This is a brilliant train MOC, Captain green hair! It's very authentic - very well done! Klaus-Dieter

That's again a great vignette, Majek! I really it - especially the Western house in the background and the whole authentic atmosphere - brilliant! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for that information and for the pic, The Green Trooper! It's great to see TLG releasing sets which were created by their fans! The cars generally look nice. Regrettably they are way too big with their six stucks. You regrettably can see in the Custom Cars set that TLG didn't change much on the artwork of the fan who designed it - and regrettably it consequently looks a bit . It would have been much better if TLG added a roller gate to the big garage. And I miss the lovely details which most of the time are part of official sets like tools, a coffee machine, ... At the moment I tend to not buy this set because of the reasons above, because of money reasons and since I already own the older version of it which I personally like much more. But I will finally judge after having seen more detailed pics. I personally would have prefered if TLG changed some things on this custom model - because it then would have looked much better! But for "City starters" which do only own few civilian cars (and generally very few civilian sets) yet it's surely a good idea to get some civilian cars and minifigs. Klaus-Dieter

Again a really nice idea, Justin! We already discussed several times that restaurants, shops and kiosks are really needed! I already posted in the Embassy subforum that as variety I really would like to see some old-fashioned buildings for the City theme. I mean: I'd like some City buildings (shops with apartments upstairs) in the design very similar to the nice CC styled buildings - but smaller and with typical City elements (open backwalls, nice interior, many minifigs, bycicle, car, ...). What do you think about that? Klaus-Dieter

We want the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant!

Nice - but who can afford to buy it for that utopian price?! Klaus-Dieter -

I totally agree with you, Mr. Brick! We really need City styled apartment houses! BTW: A propos apartment house: Then you perhaps like my latest MOC Modern Twin House which I created with the LDD (I added it to one of the forms for the City ideas for TLG, too - hopefully copmike did include it in the form since I wasn't aible to do that ). That's an awesome Wild West MOC, oo7! I really it: The outside is an excellent desgin. The interior is a bit spartanic - but nevertheless very nice, too (and TLG at the most time puts in very little interior, too ). I really like the covered waggon and the nice minifigs. Simply amazing! Very, very well done! BTW: Why don't you team up with TheBrickster and Brick Miner and then you go to TLG and say that you'll design the (hopefully real) new Wild West Factory sets?! I'm very sure that we then would get two excellent sets! Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for your comment, Dovchenko! I see that the most of you didn't like the official minifigs in my "Wild West Minifig Show". But there were two reasons why I wanted them to be included, too: -I hadn't/haven't got enough "custom" Western minifigs -I wanted to include official minifigs, too, since they really belong to the WW theme Perhaps now you might understand me better, perhaps even not - but that's not bad. BTW: Will there be someone who plans to do something like this "show", too? I really would like to see your custom minifigs, too. Klaus-Dieter
-
This is again a great MOC, Majek! I really like the scenery and the minifigs. And the Spanish/Mexican style looks very nice, too. Indeed some official Mexican styled Western sets would be very cool, too. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

I hope that the advent calendar will include a chimney and a black cat for the witch, a market stand and some vegetables for the medieval woman, a little prison for the dwarf and a bear barrel for the knight. I can't wait for more pics of the advent calendar. Klaus-Dieter

We want the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant!
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much, Crazydance! I signed in, too. Now that's really everything which we could do: Emails, telephone calls, forum topics and now that petition - if it doesn't work then I really don't comprehend the world anymore. Klaus-Dieter -
I hope that if TLG releases a new Pirate theme they use the old cannons from the older themes (but these which the shooting function) because they could be used for a new Wild West (Factory) set, too . And secondly it surely wouldn't look nice if they only use "cannons" like in the pics of the MOCs (which are nervertheless really nice) above. Oh, excuse me - and thanks a lot for down-sizing them! Klaus-Dieter
-
I totally agree with you, darthperson! And secondly: If these two accessory sets wouldn't be part of a new Lego Pirate theme it would be much to expensive and absurd to design a new signature. For me this is evidence enough that we'll see a new Pirate theme next year. And to TLG's capacity: Since legomilk mentioned that there'll be two new themes next year - why shouldn't there be room for a Pirate theme?! (It's very likely that Pirate and Space will be the two new themes.) But be aware that a/the new Pirate theme could be totally different to the classic Pirates themes: There might be big octopuses, big mutant sea creatures (like in the new Aquazone theme last year) and perhaps even ugly fantasy creatures (like in the new Castle theme ) which (could) destroy the whole new theme. But of course it can elsewise be and we'll get a very nice new Pirate theme with a lot of classic elements. Klaus-Dieter

I totally agree with you, CP5670! That's exactly which I wrote in my email to TLG, too: If this set is only for Vestas customers: I really doubt that there will be many Vestas customers who are interested in this awesome set. They surely won't throw it away, but selling it for hundreds of Euros/Dollars on ebay, BL, ... The people which then would get this brilliant set are only people with a lot of money or bosses of big companies - and I really don't think that the majority of them plays with Lego or collects Lego sets. Fact is that if TLG doesn't release this set for public I regrettably must they that they'd do one of the biggest - or even the biggest - mistake in their decisions during the whole time of Lego's existence. Many of us - me of course included - would pay a lot of money (not endless, but surely until 150 Euros) to get this excellent set because we really want it so much! So please TLG and Vestas release this set for the public! Klaus-Dieter

