It's just simple logic really, but I highly doubt anyone ever confirmed this. It's Disney, which means the seals are shut tight and "leaks" are what (when and where...) Disney chooses to leak.

By...one?

This pretty much is what I would like to know as well. Option a): Yes, I might be getting that. Option b): No, cannot be rendered decently with that brick count and I am going Archtecture Studio + lots of Bricklink whites MOC way. I already have all the minifigs, tauntauns, wampas from all the different iterations of Hoth anyway

Ordered a lot of pieces for a MOC on PaB + 75089 Geonosis troopers. Some of you may recall my misgivings on Utapau troopers vehicle and determination to skip on amazing minifigs because of TLG lazy design of the octupptara, so this was finally a chance for me to get hold of this fantastic mold for airborne troopers. This will nicely complement my Geonosis diorama one day. The interesting thing is that my main order was PaB and I only took Geonosis troopers to pass a treshold of free shipping on S@H, and then they sent me only the Geonosis troopers set (24h delivery, hats-off S@H! ) and informed me that PaB orders usually take 7-10 business days (obvious logistics reasons) which means that they are easily going to pay shipping on two separate deliveries . Now that's some serious customer service, I would have been completely ok with waiting for the complete order until it's ready, great job TLG! Praise where the praise is due, but I am still going to keep criticizing lazy designs in hopes of improving where there's space to do so .

Well thank you for this info, I for one haven't ever heard of this program and my dark age was over as of its establishement Much appreciated!

I have one perhaps naive question: In MOCs of these size and scope like the ones we see on Guilds of Historica, what is the secret of bricks procurement? Is there a hugely preferential way to get insane amounts of bricks at discounted prices, perhaps directly with Lego or something? I am asking because for way simpler and more modest MOCs, I'm spending quite some money on Bricklink and these have 2 or 3 orders of magnitude more bricks than anything I've made so far? Is there a secret that eludes me? Thanks for anyone's input and great work of course!

I am lost for words. Timeless work of art. Hats off to the two of you!

Actually the one with the pacifist colony invaded by the Separatists is the episode from Season 1, Jedi Crash was the title I believe, when Anakin was wounded and Obi-Wan didn't feature in this one. Also Rex was still in his Phase I armor. The one we are referring to is when Togruta inhabitans are captured and enslaved by the Zygerrians, and it's well the episode I've pointed in my previous post. No worries though, it's ok to make mistakes, there was almost 100 episode of that show, I myself get confused at what event transpired when in such a long course of action

Oh, I doubt that. When Disney wants the seal on, they pay attention to that kind of details. I don't think we'll hear a thing before a precisely defined date and I think that on that date the sets would be released so I wouldn't hold my breath for TFA visuals before that release date.
-
Actually, it is from Season 4, episode 11 "Kidnapped". Great arc, my only regret (that actually stopped me from buying the set at 18 euros at the time) is that this is the point in Clone Wars where they changed Obi-Wan's uniform from the fantastic white armor he had up until then to the more bleak Jedi robes...

Well, I'll add my 2 cts to this discussion: In my view, there is no way TLG will let slip the opportunity to cash in on the tremendous hype built around UCS MF. I sincerely believe that they are just waiting for the opportune moment. This could be second half of next year (or even beginning of 2017) when the Ep. VII hype starts to fade slowly (perhaps even together with the home video release of the movie). Will that be the exact replica of 10179? I doubt that, I believe that 5k+ treats are behind us. Although why the N.1 toy company in the world doesn't make a show of strength with an unparalleled product is frankly beyond me, the marketing effect alone would be stunning, even if the set doesn't sell massively... But I believe we are looking at at most 4k set bound to take the 400 price mark. The feeling of 'getting robbed' expressed by some members is childish at best, newer, better versions of pretty much everything are developed and sold continuously, that shouldn't stop us from enjoying the product we have. Lego as investment product comes far behind Lego as a passion and those who only view it this way are clearly on the wrong forum.
-
Of course not. 10212 Imperial Shuttle (UCS) was minifigure scale and was almost three times as large.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't aware of this whole debate, but I would still question the assertion of "AFOL circles" as these two videos are clearly geared towards an entirely different audience than HB, which I wouldn't exactly call AFOLs... But now I understand Will's reluctance to pursue this argument, let's just say to each his/her own, I am personally very much going to continue relying on HothBricks for Lego SW information.
-
Well, your previous post carries some very serious and I might add very unfounded accusations against Will's website. I am very much present in many different Lego forums, French, English, German, and Serbian and Hoth Bricks is regarded on most as a reliable and among the most regularly updated Lego SW websites around, with a very good moderation moreover, so I would be very interested to see a reference towards these "AFOL circles" that you mention? I'd be most curious to read some rationale for smearing the reputation of one of what I consider the best forums globally for Lego SW (and definitely the best one in France)...

