  1. Thank you very much for this review of the first part of this set, TheBrickster! Nevertheless my opinion towards this set didn't change: I really don't like it because it looks too simple and "too custom" . The 6561 Hot Rod Club (which I gladly own ) is waaaaay better than this set. Klaus-Dieter
  2. Hello everybody! I designed a very little SW MOC with LDD about a week ago. I know it's a bit stupid - but nevertheless: micro scaled Death Star Pieces: 20 Price: 2,85 € Here you can see a micro scaled version of the famous Star Wars Death Star. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  3. Hello everybody! Here's my latest LDD MOC: Schachplatz Pieces: 190 Price: 19.16 € In the center of Lego City there is a calm place in a nice park where two older men are playing chess. Do you want to join the chess game? Or do you only want to sit down on one of the two benchs and watch them? Set contains a big chess with pawns in game, two benchs, some foliage plants and two older men. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you very much for that tutorial, Mosana! Nevertheless I've got a question: From where can I get a "flan" for a torso (meaning a virtual artwork with the right size) to design a new torso? Does someone have something like this and can PM it to me? - That would be very nice. Klaus-Dieter
  5. That are some really nice minifigs, Holodoc! I really them - you can see nearly all colors Lego used for minifigs until now and the combinations are great, too. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  6. Welcome to EB, Jeff S! I really do hope that, too. It would really be a shame if TLG doesn't sell this set for the public. In my opinion there have been enough topics and petitions here on EB and all over the web, there have been sent emails to Lego and Vestas that Lego must be blind if they don't realise that this set is very in demand by a huge mass of Lego fans and that they could make a lot of money when releasing it for public (of course not for these utopian prices like e. g. at ebay - but surely for about up to the price of the awesome 10188 Town Plan). BTW: We have a topic about the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant set here, too. If you want to, drop over! Klaus-Dieter
  7. Thank you very much for this review, brickbitz! The parts of this advent calendar are really great ! The only thing I really miss is a medieval market stand . But despite from that it's amazing - we even get a fireplace for the witch ! Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much for your nice comment, I Scream Clone! Yes, I plan to do some more medieval citizens. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for that information, szww! So it seems as if we're getting a fireplace for the witch and some medieval market stuff for the medieval maiden. I can't wait to get this one. Klaus-Dieter
  10. I regrettably must disagree, Navy Trooper Fenson: 1. "Just OT collectors" does not mean that these people don't buy any other Lego sets (e. g. I collect many City sets, the old Western sets (regrettably there aren't any new until now ) and some Castle sets, too). 2. "Just OT collectors" does not mean that these persons have more money like other people. 3. The DS costs 400 Euros - only as comparison: Last year's OT sets all together were about 345 Euros (and the Y-Wing and AT-AT were only redesigns (ok, the AT-AT included a General-Veers-fake ( )) - so nothing really new) - but these were five different sets! I'm not complaining about the 10188 DS itself - in contrast this set is totally awesome and I really it - but the price is too huge . This is only a set for people who either do really only collect SW OT sets but no other Lego theme or for people who have a lot of money - and regrettably I don't count to these people so the DS is for me since I can't afford to buy it. City '09?

So you think that we'll get again some sort of Creator train set for AFOLs (with all the needed bricks and elements, motor, lights, ... of course) and not an exceptional large train set with elements which AFOLs like really much (like e. g. a huge amount of minifigs, very lovely design and details, ...)? - That would be really . Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you all very much for your nice comments! I thought once more about your proposal to change the father's head - and I changed it. Since I put together some more medieval citizens, too, I'll show you them all in some time. Thanks. I thought about doing a little Castle MOC in some time. When it's ready I surely will present it to you (but at the moment I'm working on a very nice City MOC). BTW: Welcome to EB, ptdagen and NewRight! Klaus-Dieter

Since it was mentioned that trains will be a completely seperated theme in 2009: Do you think that we'll get trains from different times (meaning perhaps a steam engine and/or a Western train)? Do you think that we'll get additional stuff like buildings (e. g. an engine shed, a depot, a cargo loading station, a big station, ...), vehicles and accessories (e. g. additional train lights, Impulse sets, ...), too? Klaus-Dieter
  14. I personally don't think that the Republic Star Destroyer will be in minifig scale. If the rumor of a minifig scaled Tantive 4 is right then we already will be getting a big minifig scaled SW set in 2009 - and when you look at the last years there never was more than one very big minifig scaled set. Plus there is an UCS needed for 2009 - and what would be more perfect than the RSD? Having read and thought about the lists we saw in the last weeks and after having studied the numbers and prices of this and last years' SW sets I want to present you a list which in my opinion sounds really realistic: Spring: S@H Exclusive: UCS Republic Star Destroyer 300-600 Euros Summer/Fall: "Normal" sets: Ashoka's Fighter 25-30 Euros Seperatist Shuttle 65-70 Euros CW Y-Wing 65-70 Euros Hoth set 25-50 Euros Endor Battle Playset 95-100 Euros Summer/Fall: TRU Exclusive: Palpatine's Arrest 60-80 Euros Home One Rebel Control Center 100-110 Euros Fall: S@H Exclusive: Tantive Four 150-200 Euros (The prices and numbers of sets are oriented on this and last years' SW sets.) What do you think about this list? Klaus-Dieter
