  1. That wasn't meant insulting, Guss. In contrary - I like the old motorcycles very much. And in opposition to the new police motorcycles I must say that I really prefer the old ones over the new ones. Btw: Since you perhaps plan to build a new big garage: What about adding an awesome garage like this one to a little motorcycle shop? Klaus-Dieter
  2. I totally agree with you, Mr. Mandalorian! I hope that TLG will release a very nice Endor Battle playset next year, too. In general: Endor Battle playset doesn't necessarily mean that it has something to do with the planet Endor - only with the battle. So we might get a set with an B-Wing/A-Wing and a TIE Interceptor and/or TIE Fighter, too. But surely I hope - and even think - that TLG wouldn't be that crazy. Hoping that this set will show the battle on the planet Endor it surely has to include: -some trees -bunker -Han, Leia As for the other contents it depends on how much this set costs (if it's very expensive it might probably include a suggestion of a part of an Ewok Town - like you already proposed - too, but I personally would prefer a whole seperate Ewok Town set in the following year(s)), what TLG does think is more demanded to include (e. g. AT-ST with Chewie or an Ewok catapult with one or two Ewoks) and which other sets they plan to release in the future (e. g. if they plan to release some kind of Imperial Endor BP and Rebel Endor BP it's very unsure if they then include in the Endor Battle playset some Endor Rebel Troopers and/or some Scout Troopers with speeder bikes). I wich that TLG will include some Death Star Troopers in this set, too, since firstly people which can't afford to buy the DS (like e. g. me, too) then get the opportunity to buy and own some DS Troopers, too (secondly it would be more profetable for TLG to include DS Troopers in more than only one set) and thirdly because these DS Troopers play an important role in this scene since they have to switch on and out the protection shield of the DS and they help to arrest Han, Leia and the other Rebel Troopers which came with them. And I wish that TLG will - at long last - include a new black Imperial Officer minfig, too, since firstly more different Imperial Officers are really needed (we sadly only have two different types until now ) secondly more different Imperial Officers are at the OT fans in high demand and thirdly because this black Imperial Officer plays an important role in this scene since he is the one who commands all the Imperials in the Endor Bunker and he is the man who arrests Han, Leia and the other Rebel Troopers which came with them, too. So let's be surprised what we'll get. Klaus-Dieter
  3. That would be a great idea, Steff! I'd like a SW advent calendar, too, but I fear that TLG won't release one because firstly I think they aren't allowed to sell single minifigs because of their license and because seondly it would be a bad deal for them because: If they only include "common" minifigs like e. g. Stormtroopers, then this set wouldn'T be very much in demand. And if it would come with some exclusive minfigs like e. g. a special character which hasn't been done until now like e. g. Mon Mothma, a lot of people would only buy the advent calendar and wouldn't buy that much other sets since they then already own these special minfigs (which normally should attract the buyer to buy a new set (if he already owns the older version - or a version similar to that one - which didn't include this new minifig)). Consequently I'd say: Bad chances for us. But on the other hand you'll never know. If TLG renews the license after 2011 it might include different rules - and then TLG might be allowed (and perhaps even willing) to release single minfigs. Klaus-Dieter
  4. That's a great MOC, Guss! I really it! The garage is perfectly built - and the details with the good old motorcycle, the ceiling lights and this little car for the tools are simply . Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  5. Ok, ok, then I understood you wrong - excuse me. Now, let's see, perhaps I'll try to rebuild the chess parts. And if so then I'll of course show them to you. Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for that information, Matteo Kenobi! I thought that the 100 $ were only for a possible Home 1 playset and for the Palpatine's Arrest it would be less. But now I know that I was wrong. Ok, but 100 $ (about 150 Euros? since prices for SW sets are in Europe sadly much higher than in the US) for the Palpatine's Arrest set sounds very much. So eihter this set would include a lot of stuff like: Palpatine's office with breaking window, Anakin's speeder, some sort of part of the Senate building and as minfigs then Yoda, too. Or TRU and TLG are really thinking of making two sets: A Palpatine's Arrest set for about 60-80 Euros and a Home One playset for about 100-110 Euros. I personally don' think that this idea is too far away. Only think about that indeed the Palpatine's Arrest had more votes than the Home One playset. But the Home One playset was close to it. So if I am TLG or TRU, I would release both sets. Then all "only PT/CW" fans and all "only OT fans" (like me) get what they want - and those who collect PT, CW and OT would surely buy both sets. Don't you agree or rather wouldn't you do it like that, too, if you are TLG or TRU?! Klaus-Dieter
