  1. love the sound of the keaton style mobile!!
  2. WOW finally just watched Disc one of the ROTK extended Blu Ray. Its a crime theres no minas tirith or fellbeasts or the witch king, Its a shame they couldn't do like a final tribute wave to all six films including The Hobbit as theres gaps there too. Could be something like: £11.99 Sauron Vs Isildur, Includes Sauron (armoured), Isildur and Elendil and a rock that breaks when sauron hits it with his mace. £19.99 Balrog Battle: Gandalf grey without hat, 2 moria orcs, balrog and a bridge for them to stand on that splits in half and one side can collapse. £29.99 Amon Hen Showdown: Boromir (Elven cape), Aragorn (black tunic, grey arms and elven cape), lurtz (battle armour), one urukhai £39.99 Hobbit: Dol Guldur rescue: attaches to current dol guldur sets includes stairway to platform with cage and archway and a lightup orange ring of fire to represent sauron's eye and radagast's sled, set includes: Saruman (leg printing), Gandalf (injured), Radagast (scared expression and stoic expression), two of the nine nasgul (ghost form), Sauron (black sillouette with helmet) £59.99 Hobbit: Ravenhill Final Duel: Like ruins and passages but larger with more height, includes Azog (armoured), Bolg, Thorin (chainmail), Legolas (travel) and 2 gundabad armoured orcs. set includes a tower as part of it that can tip over and create a bridge for legolas and bolg to fight on. £79.99 Hobbit Front gate of erebor, about the size of one section of the erebor set we currently have but instead the front gate which can be built into a wall or into a broken barricade wall, the battlements has places for figures to comfortably stand and a swinging bell feature is also included, the set can attach onto the current set next to the throne of erebor. Figures include Thranduil (armoured on elk), 2 iron hill dwarves, an armoured troll, 2 elf soldiers and 2 armoured orcs. £100 City of dale attack, same sort of size as helm's deep includes: Bard (current one but with laketown attack face), Gandalf (with injury marks on face), Bilbo (mithril vest showing under blue coat), 2 dale soldiers, 2 elf soldiers, a troll, 4 gundabad orcs in armour. £34.99 Witchking confrontation: Set includes Fell beast and a horse for theoden. Minfigures included: Theoden (armoured with hair), Eowyn (amoured hair and helmet included), The Witch king, Merry in rohan armour. £69.99 Oliphant attack: includes huge, partially brick built oliphant, legolas (with cape), 4 pirates of umbar, 2 riders of rohan on horses £149.99 Minas Tirith includes very large minas tirith made up in sections with towers and walls, grond, fellbeast and a seige engine. Figures included: Gandalf The white, Denethor, 4 gondor troopers, Faramir, Gothmog, 4 mordor orcs in armour and a troll. That would be a great final tribute wave but sadly it will never happen.
  3. Its not the right silver, no thats true but the justice lords cowl is a dark grey so it may be serviceable, its just a dark grey batman style cape that would be the trouble if someone wanted to make that..
  4. 2am on the 7th january in the UK according to the UK teaser. So tomorrow very, very early morning. The Ant man trailer this is..
  5. Thats a tad rude, nobody has said anything remotely childish, we are merely speculating on what the set may be like, there is no news currently and this is first a foremost a forum for news AND discussion so i see no harm in discussing the possiblities. It is bound to get stale as there is no real news on the helicarrier til its revealed but people like to speculate, they have a right to express their opinions just as you have a right to express yours. Criticising the fact that people are stating their opinions on what they want to see will just cause unneeded tension surely. Hopefully soon lego will unveil the helicarrier and we'll have concrete discussion topics.
  6. I agree with this, we've seen almost the entire helicarrier layout in both of the films that have featured them, plus i doubt it'll be as thin as the star destroyer, if you compare the two one is an almost blade thin design with a very shallow underside, then the helicarrier has a much deeper underside and cross section that is curved but wider and deeper underneath and on top. I could certainly see the deeper and wider shape being utilized for a room or two. Comparing the two is slightly hard as they are certainly quite different shapes and have different depths. the bottom goes even deeper with a cilindrical part extending beneath like a dome (in avengers 1 this is where the flight deck is, In cap 2 its slightly larger and more curved and houses the guidance control deck) See the two: Avengers: http://2.bp.blogspot...snap-326067.png Winter Soldier: http://www.cinemable..._1397076232.jpg My point is in the Star Wars films all you see of the inside is the corridors, darth vader's strange hologram room and the bridge. Now the bridge is an iconic and recognisable location. In Avengers we saw the flight deck, Loki's cell, the hangar bay, the lab, the storage room. Obviously Lego would cherry pick important events from this list maybe The flight deck, loki's cell and the lab. The point is that far more of the rooms in The helicarrier are play-friendly and recognisable than the grey corridors leading to grey room after grey room of the executor, which is why they only did the command bridge. If they included Loki's cell you'd expect Coulson's gun to be included with him and for Loki to be included for someone to put in the cell, the command bridge really only needs nick and hill. If they wanted to make this a set to remember to pay tribute to the most iconic marvel movie location then i think its would be a good idea to include 7 plus figures. I mean look at Arkham Asylum, far less expensive and yet includes 8 figures. The reason for the tumbler only having two is perfectly stated in your comment as its a vehicle, this however is a command centre in the sky, it in reality has hundreds of people crew it, in lego you'd hope they'd remember that, it most likely won't happen but it would be nice if it had as many as ewok villiage. Failing that i think Arkham's number is fair for the price, if its only 5 then its only 5 we'll just have to see. I mean Orthanc was a UCS but that had quite a few rooms. It only had 5 figures but compared to this it was remarkably cheaper at £179.99.
