gotta say this is a nice way of them to remake set 7113 more accurately and with some bonuses -
it was a pain to build it as two separate segments and structurally i'm not sure if it holds (i believe the top segment holds with two tension forces at a right angle), and then to add in just enough space to get it to split at a 45-degree angle on each segment, but I'm hoping that if built irl it can form the cave mouth from the pilots like this: but otherwise, everything should be in the mecabricks file or ldd i believe; forgot to separate the bridge as a group but it should work out like this: where the liftarm has a ball to lift the sword from its base while the wedge above splits open the temple, which should split open if the rubber band does what it does around the balls acting as levers.
-
glad you asked: i know i didn't make a photo, but i intended to have the plate of the bridge push forward, which in turn should drop the front and cause the thing to split open using rubber bands and bring the sword of fire up (also using rubber bands); i might've forgotten to get a couple images of the back and underside in and trying to open it in ldd is a pain because of the multiple variables, but i had no intention of forgetting that function on either the big one or the gwp-esque model, though given that it is a digital moc im not sure if the model would actually have the same integrity built irl to demonstrate the function. but thanks for pointing it out! i always appreciate a chir siblings' comment even if it isn't necessarily positive, and especially as a fan of you guys for a while.

don't we already know the mando set is roughly 276 pieces? -

imean it's likelier we're getting the headband printed; with how small that hairpiece is it could work out printed straight on the head instead of as a different piece. no confirmation until full leaks drop tho (also just realized you were lz; nice to meetcha again ig!) -

to be fair to pre-2012 interceptors, the original props had no intent to get the whole body to fit and ended up a lot more like this (forgive the extra images but uhhh) -
there's a prototype? i mostly based it on the fire temple set and its appearance in-show (hence the extra floor), but anyways thanks! i didn't render it (gonna thank iNath for saying i deserved it) but i did build it over the course of roughly two and a half weeks and i guess it turned out pretty fine. yeah i definitely took from the bottom portion from the legacy dragon and compared how their two predecessors were similar; there's a little hinged piece in the back to get it to slope and i'm not pleased to have used the clips instead of using 1x1s to fill out the region near the torso joints but i think it worked out pretty well in the end! ended up making the head last-minute because it turned out no one has a 3d sculpt for the dragon head in 71701. as a whole it was one of the first things i worked on and i love building the side-builds in sets so it worked out ig. yeah, definitely; my intent with the temple itself was to get it to look like a lego set that could be bought and sold, but once i got to the base and rockwork i realized it would have to be way different and basically just tiled up the rocks and the base and let some studs stay if they already were there. definitely could've used some fixes (the lowest roof hasn't changed since i built it, and the second floor wall still has those pesky studs) but everything else i think worked out, and frankly im not sure if i want to pull it back out and layer bricks and clone the same tile over and over again (not a jab, and not related to the quote; just expressing a little discontent over the roof but i agree with the issue with some of the studs).

yeah it's weird that they chose her but tbh you don't see much of her so it's nice to know exactly what her design is now this should probably be in show discussion but ToE is probably more of a team season than anything; kai has his moments with skylor and they bring back his anger/dynamic with lloyd (which is handled better in possession imo despite that being a terrible season), but other than that it's got jay and cole in the middle, zane coming to terms with his identity and worth, lloyd hijacking the whole season at the end, and if anything a lot for garmadon: the big g gets a whole backstory and personal conflict and comes to terms with his past and gets resolution, it's his season most of all but definitely a great season for everyone -

yknow it's nice to see an "exclusive" you can find all the parts to, and it's a nice complement to the bespin duel set (with the same plaque plate! sucks for the at-at); idunno about you guys but if i collected star wars this would be a day 1 bricklink spree -

3-4 would work because, once again, Cole's got his hairpiece set and Zane might not even need it (new wraparound face print would work just fine a la CMF... Zane) -

75292 The Razor Crest – MODs and improvements

Has anyone tried to use technic to raise the engine supports a smidge? afaict there's a very slight angle the fuselage takes to get to the engines and with the angle of the bodywork technic could work out pretty well.- 110 replies

where are you getting this hypothesis, we've got no real indicators that battle packs were scrapped so... personally would be fine to see these sets go down in price if they're decent models and more worth the p:p; iirc the 2012 tie was an ideal $40 model but priced at $50, but this one might just be a $30-value tie if anything. haven't bought a star wars set in forever but with the semi-cheaper sets it feels like they're trying to return to an earlier era where sets were at least reasonably priced; loved the last x wing and the last pure tie was alright but both were $20 overpriced for their content. an $80 tyderium makes sense even if the last one was huge. hoping if anything that this is an indicator that the summer wave is going to be huge in contrast to the winter wave; the last time i remember that was in 2011 when i was 10 and saw the full product release for the summer (even if they were mostly ep 1) after getting my first set in the BARC battle pack -

[REVIEW] 40412 Hagrid & Buckbeak (Brickheadz GWP)
Pirean_Grammaticul replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
yknow it does have its faults, but it's kinda cool that hagrid is all built from existing parts instead of cheating out like most brickheadz honestly. Maybe they could've done what they do with mandalorian heads on the body? Also, neat that you're doing HP reviews again; can we expect any other reviews for sets from the last 2 years? -

most brickfanatics articles are complete conjecture based on some leaks (either from here or the #legoleaks tag) or a cross-promotion with mandr (all the "first look" articles that somehow ignored any reviews earlier than mandr), outside of their interviews they're not a big-name or official lego afol news site (though is there really any that fits either category?) and they're not exactly a "reliable source" -