  7. I totally agree with you, legotrainfan! I stay still sceptic about an affordable price of this awsome set , too, because: Firstly not all sets (of these people which don't want to keep them but to sale them) will be on ebay at the same time. Secondly people surely look at the auctions on ebay at the moment. So they'll know how much this set is in demand and conseuquently they surely will not sell it for an affordable price. Thirdly 1700 sets are on the one hand very many sets. But on the other hand surely some of the Vestas members will keep this set. And there is a huge mass of AFOLs which want this set - and which have a lot of money to buy this set. These are all reasons why I can't imagine this amazing set will be sold for an affordable and fair price. With affordable and fair price I mean something between 100 and 150 Euros - more wouldn't be fair and more I would gail to see and mainly wouldn't be aible to pay! But since Vestas gives not only their customers but even their members this brilliant set as a present I could imagine a bit - and surely I'm hoping - that TLG or Vestas will sell this excellent set to us in some time, too. So let's hope. Klaus-Dieter
  8. I totally agree with Dr. Brick - if you know somebody then please inform me, too! Klaus-Dieter
  9. I thought that the person which presented us this list with the Millenium Falcon on it announced himself that the list was wrong. And if the information of the Tantive 4 is right - I don't think that TLG will release another 150-... € set for OT next year. Regrettably that seems to be right, Bobskink. I know that the most of you would have found it boring to get another Slave 1. But since I only own the old version and not the newer one I really would have liked a redesign/rerelease. Plus we perhaps would have had the opportunity to get a Boba Fett minifigue with an antenna on his helmet, new guns and at the best a new bounty hunter minifig. Let's see - perhaps TLG will release a redesign in some years since the Slave 1 is one of hte important vehicles of the OT. So I'll have to wait. On the one hand I agree with you, Matteo Kenobi. Like it was mentioned in this chat we were aible to read about two months ago TLG does regrettably not plan to make a whole ship. On the other hand I disagree with you since in the same chat it was mentioned which minifigs could be included - and these were definetly from episode 6. I personally think that there will be two TRU Exclusives next year (like last year the RC and the Hoth Rebel Base): The Palpatine's Arrest and the Home 1 playset. As for the Palpatine's Arrest set I don't think that there'll be included more than one new minifig (if it's about 60-80 Euros) - meaning perhaps: Palpatine, Anakin, Mace Windu, two Imperial Royal Guards and a new Jedi minifig. As for the Home 1 playset (of it's released) I don't think that there'll be included more than three new minifigs (if it's about 100-110 Euros) and not more than seven-eight minifigs total: Ackbar , Mon Mothma , 2x Endor Rebel Trooper , A-Wing Pilot, mechanic, Lando/Endor Leia/Han/Luke. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you very much for your nice comments, legotrainfan and Holodoc! You're right. That's actually what I thought, too. Perhaps TLG will offer another awesome exclusive City set (like the amazing 10188 Town Plan) in some years which then would include a little park. I would that very much, too. You're right, Holodoc. The knights really look boring. I thought a long time about how to design all the parts differently but I didn't find a very good solution. You're first idea with the combination does regrettably not work since is bigger than 1x1 - and the squares are only 1x1. But the idea of a 1x1 plate with a 1x1 slope is good. Klaus-Dieter
  11. That's again a great review, TheBrickster! I voted for Above Average: I really this set. Luckily my little brother bought it when it was rereleased in 2001/2002 (some time ago we detached that I'll keep all Lego sets and bricks in the future - and he'll keep all the model railway stuff (non-Lego) - ). It was nearly the first bigger official Lego set we owned - and which wasn't destroyed shortly after having bought it . I like the car wash, the gas station itself and the beautiful cars. These are cars TLG should produce again! The only thing which I don't like that much is firstly that there's no garage and secondly that the interior of the gas station is nearly empty although it's very big. But otherwise this set is excellent. Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for that information, slusho! And by the way: Welcome to Eurobricks, slusho! I totally agree with you, metalandi! It's very unfair that there are on the one side people which are aible to get this set - even if they aren't interested in Lego or perhaps even not intrested in this set - and on the other side there are real Lego fans like us which really, really want this amazing set but can't afford it because the prices on ebay are utopian. Klaus-Dieter
