I'm looking forward to seeing the final throne room tomorow and the new Vader helmet as that looks intriguing, plus the tydirium system scale set sounds cool! I'm actually very glad wer'e getting theese two this year as we haven't had a system scale Imperial Shuttle in a while nor a throne room set. Another thing, looking at the duel set image we have seen, palpatine has a different facial expression to the book. The book he has a smile and a grimace, here he has a frown and closed mouth, perhaps thats how lego will justify repackaging him with this set, making this variant exclusive?

Exactly, so it may even be done for all we know. If we did see it it would be cool, but i'm not getting my hopes up. Thankfully theres already some awesome stuff there in the form of the marvel, Dc, star wars and jurassic world sets, it would be nice if doctor who shows up too but its not the end of the world if it doesn't.

Hmmm....well: http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/lego-systems-debuts-largest-ever-collection-of-building-sets-to-inspire-builders-of-all-ages-at-american-international-toy-fair-300035121.html the trademark of Big Bang Theory is included at the bottom with all the others, just under doctor who. So thats something.

I suppose there is always the possibility that TLG and BBC have already been working out the set based on that idea as it was 2 reviews ago as someone rightly said. Perhaps the BBC and Lego knew long before they announced it officially and have been working out the set in secret based on that concept by Andrew Clarke. Possible, unlikely we'll see it at the Toy Fair but if we did...if they've been working on this for a year....then it could potentially be something very cool. I'm not getting hopes up but it could be the case. It also mentions that big bang theory trademark, which is another Ideas set is it not? Which has been in the works since last year, maybe they've finished both and are showing them off in a sort of "Look at all the big hitting licenses we have".

Put Black hair like the one in the Tower set one one of them and take off the helmet, then that gives you a variant. Then again that only works for one i suppose. Its like with the Thor Figures in the 2012 sets and the polybag, what you can do is make three variants with ease, Take one's grey arms off and put flesh arms on and you have the Thor vs Iron Man variant, Do the same with another but take off the cape and you have the hulk vs Thor/casual helicarrier version. Then in the end you have three Thor variants including the armoured arms one. I'd imagine the new thor would look good with flesh arms, i'd be interested to see that if people get more than one thor, i may do that myself, just like with the 2012 loki, i took one helmet off and added black tousled hair like the Lego Avengers shorts have on youtube. Heck take away the staff and add a knife and you have the TDW variant. Theres lots you can do if you get a variant of something just by changing arms, accessories, hair. Lego have practically given us instructions of how to make our own official helmetless cap by showing that its obi wan's face and starlord colour hair. You could even use the 2011 young Obi Wan head for even more expressions. -

Could be? But what could justify that price tag in a brand new theme for lego and marvel movie wise. I mean its a bit of a risk making the flagship system set of the year an ant man one isn't it? Unless its another AOU set. Or a big marvel set they've been keeping hidden for a while. -

Then why list them seperately with star wars in the middle of the two then? Its even under a separate sub category Licensed themes 5+, whereas marvel is under the Disney subcategory along with star wars. -

They wouldn't list it as marvel, they already make reference to the "2 Batman sets" in the DC part. Maybe lego has something marvel hidden up their sleeve.. -

Thats odd: http://www.prnewswir...-300035121.html the marvel sets press release states: "sets range from $12.99 to $119.99" I wonder what marvel set possibly demands $119.99, not any of the ones we have seen so far, thats for sure, are there more that we are unaware of? It also says in regards to each Avengers Age of Ultron and Ant Man, sets! Plural, is there another ant man or other marvel set in the summer that we don't know about? I mean the whole $119.99 doesn't add up, as all the avengers age of ultron sets are under 100, i was under the impression also that the spider man sets prices have been confirmed as $40 and $13. So what costs $119.99, what could warrant that, The Ant Man set? -

One of the arms must be as well, as WS has a robotic printed silver arm on the polybag image. -

I have to say i think in this scale, they've handled the building pretty well, aesthetically it looks nice and accurate to the basic look of the building in the movie. Play feature wise it has a lot going for it. It has an interior which accommodates a fair amount of things. I'd say this accomplishes more in this scale than Malibu mansion or Daily Bugle as it just feels fuller and has more to it. -