  7. In the pictures we have now seen, sadly thor's hair is the same and he has no leg printing but oh well, Scarlet witch is in the hulk-buster, quicksilver is in the hydra fortress heist. Thats a £29.99 set and a £39.99 set. So not too bad, the hydra fortress one may end up as an exclusive to a retailer though by the look of it. The largest set is the quinjet and that includes three exclusive figures and 2 ones that are in another set each. Not too bad.
  8. On the contrary figure wise and scenario wise MOS was 100 percent accurate, all three scenes depicted in the sets transpired in the movie, Superman, Zod, Lois, Col Hardy, Faora Ul were all very accurate to their movie counterparts. The only character not accurate was Tor An who only appeared near the beginning of the movie and was beaten down by Jor El (who also got a reasonably accurate figure, wrong hair and no armour withstanding). The Pod lois drops in was accurate, the car than hardy drives, the kryptonian dropship, Superman slams zod with that car in the final action sequence. I do wish we'd have got a krypton set though, with the gunships attacking Jor El's sanctuary lab, it could've included Zod (krypton armour), Jor El (krypton armour), Lara, Baby kal el and 2 of zod's armoured soldiers. The set could consist of the lab with the outside with the circular door and have a half dome facade, inside there could be the pod of superman suspended on a feature that lets you launch it into the air Zod's Gunship, Jor El's space dragon thing, and a control panel for lara, i'm thinking similar sort of look to the count Dooku vs Yoda set but with a large circular front facade with the hope symbol exploding door. Could have been like £50, would've made a nice booster. Iron Man 3 was all sorts of bad, Wrong main villain, two vehicles and scenarios that didn't appear in the movie, war machine instead of patriot, The only saving graces were the Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, the 2 iron man armors, the dum-e droid and Killian (that glow in the dark face was a terrible choice though, i'd have preferred a normal flesh one with a orange markings one on the back. Really that whole wave should've been rejigged as it was the only movie line of the year. Malibu lab: keep the same, it worked as a playset, maybe change out the extremis dude for eric savin Tennessee Brawl £34.99 includes Tony Stark (Tennessee outfit), Eric Savin (leather jacket with flesh head and one side of face with orange extremis markings), Brandt (same case as savin) and Harley. Set Includes Water tower with collapsing feature, cafe with exploding feature and a silver car for tony. Miami Mansion escape £50 set includes mansion facade with two levels, the bottom level includes a lab/ basement with a table with restraints to clip Tony to, a large breaking window and a computer desk with computer, some steps lead up to the main level, this level includes Kilian's office, Mandarin broadcast room with cameras and a small room with the iron patriot armour withstrained by chains. Figures include: Aldrich Killian (jacket and shirt likethe one we got, except with a flesh face with orange fire like markings and an angry face on the other side of his face), Tony stark (hoodie and aim t shirt, wearing one glove of the armour and one leg of the armour), Iron Man MK42 (same as one we got), Iron patriot (with col rhodes head), Mandarin (with sunglasses) and one henchman. Airforce 1 rescue £70 incudes lego airforce 1 plane with an opening feature to reveal 2 rooms, and with exploding features, minfigures include: Battle Damaged Mk42, Eric savin (Guard disguise), Iron Patriot, The president, 2 agents and a stewardess. £100 Seaport Battle Set consists of large seaport playset with control deck, cranes, catwalks and lots of exploding and breaking features. Figures include Tony Stark (hoodie open with aim t shirt and soot and a scar on his face like the newest hobbit bard figure), Col Rhodes, iron Man Heartbreaker, Pepper potts (tank top with extremis markings), Eric savin (shirtless with extremis markings), Igor Armour (brickbuilt mech like the hulkbuster), centurion armour (silver and red), silver armour with no mouth markings, The black and god spiky armour. Then again they should've just done Thor 2 sets in my opinion as it was a far more interesting movie set potential wise to me. They could've done the asgard palace as a £130 set, the london clash, the battle of Vanaheim, the escape from asgard, Malekith's warship, dark elf ships, asgardian ships, the bifrost bridge observatory. Malekith, Thor, heimdal, Jane, sif, dark elves, asgardians, odin, the warriors 3, eric selvig. Shame, that if anything was a missed opportunity set wise. Same with cap 2, there could have been some cool sets for that too. I think the most accurate wave of sets so far superhero wise are this year's avengers sets and last years guardians sets.