Hello Pirate fans! When browsing through BS I found the first possible new official Pirate (accesory) set: link link link link Many thanks to Whung in which gallery I found these pics! So I think this is enough evidence for that there'll be a new Pirate theme next year, isn't it?! Klaus-Dieter
-
It's already on ebay.de - but already now (auction is until Saturdy) it's about 300 Euros - so already now two times the price I'm aible and willing to pay! BTW: It would only have negative implications for Vestas and Lego if they don't sell this excellent set to the public - they would give away a lot of profit (TLG for the sets and Vestas probably for the licenses) and their popularity at their customers (mainly the popularity of TLG) would surely drop away. Klaus-Dieter
-
No, no, no - I want to buy the original set or nothing! BTW: It's strange: The instructions disappeared. So perhaps we won't have luck and it's really only a promo set for Vestas customers. (Perhaps TLG decided to show us the instructions that we can build it with own bricks ( ) but Vestas complained about this because they want this set to be really only in the hands of their customers. Nevertheless I don't hope so! I really want this set so much! I think it's now really time to let us know whether it'll be available for us, too, or not! Klaus-Dieter

We want the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant!
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for these links, Gouns! Whung already posted them in this topic - but that doesn't matter . Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for the links to the instructions, whung! Having seen these instructions, the set is even more awesome than when we only see the box pics of this brilliant set! It's simply perfect with the nice interior of the cottage, the terrace, the lovely landscape and of course the wind power plant itself! :oh: I really hope that TLG and Vestas now decided that this excellent set will be available for us, too! BTW: We shouln't hope against hope (Why should TLG publish instructions of this set if it is only a very limited promo set which even should be secret for the public until now? ). Klaus-Dieter

What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
Klaus-Dieter replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would very much like to see a new TV/Studios theme. I think that a new TV/Studios theme would be very welcome at JFOLs as well as at AFOLs: JFOLs today grow up with the TV - it's a part of their world and would be consequently as a Lego theme nearly as important for them as police, fire and construction. AFOLs would like these sets because they would add much more realism to their Lego cities. For both it would be a welcomed change to the "common" sets like fire, police and construstion. A new TV/Studios theme could be done in five different ways: 1. A redesign of the Studio theme with the possibility to make own movies. 2. A Studios theme - but with no possibility to make own movies. (meaning only scenery, minifigs, vehicles, cine cameras, technical equipment, ...) 3. A TV theme with news studio, broadcast van, ... 4. A mixture between 1 and 3. 5. A mixture between 2 and 3. I personally would like to see a mixture between 2 and 3 - but the TV is for me more important than the Studios theme. If something like a new TV/Studios will be hopefully released, I would prefer sets which aren't based on licences (meaning no Jurassic Park Studios sets and Spider Man Studios sets) because firstly they are/would be much more expensive tham non-licensed sets and because secondly non-licensed sets afford much more fantasy, creativity and playability. Klaus-Dieter -
It would be great to have a horse included in this brilliant advent calendar, hewkii9. But I really doubt it since TLG is at the most time thinking about how much playability a (part of a) set affords. And they supposably think that it would afford more playability to include a little prison, a treasure box, ... And there is the important point of costs - horses are very expensive. And there are the little 24 "molds" - I don't think that a horse would lack space in them. And for the skeletton horses I think it's the same. I personally think that if TLG included a horse in the advent calendar they would have put it on the box that everyone can see it immediately. - But of course nobody can know. Klaus-Dieter

Vote for the Lego Star Wars set of the year
Klaus-Dieter replied to Trudop561's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very interesting poll, Trudop561! I voted for 10188 Death Star: It's simply the best SW set ever - regrettably it's so expensive that I'm not aible to buy it. Since I'm a huge OT fan (and am only collecting OT sets, too) my second vote would go to 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder since it's a very nice set with some great new minifigs. (It's really a pity that there is missing one captain/commander/... - but apart from that it's great.) Klaus-Dieter -
That's an excellent idea, Justin! I really would like to see a comeback of the TV theme, too! On the one hand with the well tried sets like a camera van and a TV helicopter like you mentioned, Justin. On the other hand with some new sets like a TV station ( ) and a cable transmitter satellite dish like maiq the liar mentioned. And it's true: Kids would really like it because of its playability (and the most kids grow up with TV, so it's something "very important" and something which really belongs to their world like police, fire, ..., too) and AFOLs would like it in order to add more realism to their cities. (It's a shame that I didn't write this theme on one of the forms for new City themes and mailed it to Copmike. ) That's a very nice idea, too! I really would like to see another Main Street, too - but what about then with a shop instead of the car store? A new hotel is a must - in my eyes independant from whether we will get a new Main Street or not. BTW: Welcome to Eurobricks, Justin! Klaus-Dieter

4999 CG Platform is already available on S@H - and for Germany it'll be sold as a Vedes exclusive set around Christmas. As for the other sets: I thought that there will be some more Impulse sets for City and Castle (we already saw the pics). I regrettably fear that, too. But let's hope that TLG and Vestas have a heart of gold for us and let us buy this set! BTW: Someone is already selling this awesome set on Ebay.de. But it's already now more than 200 Euros - so for me regrettably no chance to get it . Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you for you wanting to solace me - but I surely won't buy the DS (even if there will be no OT set next year) because I haven't got the money for it and because I really fail to see to pay so much money for it. Also Lego OT has to be something everybody can afford to buy! Klaus-Dieter