Just2good: am I right in thinking that the new Thor Hammer is silver rather than grey, cause it looks kind of metallic next to the older one but i can't tell, if so thats great. Yep from the pictures it really looks Pear Silver like the Orb from guardians compared to the grey hammer i own from the Avengers sets, cool. -

I'm pretty sure empire magazine said the party scene is after the hydra scene but later on. Thats what i read in the AOU special edition issue, So Mk1 is probably the first ultron, the hulkbuster thing happens later as its a completely different location to the hydra fortress. On topic i reckon Prime is the form from the EW cover, it makes the most sense,as the figure torso and legs is close to the drone's designs, i reckon they just gave them all round eyes for an unknown reason. Perhaps the reason the MK1 is so damaged is because Tony uses him and the drones in the Strucker sequence, that would be a good way to introduce him into the plot. -
Has anyone else noticed that the regular axe that sits on the wall in the Erebor set is more accurate to Dwalin's Axe in the BO5A? Plus the gold and green one looks nice up there as it looks more of a decorative piece than the normal one. Has anyone tried using parts to make an extension to the set with the barricade or front gate of Erebor? I think had they done more sets a set like that would've been great, it could have had the gate but it could have had a destruction feature where you can rebuild it into the barricade then swing the bell through it. I thinkt'd be great if someone built that barricade to add on to the lonely mountain set, I actually wishlego would've realised its importance in BO5A and included that as part of Erebor as the price was quite vast and that would have made it more worth it. Not that i'm complaining, I actually really love the Erebor set they came up with, it looks great especially with all the dwarves and Smaug in it. I've collected he entire range now... bar one set which seems devilishly hard to track down in the UK, Lake-Town Chase! It's annoying cause that's the only set with The Master of Laketown, Smirking Bard, Lake Town Guard and ragged Thorin. Plus I've seen people do displays of the two lake town sets set up with smaug attacking.

Impossible, the Ultron Prime figure's chest doesn't match the picture I posted, its the wrong shade of sliver, the markings on the head are not the same, the armour printing on the torso the plates look different. I suspect this is neither of those ultrons. I think this may be a middle ultron. Like after the prototype his first full form, then when he upgrades to ultimate ultron his strength is at its fullest as is his design. Lego must've just got names mixed up cause it appears the most prominment version is called "Ultron Prime" http://moviepilot.com/posts/2015/02/11/hot-toys-shows-off-ultron-prime-2683248?lt_source=external,manual Its odd though as some of the ultron orime figure matches this one but some of it doesn't and some of the Ultimate one matches this one and some of it doesn't. Its a bit perplexing really AH HA! another piece of the puzzle, the drones have the similar torso torso as the Ultron prime figure and are the same colour suggesting that all four are based on the EW cover versions, as that's the only blue drones and red Ultron styled like that we have seen. plus you can't see the EW cover's ultron torso so it doesn't necessarily share the same design as the drones, like the figure it could be slightly different as we can only see where the plating connects at the top and the basic idea that its not fully plated and dark silver which matches the Ultron Prime figure as he has a lot of exposed panels, compared to the final ultron which is assume that hot toys figure is the basis of. I reckon as I say lego got the name tags mixed up. In fact if you look closely on the Ew picture: http://rack.2.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyMDE0LzA3LzIyLzU1L0F2ZW5nZXJzLkFnLjg2YTQ3LmpwZwpwCXRodW1iCTk1MHg1MzQjCmUJanBn/895155f1/399/Avengers.Age_.Of_.Ultron.HP_.jpg you can see the red discs meeting in the middle of the upper chest like the lego dark sliver version. -

WOW, black widow's hairpiece is far better in the final set, far less stuck out at sides and far more accurate to the two films, i like the look in the back of the instruction manual at the AOU stuff and i think thats our first clear up close (non drawn) look at the final ultron figure, which looks awesome! One thing though, on closer look at the official images, Ultron's helmet is printed with the lines and markings that appear in the lego magazine comic and judging by that torso i'd say this is the version that claims "There are no strongs on me" or the main version in the trailer. Its almost a dead ringer for this: http://imageserver.moviepilot.com/even-more-awesome-age-of-ultron-promo-art-87921db6-392d-45c7-a503-002a9d6503f4.jpeg?width=1054&height=1641 however still no idea which version "Ultron Prime" is based on i'm gonna guess it might be the entertainment weekly cover but with circle eyes as it soesn't have the final ones round head. -

Oh...yeah i can see it just! Thats pretty cool. -
I'd imagine we'd see doctor who this year considering that its a significant year for the show, not as significant as the 50th but ten years since its return to television and still going strong. This could be one of bbc's way of celebrating that merch wise, only time will tell.