  15. I totally agree with you, millacol88! I'm a big Star Wars fan and I like all six episodes. But Lego SW sets I only collect OT sets because firstly I prefer episode 3-6 over episode 1-3, secondly because of lack of place to store sets and - most important - thirdly because of money reasons. I'm really upset with this year's OT sets, too: Firstly we OT fans only got two real OT sets (Rebel Scout Speeder and Death Star; the Imperial Dropship is an EU set since it includes s Shadow Trooper( )). Secondly one of the most important sets for an OT fan - the Death Star - was set up for 400 Euros - which I really can't afford. And for next year it doesn't seem to be much better: A redesign of Vader's TIE with no new minifig but only in new colors ( ) and no other set in the beginning of 2009 . Let's only hope that the rumor of a minifig scaled Tantive 4, an Endor Battle Playset, a Hoth set and a Home One playset is real! I totally agree with you, Stauder! Of course it would be boring and make no sense to rerelease the same sets in very short intervals. But it's not true - which some other people say - that the most things of OT already have been done: We had nearly no Tatooine, Endor and Hoth sets. Some very important vehicles like the Tantive 4 and the Home One are missing. Some very important creatures like Tauntauns and Banthas are missing. Some very important settings like Uncle Own Lar's Ranch, Yavin Rebel Base, Endor Bunker, and Uncle Ben's Home are missing. Some very important minifigs like Nien Numb, the silvern 3PO, the little people which live in the Cloud City, the Ewok's chief, Endor Leia, Hoth Luke, Medical Droid, an Imperial Mark IV Sentry Droid, Endor Rebels, more commanders and officers (from both sides - Rebels and Imperials) are missing. There were some sets in the past which weren't that good and which surely would make a great redesign like Mos Eisley Cantina, Cloud City, Jabba's Palace, Ewok Attack, Cloud Car and Hoth Rebel Base. Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you for that poll, KimT! Of course I want the new layout: With the new layout you can immediately see which set this set number and set name is about. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you very much for this information, TheBrickster! I personally do really not like this set - so I won't buy it. I luckily already own the 6561 Hot Rod Club and the 6369 Auto Workshop which are way better because they are much lovelier designed, the cars aren't that huge and there are much more accesories . Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for that information, Gouns! I regrettably have to disagree, Crazydance. I fact that there was a Vestas set mentioned on the list - but no trains - argues for that it'll be release in the first half of 2009. And that would make in my opinion sense, too, since it would be a perfect addition to the new great Farm theme. And when you compare the box arts of the 4999 and the farm sets you must agree that they're very similar. To pit it in a nutshell I must say that I expect this/a Vestas set (if the list is (in this point) hopefully right) in the first half of 2009 - either in January (like the awesome 10188 Town Plan this year) or in late spring (like the last Maersk set which was a promo set, too). But of course nobody can know - perhaps you're right, too. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you your advice, Athos. Yes, a bit more variety would surely be not bad. The only problem is that the most additional minfig arms I own are blue - but let's see ... To the torso of the old man: I used this part. Klaus-Dieter
  20. That's a very nice MOC, Rook! It's a funny idea to have a chess with criminals and police men - I really like that idea. I mainly like the red house and the nice details which you included in your chess set: the nice additional minifigs, the street lights, the gate, ... Perhaps some flowers would have been good at the house that the house looks a bit more alive. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Power Miners is a completely different theme. It has nothing to do with the City theme. But I really agree with you: These Power Miners sets look really . In my opinion they are totally needless because we've got already Agents and Bionicle (which both are , too) - so no need for another theme. But kids seem to like these themes - so it's ok because everybody should buy and play with which she or he wants to. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Thank you very much for your nice comments, KimT and Cardinal Brick! I'm sorry - but that wasn't planed. I wrote the text and added the picture. During clicking on the button "Post new topic" I noticed that I had forgotten to add the poll. I immediately clicked on the stop-button - but at this moment it supposably was to late. But since I didn't noticed that I added the poll - and then there were two posts. I partly agree with you. I even gave the grandfather a very old and furrowed face - but you can hardly see it on the pic. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Hello everybody! Some time ago I "designed" some medieval citizens. Here they are: Medieval Family This is a typical medieval family: mother, son, father and grandfather - and their dog and a rat. I would be very happy if you vote for how you like these minfigs. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  24. Hello everybody! Some time ago I "designed" some medieval citizens. Here they are:
  25. I totally have to agree with Bonaparte - this is an absolutely amazing Wild West MOC, oo7! It looks so realistic and lovely - and the minifigs and all the additional stuff and details you included: Simply ! You're a real genius! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
