  1. I'm sorry if it comes across as a bit of a moan but its just a bit annoying how they do this so well on Star wars, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, MOS, Avengers, Pirates Of The Caribbean HECK even the Lone Ranger but they still revert back to recycling heads on Ant Man and possibly by the looks of it BVS. Sorry for the rant.
  2. Better picture of the Batmobile set: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8CD7p_O6Vgs/VZafZEVdQ5I/AAAAAAAAqUI/lAC1jqLxPRA/s1600/San%2BDiego%2BComic-Con%2B2015%2BFirst%2BLook%2B-%2BLEGO%2BDC%2BSuper%2BHeroes%2BBatman%2Bv%2BSuperman%2BDawn%2Bof%2BJustice%2BBatmobile%2BSet.jpg Looks like no stubble on batman at least in this CG image, some sort of fabric design on his torso which looks accurate. I'm not sure about the yellow belt, i'm hoping its darker gold on the physical figure, I was really hoping for darker actual eyes for this version as he's the Batman of DCCU and using the white eyes makes him look a bit too similar to other batman figures. What I liked about the Batman Begins one that was in the tumbler was that it had a unique face, if we're just stuck with the usual bruce wayne head for Affleck then that's very disappointing as Affleck looks nothing like the superheroes head, he's far more bestubbled and his face is very different, I hope this is only for the CG image like a placeholder and that if we get a batcave it'll come with an Affleck bruce wayne or at least an interchangeable head for the batsuit. If they go the ant man route and just use recycled heads for bruce and lex that'll be a real cop out. The bruce wayne head works for bale's version as he was clean shaven and chiselled, in fact i'd argue that the bruce wayne head was based on bale as was the hair, either way I hope they don't just reuse it for Affleck.
  3. Odd I could've sworn I read somewhere that Luke alongside another lightsaber wielder duels Ren, oh well guess we'll find out in December or in the next trailers/tv spots possibly. Either way i'd be surprised if lego didn't include Luke in this wave.
  4. I reckon Luke will show up in a set that ren is in possibly, as its rumoured that the two have a spectacular lightsaber duel in a snowy forest.
  5. That's a great idea, maybe with the bat signal as the main build of the set with some sort of destruction feature perhaps, kind of like what they did with MOS's smallest set: two main combatants and something for their battle to destroy, the bat signal we've seen in the latest photo would make PERFECT sense here.
  6. Personally I reckon it'll be Wonder Woman and whoever the enemy is, unless this depicts a Batman V Wonder Woman chase/standoff, then maybe Alfred, but I have a feeling Lego will make a new cave for BVS. It's been 3 years since their last cave and they aren't doing another comic book one cause its still what they use in games/DTVs. It would make sense to have a new cave set for BVS, assuming something actually happens there. I mean TMNT's movie got a huge turtle lair playset despite the fact a year before there had just been a comic book/animated one, something on that scale for the batcave would be cool for a movie set. Say what you like about the TMNT movie, but that turtle lair is really cool and nicely detailed and has a great price point for its size and has a lovely amount of figures.
  7. We still know so little about the film, we have no idea what this "new threat" is, no idea of all the locations this film might take place, no idea of what scenes there will be in the film apart from the obvious showdown. I mean that early teaser trailer showed barely anything just like the MOS teaser trailer. I don't know how many BVS sets they will make but I'd guess at least 3 or 4, at most 6.
  8. On another topic, I wonder if MCU's Hope Van Dyne will be one of the exclusive characters given away at SDCC somewhat in the vein of The Collector last year. Would make sense as it would be publicising a marvel movie and its a figure that's not in the Ant Man set, strange thing not to include if you ask me as they could've reused the tauriel head and changed eyebrows to black and used the hairpiece from Claire Dearing in Dark Brown/Black and for what comes in the set another figure would have made the value for money better and given us the four principal characters. However I suppose its not a big loss as she might appear in future films and maybe future sets. Who knows i'm hoping no exclusives that we really badly want cause two years prior to this Spider-man was a gut punch.
