  1. Regarding the UCS poll (which I'm sure someone's pointed out in the 4 or so odd months since it went out): if the last poll is any indication, all three sets should eventually be made within the next four years (or more, given that UCS sets take longer to develop simply because of sheer amount of detail and the leap in greebling in even regular sets within the last decade). frankly, as much as i'd like to see a new tie bomber on shelves from lego just because it sets up the benchmark for a good tie bomber for future mocists, which is probably why we lobby for these remakes instead of finding a way to build our own, even with the new norm with starfighters set at $70 or $80 and the piece count necessary to get the tie bomber's fuselage right, i could never see myself buying a tie fighter exceeding $80 either as a broke college student or as a casual lsw collector; at this point, the only viable tie bomber would either be a ucs or juniors set --- but anyways, i think this got lost a page or two back but wow (thanks @Anio for the review) that night buzzard looks like shit; incredible that lego's selling what is essentially a tiny hollow shell with pretty decorations and three neat figs for $70 but i guess that's where we are with modern lego sets. that the designers couldn't really be bothered to fill the gaps around the part with the hoses or add even the slightest bit of interior to justify the $.12 p:p ratio is astounding. haven't checked out star wars releases in a while so i haven't seen how bad things are getting but wow this wave is almost a textbook case of bad decisions entirely contingent on the whims of capital; selling sets entirely based on figure selection, jacking up prices on what in normal releases would be fantastic sets, rereleasing models from 6 years ago with maybe 4 pieces changed despite an improvement in between... damn
  2. skales i think? anyways that shirt is definitely new: it's the 2019 hood and that could never have been made in 2017
  3. personally tlnm's game is better than most other lego games if it didn't also look like shit most of the time, love the open-world aspect and the fight system but if someone refined the rendering system that would have helped.
  4. does anyone else hear jack desena in this
  5. is there anything under the deck tho? there's always a cabin lol
  6. on that note, wonder if lego could notch jay's eyebrow; a simple way to make jay look distinct with the already existing unique faces
  7. no ur ok, i misinterpreted! everything is fine
  8. just a heads up, ccbs (the buildable figure system) has been retired for over a year so that buildable baby yoda rumor is bunk. someone get mandr a restrainer
  9. like are "accurate" legacy figs really that important? older designs are neat but its not like they're perfect or worth replicating exactly; some of the redesigns (stone warrior, nindroid, skeletons to some degree) work better for the figs and honestly the new tournament outfits are a neat way to get in more costumes while improving the old costumes. of course i'd love a fig i missed back then or one lego hasn't made though speaking of which, if they're remaking tournament sets next year this is their chance to make dojo showdown bigger...
  10. maybe when prime empire is incorporated into the digiverse (heavy speculation) he'll get a suit?
  11. i know we left this behind a few pages ago but wasn't the shitty tie dagger from earlier this year the same price as the soulless one for roughly the same piece count? and stormies seem fine without black heads, the new helmet goes over enough of the head that it just doesn't appear
  12. I'm now convinced that i might as well buy this set that i would otherwise hate; good MOC! love turning things into mechs anyways
  13. Isn't maul coming in a book? Regardless, we know he's somewhere...
  14. I don't want to come off as rude, but it's been three mondays...
  15. There was a period between 2015 and 2017 where Zane would be in roughly one or two conventional-release sets max in two or three different variants, which made sense for Tournament but was honestly bizarre in Possession and Skybound when his normal variant was relegated to one set and basically no polys. Weird to see it resurface now, but it's def curious. Anyways, on underwater sets, IKR Tommy once said animating water and a completely underwater environment would be expensive and time-consuming; don't take the quote exactly on this. dammit how do i edit a post
  16. can't wait for the inevitable gag about wu not being able to navigate the digiverse or whatever
  17. when i said new, i meant the print, but fact-check me on the show i've spent half my existence a fan of i guess
  18. wait isn't nya wearing the new pink suit? might reinforce that theory
  19. I feel like supporting space nazis just looking at it; fantastic display piece and fantastic details!