  9. I don't understand, WB let Lego make a Bane figure back in 2013: http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120713180503/lego/images/6/67/BaneFig1.PNG
  10. Wow........really Lego..is that really the best you could do for the Blu Ray release of the FINAL middle earth movie...another boring variation of Bard's son...THAT DOESN'T EVEN APPEAR IN THE FILM IN QUESTION (thats a desolation of smaug costume variant). Still we are denied a Bolg (the secondary antagonist of BO5A), an Old Bilbo (the protagonist of the whole trilogy) and Sauron (only the main antagonist of all six films) and you choose one of the most unimportant characters of the trilogy that you have already made a figure of..... did they just pull names out of a hat or said "Right the Blu ray of that film we couldn't care less about is coming up which character can we reprint, repaint and pass off as new" really they should have seen the gap that Bolg (a pretty important and central part of the film) had left and made the deduction that we wouldn't want an incomplete collection.
  11. I hope it at least has: Nick Fury (MCU), Maria Hill, Agent Coulson and Bruce banner, but for that price it should really be like a tribute set to the MCU so far like the death star was: Include somewhat of an interior like the bridge/control room but ideally, The Loki prison cell and Banner's Lab also. Figure wise for a set of its price range (i thought the figure selection in the ISD and the tumbler was appalling for such an enormous price) should be more like Ewok village or sand-crawler: Nick Fury, Agent Coulson (with destroyer cannon), Maria Hill, Bruce Banner, Loki (new hair and a different facial expression, backside of head with mouth muzzle), Captain America (WW2 or stealth WS suit), Falcon (MCU), 2 strike troopers and 2 shield troopers. That would be a nice merge of Loki's attack and Shield vs Strike, if they really wanted to impress they could include an exclusive version of winter soldier without mouth guard and with shadows around the eyes, Black widow (brown leather jacket Avengers), Thor (flesh arms and casual Armour), Battle damaged Mk 6 Iron man Armour, Hawkeye (same face and hair as AOU but torso and legs the plain black gear he wore when attacking the helicarrier) and Hulk. Thats unlikely to happen but wouldn't that be cool. Its not a missed opportunity if it doesn't have a load of figures but really it'd be disappointing if its only 2 or 3 and the interior isn't usable, i mean the ISD at least had 5 figures and tried to include the interior, the sand crawler had a decent interior and a decent amount of figures, the slave 1 has about 5 and has a minifigure accessible interior, the sea cow is the same. The tumbler in my opinion was a misstep as people have wanted an accurate minifigure compatible dark knight tumbler for a long time and what they got was a very accurate ridiculously over sized and unsuitable for figures, black tank and a couple of very exclusive, expensive, desirable figures. They might as well have made a proper system set with those two figures rather than shoehorning them into a set that was made without figures in mind. As i say I hope the Helicarrier doesn't fall into this trap. Then again if it does and is just a model with 2-3 figures it'll save my money for the myriad of figures and fantastic sets heading our way with AOU.
  12. Good grief: http://shop.lego.com/ looks like the shop is experiencing even more troubles. Maybe when it comes back up it'll hopefully have the 2015 Dc sets on the Uk store?
  13. Yeah the second one is the best choice I reckon!
  14. No luck in Smyths today, guess i'll wait for Lego shop uk to get its titanic rear into gear!
  15. Personally on the matter of the Killer Croc set, i doubt we'd get another nightwing so soon. I'm gonna speculate that depending on the price it could either be: Bat-Boat, bit of harbor maybe with the outside of a sewer tunnel for Killer Croc to stand in front of, i think this might even be based on a scene from Lego Batman 3 where Robin and Bats chase croc into the sewer. I think most likely figure wise we'd get Batman (duh), Bigfig Croc and either another hero we don't have or maybe another villain from the new game (that and the new animated bizarro movie appears to be where all the sets inspiration is coming from) like firefly or cheetah. Jokerland wise i'm not sure what to expect. If its a big set it might be like a huge fairground with lots of deadly rides and maybe with like a lair for the villains. It might be like a villain set with Joker (without hat? or another new design), Lex luthor (Armoured but with the chestpiece and a different expression to others), Solomon Grundy (big fig lego batman 3), Harley Quinn maybe? Then hero wise obviously Batman, maybe new 52 superman from the game, On the topic of deathstroke do you guys think we'll get this version in the set we are supposedly getting him in: http://static.comicv...deathstroke.jpg cause that'd be sweet! then again, i think i prefer the unlockable ingame non DLC design as he has the ammo belt:
  16. On that we are agreed! ;)
  17. Wow that is quite a way (from here anyway), my nearest is stratford i guess but i'd rather wait for a closer source or website than Journey all the way over there on the off-chance they have any.