  9. Thats bizarre, answer me this: why does clicking your link take me to my twitter page?
  10. Liking that Bat mobile! Very Burton-esque, with the low headlights and the tube on the front and in the overall shape, sadly probably the closest we will get to a Burton version. Still, thats a brilliant homage, especially in the way the cockpit and front are designed. Even if the cockpit is squarer than Burton's it is in the same place and has the same sort of top. I wasn't too sure about jokerland but now i've seen more images of the figures and features of the set it seems like a good one to have, so i'll probably pick it up, as i never got the tuxeedo penguin as i never got arkham and i never got Harley as i didn't end up getting the funhouse, it looks like Joker has new hat syndrome, or rather hair as i suppose its a variant of the new suit not with a hat, wish they'd at least given poison ivy a new variant, i'm not that familiar with Best Boy or Starfire but they look cool, and the new Batman with printed legs and the robin figures look excellent. So really we've had four different system scale designs of the bat-mobile now: the first 2 of which seem inspired by many variations, and the more recent 2 which seem based of the "Beware" batmobile and the "Burton" Batmobile. Then hopefully in 2016 we'll get the "Snyder" bat-mobile. Shame there is no system scale tumbler but oh well.
  11. Just a clarification for anyone who wondered but i'm almost 100 percent sure that this new Harley Quinn from the Jokerland set is heavily based on the one that appeared in 2014's assault on Arkham animated film variant, the bobble hat rather than hair is something thats unique to that film in that colour and the costume is almost identical: http://i.imgur.com/p...m/p72DHUZ.jpg Of course some alterations have been made like having the costume cover her lower torso
  12. Any chance of sets next year based on this?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MubNoWQiSc looks like it has potential to be quite a large thing for DC, plus lots of characters and scenarios to choose from!
  13. https://36.media.tum...1ok9so1_500.jpg series 9 it does. Maybe they got the idea from that. Plus thats just the CG manip, in the real figure you can see its far lower.
  14. They've butchered Hank Pym in that set, they didn't even print a beard or reuse a bearded head, thats plain laziness, thats how they treat one if the first Superheroes chronologically in the MCU, after Captain America, abysmal!
  15. I never said it was what was happening, i said it would be cool if.
  16. So do any of you reckon Sainsbury/target will get an exclusive figure for AOU's Blu Ray? Here are my ideas for what if this did happen we could get: Ultron Drone (Red) just a simple printing recolor but nice to have, pretty easy for Lego to make. Final Ultron: Again just some new printing for torso and silver like Ultimate but with dark sliver print and this time have it have a head with red eyes and mouth and use the helmet from the Iron Man vs Ultron set and have a neck piece like Lego's "Ultimate Ultron". Thor: Sleeveless, flesh arms instead of gunmetal silver, simple and doesn't require new molds and creates a variant, maybe they could print the wrist metal things but that doubtful. Bruce Banner: A long sought after person, who is front and centre in this film. Hawkeye: reuse the Avengers 1 torso and legs, add the brown sleepyhead hair and have him have the hydra chase head. Cheap to make just a parts reshuffle. The Cap without helmet from the helicarrier. Any of theese would make cool Blu Ray add on figures. Plus all would be relatively easy to do, new printing on some, but no new molds. I hope not, it would be sad if we didn't get a June promo figure this year, we've had one every year since like 2012. The second hand prices for Winter Soldier are vomit worthy, at people's greed. £30 plus, for something intended to be a free? Disgusting. I hope we get the promo over here too.
  17. I hope and reckon that it will be available here with purchases of over £50 too? I mean its only been available with the helicarrier purchases everywhere so far so surely this more open promo will apply here too? I'd be sorely disappointed in Lego if it was only available to the USA, its not usually their way with this sort of Promo, Jor El was available here in June 2013, The Hulk in 2012, Then MM in march last year as there were no DC movies to publicise in June. So i don't see why Winter Soldier would be any different, keep in mind we have not yet seen the UK June calendar.