Of course they can have two MF in the same time, it has already happened before. Otherwise I completely agree with TheBrickHitHouse, MF is a given sooner or later. They did it with X-Wing, they'll do it with MF, that is rock solid logic, no need for inside info there. What I am puzzled about, is the timing. Looking at the facts, TLG releases two UCS (in the broadest possible meaning, old 10xxx sets) per year. Now, we know that they are about to hand in a verdict in January concerning Cavegod's Ideas (old Cusoo) project. The public outcry for a decent AT-AT is impossible to ignore, so I'd wager that they will downsize it a bit piece count-wise and put it through, as it's pretty much in their pipeline and sure as hell they had invested few good people months into that. My initial guess was it would be the second UCS of 2015. However, Echo Base has came out of nowhere to fill that spot now. When it comes to 2016, that year will be all about Ep. 7 and most probably, they would want to cash in on Falcon while the hype beats its strongest which probably means a January 1st 2016 release for the MF. Which would get AT-AT postponed for a second slot of 2016, which again, in my humble opinion doesn't make sense. First, from marketing standpoint, you'd want AT-AT out there in the same time as Hoth base for obvious reasons. Second, I don't see Lucasfilm rehashing that many iconic vehicles for Ep. 7, they already did it with X-Wing and MF (had to do it for nostalgia but mostly retcon reasons); AT-AT would feel a little bit too much like a remake rather than a sequel. Ergo, no sense to have it occupy the slot in 2016. Which brings us to the possibility that they either do an exception and try to cash in big time on the hype and release 3 UCSs in 2015 or... AT-AT is indeed going out under Ideas label. I am aware that this is mostly speculation, just hope to have woven some logical thinking into it...

OMG, love it, EXACTLY what I've hoped for for a very long time!! *love* Thank you CM4Sci!
-
Yes, it's a great idea, let's try and make sure the speculators' profits are intact, wishes and desires of true Lego enthusiasts are after all secondary in the greater scheme of things.
-
Wow, if that rumor is based, I mean an actual re-release and not a TFA version of the Falcon that would be the most exciting news I heard since I got back into Lego after my Dark Ages! I am very much looking forward to your follow-up on this joebiwankenobi!

Yularen, if it turns out to be a DS white uniform version is my dream come true. I've been hoping for one ever since I got the DS in 2010, thinking that chances were virtually zero we would get one... Revan on another hand is a decent looking guy from a cool trailer, but doesn't come a mile close to the head of Imperial Security Bureau, so I guess it's all a matter of opinion...
-
Nothing I'm familiar with and wookiepedia returns ships that I simply can't imagine TLG would market (bulky, or extremely weird-shaped). The only conclusion is that it's an Episode 7-based set.
-
Found the Sith Nightspeeder on Dutch marktplaats for 19€95, picked it for Ventress mainly as I'm not completely sold on the looks of the upcoming one...
-
I think this says it all. Apotheosis of so many dreams... :bow_low:
-
Hmm, TLG did make Falcon once, I don't see why they wouldn't have a flagship product at any one time. How do you market it? Simple, premium Lego product, intended to the niche market that are AFOLs, limited quantity, first serie certificates etc. Déjà vu. I, for one, would take 3 of these to finally complete my Hoth diorama (well, if it's under 500€, not sure I'd be ready to buy 3 if it's more, but one goes without saying...) That's a set I've been waiting for a very long time...
-
Completely agree with this, if they did 4000+ i'd be in heaven!
-
Well, I don't live there anymore, but I'm from Serbia! :) They didn't happen to have another one?? Great find btw, congrats on that!