OK, here is my final idea if they wanted just to go with new series: I got a great idea for what would be cool in Lego's doctor who set. Now i suspect they will go new series with this set to start off the hype and hopefully a wave of sets and if they do thats fine as its relevant to their audience i think maybe something like this would work: 3 most recent Tardis Exteriors in show scale with the doctor figures: John Hurt "The War Doctor"'s the 11th/12th Doctor's, 10th.9th doctor's. Also included are cardboard printed slips to represent the interior of each machine which can be changed like with 11/12's one of them can be 11;s first Tardis, the other 11;s second and one of them 12's. all 5 new era Doctors (Including John Hurt) Rose, Donna, Amy and Clara. Accessories for each doctor 12: A Printed Black Board and a black hand with a spoon 11: An extra hairpiece with Fez on it, The Pandorica 10: The Timey Wimey detector, flat hairpiece, fighting Hand in a jar with sword. 9: Big Dalek-buster Gun, and the bomb from his first episode. War: Moment Box with pushing down diamond, No More wall and rifle. Price would be about £50 which is affordable for kids and adults but not too expensive. This would also commmorate the 10th anniversary of the show's triumphant return very well this year.

TBH it could go both ways depending on the size of the first set lego want to make. if its a smaller set say£20- £30 then i'd say it'll most likely be 12th Doctor, Clara, A gold Dalek, A series 7-8 cyberman and maybe missy so they can capitalise on the current series with the current variations of the three most iconic villains. £40-£50 maybe Some sort of interior/exterior combination like what is proposed with all 5 New series Doctors, Clara, Rose and a Dalek to Capitalise on Day Of The Doctor and series 8 as a whole. If they went REALLY big like £70-£120 then i'd say the interior of the tardis with all 13 doctors and some monsters. Depends really, i think the most likely is the £20-£30 range with capaldi and clara and three villains as 5 figures for £30 sounds about right looking at age of ultron sets, then again i'd love if they went like £40 and has the War Doctor-12th Doctor, Rose, Clara and a Dalek as sort of a tie in to recent who and the 50th. Just my two cents. Either way i think the figures are gonna look great, especially if that capaldi figure face is real BBC or lego rendering. On that front it says nowhere on the announcement that either image is fan art, it mentions the set idea as a fan concept but the eyes pictures have nothing saying they aren't official on them and cosidering that on the face book page one the image is lit like the DOTD shot with the green lighting it probably suggests a capaldi figure in the final set.

Doctor Who has millions of followers around the world, the anniversary episode was broadcast in 94 countries simultaneously, it took in 10 million pounds in the UK box-office alone and thats just one performance in every cinema at the same time. Around the world it was shown in more than 1,500 cinemas. Its estimated to have been watched by over 80 million people worldwide that night alone. In the USA 10,000 tickets for the cinema screenings were sold out in 28 minutes flat. The ammount of merchandise sold worldwide is jaw dropping for a tv show. The cinema takings apparently worldwide were akin to the amount that a blockbuster film makes in its opening weekend worldwide. 2,400 people of different countries attended the sold out fan celebration in london in 2013. So it may not be as large as star wars but it is HUGELY popular, probably the most watched Tv programme in the most countries around the world. It was subtitled or dubbed into 15 different languages. Going on this information i think its very likely due to the response it gets and its nature of continuing far longer than any movie franchise (other than bond), i mean when all those movie franchises have met their end, there will still be doctor who as it never stops it just changes and reinvents itself, actors change, sets change, visuals change, stories change and it endures. If thats not a potential monumental moneymaker for TLG i don't know what is.

Indeed, the point is clear though, the potential is infinite if they play their cards right.