  18. Yeah James bond would be awesome! Also do Sherlock Holmes (either classic or BBC Sherlock) and then we'd have the whole set of British heroes: Potter, Doctor, Bond and Holmes. Pity they aren't already doing bond with Spectre coming along now, they could do like a set for each bond actor in a recap wave, then they could do Spectre sets! That'd be cool! Another cool one that could work off the top of my head: Mission Impossible.
  19. I agree, they bear resemblance to the actors anyway. Hopefully hank has a new head though as he'd be really inaccurate with gandalf's.
  20. i just hope Hank Pym doesn't have Gandalf's head, the fact that that was even used for a prelim is just strange, Pym has a very distinct beard and Mckellen looks nothing like Michael Douglas. The Ezra head for Scott Lang is alright as it bears resemblence to him. The yellowjacket head, i mean Darren cross is a bald guy with cheekbones, what else could they have done? Not 100 percent on the mask, i think it should cover the mouth a bit better perhaps, but otherwise accurate and a nice design.
  21. Well, thats odd, cause Character and underground toys make Daleks by the second in both action figure and minifigure form...thats construction sets too so I don't see where the issue would lie. Daleks are all-over BBC merchandise.
  22. I really am reckoning it will be capaldi based to begin with if they are testing the waters with one before a fully fledged theme. The trailer features his vortex, logo, theme and face (well half of it), he's now entering his second series as The Doctor which the BBC would want to publicize. I would imagine it would be similar to the ideas project with Capaldi, Clara, A Dalek, A Cyberman and maybe another villain, the weeping angels seem unlikely right now as they haven't appeared since 2012, perhaps due to her involvement in Seasons 8 and 9: Missy as she is the latest incarnation of the doctor's nemesis. That would technically mean we'd have the big three, The latest doctor and his companion in one set. Then that would mean if it didn't prove as popular to make an entire wave, whovians would still have one definitive set to commemorate the popularity and endurance of Doctor Who in modern times. I personally can't wait to put the likes of capaldi, the daleks e.t.c alongside the avengers, the fellowship, darth vader e.t.c.
  23. My mistake. I thought it was a more recent development.
  24. The video being released today of all days is no accident. I wouldn't be surprised if Lego are starting with the revival this year to honor the anniversary of the 10 years since doctor who returned. I reckon capaldi judging by that video will be the subject of the first set as it has both his theme, vortex and face in that video. I reckon though it may be more than just an ideas set, notice in that teaser the ideas logo is strangely absent, yet the BBC and Lego logos are ever present. I wouldn't be surprised if this is in fact a launcher for a long line of multiple sets starting this year. Its a very opportune time with the show currently heading into it's 9th series of the revival period and celebrating Ten years of success since the show returned whilst also now 2 years after its 50th anniversary. Other than 2013, interest in the show has never been higher.
  25. Why ever would you hate such a well designed figure? Accuracy wise it nails the appearance in the show, detail is incredible, the new saber handle is a nice touch. They've thought of everything even the clip on the back of the Armour which is actually in the show and even his helmet which appears for all of two seconds. The only thing i would say could be improved is the inclusion of maybe a single handled saber mould with only half the circular part which would make it easier to use only the one blade on the figure as the second handle interferes with the pose ability. Other than that i think the figure matches Darth Malgus quality and design wise. I can't fathom why anyone would hate it? To be honest i hope they cover a rebels Sidious if he shows up. I like the tan one which works well for ROTJ as the skin is much less flesh in that but we have no prequel or CW representation of Sidious which is a real pity cause i would have loved to see the Brown and dark blue costume featured in both to make an appearance with a flesh sidious like those two representations. I especially loved how he looked in clone wars with the robe and the really evil looking face with yellow eyes hidden under the hood. It is quite a pity we never got a sidious based on CW, maybe there is hope for a brown robed cartoon sidious in rebels or a ROTS yoda vs sidious fight set maybe?