  13. Again thank you very much for this nice review, TheBrickster! I voted for Below Average: I totally agree with you, TheBrickster! The only element of the whole set which I like is the auto lift. Apart from that I really don't like it because of nearly the same negative reasons you already mentioned: -The garage is closed in the back. -The cars are all way too big and - apart from the red one - ugly. -The two minifigs from the SW and the Agents theme really don't fit. -The additional room in the garage is too little. -There is no additional stuff like some tools, a refrigerator with drinks, ... which are normally included in a good set and which make a good set that good. -The whole set - but mainly the cars - look too custom. => The sure instinct when designing this set really did miss. For kids or people which don't have any civil cars yet it's a good and nice oppportunity to get these. But for an AFOL who already owns some very nice classic sets and who has a certain demand. Klaus-Dieter
  14. Again a very nice review, Whitefang! For all three sets together I voted for Average: 1187 is poor because the wings really don't fit. Plus we've got enough of these flying "things" in all the other sets. 1184 is average because it offers a really nice catapult which can be used all the time. 1185 is outstanding because it's simply - outstanding. Regrettably these sets were promos (weren't they?!) because they are very hard to get (and so I regrettably don'T own 1184 and 1185). Klaus-Dieter
  15. That's a very nice review, The Cobra! I voted for Outstanding: This set includes everything you need for a good ninja knight. Plus an included horse it's a great opportunity for ninjy army building (I only own one until now - but surely I'll buy some more in the future)! Klaus-Dieter
  16. That's a very nice review, voltio! I voted for Above Average: This set has an absolutely amazing architecture! The minifigs are great - I especially like the emperor and his horse. Regrettably I don't own the set until now - but I plan to buy it in the future. The only thing which I don't like that much is that it is very little (Come on, it's the emperor's stronghold and not a castle of someone unimportant!) - and I really miss a little throne room for the emperor. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Again a very nice review, Whitefang! I voted for Below Average: I totally agree with you, JimButcher! The dragon is great - that's the only dragon TLG release which really lookes very nice! But the minifig does really not fit: There has to be a witch or a magician - or at least the boss of the bad/good knights who flies the dragon. But this "normal" knight really doesn't fit. And what does he want with this big halberd?! Does he want to kill his own dragon?! Klaus-Dieter
  18. That's a very nice review, Whitefang! I voted for Above Average: The set looks really nice and includes some nice additional stuff. Which I don't like that much is that the diamonds are standing totally unsecure outside - and even in the way that people can't pass. Otherwise it's great - and I really plan to buy this set from Ebay in the next years since it'll surely make a good outer bailey to the big Samurai fortress. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Your jungle display looks great, Batbrick! The most I your self-designed temple - it's really awesome! I'm not so sure about the IJ sets. In my opinion some adventure people or some natives with kajaks would have fit more. But apart from that the landscape and the nice little details are very nice, too. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

  22. Thank you for your nice comment, Manta! To the price: For Germany it's 19,16 Euros. But I don't know how much it's in the US (and whether you can buy it there at all). The best thing would be if you browse through Lego.Factory at the web and search for the member Klaus-Dieter. Then you'll get a list of all my creations. You click at "Schachplatz" and first possibility: click on the button "check price" second possibility: download the instruction. After you have download the instruction you click on the button where you can ask for the price. I hope I could help. If you buy it it would be very nice if you make a review - I would really like to see how it then looks in reality. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you all very much for your nice comments, Guss, Andrex, I Scream Clone and The Rancor! That's a nice idea. I'll think about it. Thanks. Klaus-Dieter
  24. Thank you very much for this review, Doctor Sinister! How I thought - this set is simply awesome! I really  it - hopefully it'll be available in some years, too, but for a decent price (The prices of classic SW sets increase very much after the set is no longer available at S@H - and 400 € is already enough!). Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thank you very much for your nice comments, Lt. Col. Thok and Guss! Thanks. I thought quite a long time about how to make the chess pieces - because without these the whole "Schachplatz" would look very empty and boring. Plus you are theoretically aible to play with this pieces chess (I say theoretically because it would get a bit difficukt since they are very little ). And by the way: Welcome to EB, Guss! Klaus-Dieter
