Will do. I have had a look at the pdf and it looks quite straight forward and clear. Out of curiosity, why didn't you include the body removal mod?
-
Thanks! I will build it over the weekend. I don't have an Sbrick so will need to find another way to limit or fix the steering.

I would like to thank everyone who has participated and especially Didumos69 who took the lead with the vast majority of mods and improvements. Also a big thank-you for putting into one document with easy to follow instructions for us lazy folk! I now have a reason to bust open the box and build it!

cool seat design. -
Excellent job! I think the back is more recognizable than the front but the side profile looks well done!

[WIP] Rebrick Porsche
technic_addict replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Car looks amazing! This is the second car I have seen using those panels over the fenders to look really good. I personally wouldn't go with the Gold wheels. As you said, too Subaru'ish. -
Your efforts are very much appreciated! I have had my Porsche sitting and waiting for this to be completed so I can build it. Are you still going to making BI / erratum sheet for all the changes to make it even easier to apply them?

White is the New Red

WOW! -
Not very helpful. Many countries use $ dollars. They should be posting the currency. I found this in their FAQ What currency will my pledge be collected in? Your pledge will be collected in the project's native currency, whether or not you see a conversion to your country's currency on the project page. If you have questions about foreign currency transactions, we'd recommend reaching out to your financial institution for further clarification. From that, it should be their home currency, which of course I have to google to find out it is Euro's. I have never used kickstarter and I am obviously doing my due diligence. I have never come across an online site which doesn't explicitly state the currency.

Ferrari F40
technic_addict replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes. I took out 3L axle and center pin connector, 4L thin beam with stud connector and the bushing and replaced with 5L beams. Looks much neater and with a sticker placed will look even nicer. I also added tiles to the rear wing which makes it look so much nicer IMO. The side emblems I am planning on putting on the 3L axle and center hole connector. Slightly blurry, but picture of tiles on the rear spoiler. I don't keep track of how many hours but this was a fairly straight forward build compared to the last MOC I did. The gear box is a bit finicky to get everything aligned but everything else is quite easy. -
Ferrari F40

I did a few esthetic modifications here and there. I also have the Ferrari emblems stickers from the F40 set that I will be putting on the hood and sides of the car. I am just going to wait and see if a better version of the hood becomes available. The seats are tan with black line through the middle of them. Thanks for a very beautiful model. -
Now all we need is for someone to make clear instructions for all the great mods available!

MaxSupercars also posted a video in the Mods and improvements thread which only allowed 4 + N + R and only allowed going into reverse when the car was set in 1st gear.

I used two V2 receivers with no issues at all. I did however need a polarity switch so all motors ran in the same direction using only one IR remote.
