the dinos but superheroes most people buy for the minifigures! I would instantly buy the endgame set, or the captain marvel set if the figures looked any good, but they couldn’t even continue Cap’s red print onto her waist. It’s just so disappointing

Extremely disagree. If anyone’s displaying the interior, they’re doing it wrong, the exterior is one of the best castle builds Lego hasn’t ever done. It’s an amazingly detailed set of what you want is a Hogwarts castle to display

If we get a fishbowl mould, hopefully Lego will reuse it for a future comic-based Set. It’s killing me that he’s the only sinister six member we don’t have!

I’m actually kinda happy it’s a comic Shazam, he’s never been released outside of SDCC, a nice addition to the already impressive Justice League roster we have. I’d say that, for myself, the roster we have available is pretty much perfect... superman, Wonder Woman, batman, green Lantern (Hal&John), the Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Shazam, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Cyborg pretty good core team, Shazam was the last one we needed

I dint think there is much potential for an early release date. A Harry Potter set appeared here before June last year so everyone thought the U.K. would be getting them June, we ended up with them in August. Although I believe potentially they were pushed back but some found their way to stores early.