  18. If only Colchester had a Lego store nearby. I guess i'll wait for shop@home. Maybe Smyths up at tollgate might have the new sets soon as they had the marvel and Dc sets instore last year before Lego released them online.
  19. Yeah but they say for dispatch in 3-5 weeks which probably means they are still waiting from stock from lego. Good to see the prices though, not too bad, gorilla grodd seems a bit pricey considering the USD price is 39.99, Javelin is good though price wise.
  20. Hope the new sets aren't too late in the Uk. Maybe it'll be later in the day or tomorrow when they come up on lego shop for over here. Star wars sets are also MIA on Uk shop at home surprisingly. Odd that.
  21. Marvel: Milano HANDS DOWN, The best marvel set we've had out of the three years we've had the line so far. Great exclusive figures, amazing printing and molding, a fantastic looking ship that looks identical to source material with the best interior we've had yet in a marvel vehicle. The quinjet next year will have to have a decent interior if it wants to even match this. DC: Riddler Chase: Awesome minfigures, a great intimidating new version of the bat mobile and the first ever Lego Flash Appearance.
  22. Just a thought ladies and gents, i haven't got the sets yet but I've noticed people have been putting the capes on left flap over right flap under the neck whereas the instructions say to the contrary as is the normal practice for all Lego sets prior with capes, i'd wager that if as the instructions suggest putting the cape across right flap over left will give you a better visual asthetic, as I've seen a review where someone did it with Batman and superman and it looked far better than the other photos and videos I've seen and it looks almost like the old capes but thicker. Obviously they are still thick and bendy but i'd wager that you'll get a better result if you put it on the neck right flap over left. I'd say the back wouldn't ride up so much if its tried that way. It won't improve the fact that they feel cheaper but the neckline might look a tad more even. Just a thought, i'll give it a shot when i can find one of the sets. I should think they'll be on lego .com tomorrow as they have the same timeframe on release as the Lego movie sets which are up for pre order on the Uk one. If they do come up i know what website i'll jump on tomorow. Does anyone know the UK prices BTW?
  23. On another note for those wondering why the red axe and no cape on dain and the axes being colored, i think this video will be specially enlightening especially at 0:32
  24. From the synopsis it seems Cross wants Pym's company and tech for nefarious purposes perhaps to create his own aka that suit. Just speculation based on the snyopsis. Either way i speculate in the antman set we may see Antman (lang), Hope van dyne, Hank Pym and Cross's yellowjacket? That'd be cool. I like the look of both costumes but wonder if hope will don her own costume as that generations wasp, intrugingly in an interview Evangeline lily mentions her character in the movie was "Raised by two superheroes" she also says that in the movie that "My parents were the founding members of the original avengers". Could this suggest a secret original avengers team maybe in the older days as Pym is old in this film and may be perhaps retired from being ant man looking for someone to take up the mantle? http://comicbook.com/2014/12/19/did-evangeline-lilly-just-hint-at-an-earlier-version-of-the-aven/ if this is true this could be an interesting development.
  25. After re-watching the Winter Soldier movie i am 100 percent sure that the figure is based off the movie. The torso printing of the costume is pretty much 100 percent accurate to the film version and for those puzzling about why WS isn't wearing the movie bullet-resistant goggles with the mask, that's because its based off the part of the movie where black widow shoots at him and hits one of the goggle eyepieces, causing him to discard the goggles as he pursues her, he stays this way (with only the mouth mask piece) til cap flips him into the air and it falls off unmasking him. The backside of the face appears to be an option just in case comic book enthusiasts wanted to use this WS as the comic one as the torso would work for both movie and classic despite the fact that it is movie based. I for one can't wait for this promo, WS looks awesome in lego form and its very nice to see him in a polybag through lego shop as he is perhaps one of the best antagonists of the movies so far and it was disappointing that he was missed. Pretty much this: http://www.albionple...relt79_1_12.jpg Its clearly based on the movie design but the belt is brown rather than black so it makes it usable for a classic one, the vest is the same template but the bits that go across the chest are dark grey rather than black, probably so they show up better with the other black elements. The brown straps and grey armour designs may have in fact come from concept art such as this: http://juststopscrea...ter-Soldier.png
