You'll find a link on this page to a brickset forum. Apparantly cavegod and a guy called 1974 know something more than the rest of us...

Wow. Talk of a tease. Well, there was an AT-AT on Endor as well, not prominent, but was there

I have doubts for Tantive IV and the reason is simple, the previos was a 10xxx category, meaning an extremely accomplished set and there is simply too little (to none) room for improvement. Ok, new AT-TE invalidates that particular argument in the sense that LEGO doesn't flinch from doing a way worse set than its predecessor, but I seriously doubt Tantive IV nevertheless. 2013 was 10 years from AOTC, ergo, the avalanche of Ep. II sets. 2015 would spell the same fate for RoTS, but Lego decided to hurry its wave because of the huge revenue possibility that would represent Ep. VII in 2015 (Disney CEO was adamant that there wouldn't be any delays in theatrical release and the reason advanced was that he was counting on merchandising revenues to hit by the end 2015...) As for the Rebels sets, if they release them in Summer Wave (July...) they would have zero visibility for several months because the show only premieres in September or October, so I think it's highly unlikely. So, in addition to the three sets I mentioned in previous post, there would probably be two sets from OT, and I agree with whomever said earlier that Bespin and Tatooine are ripe for sets...

I am more of an opinion that Summer Wave 2014 will be themed around Return of the Sith, just like the 2014 Winter Wave with some last Clone Wars sets. Winter wave of 2015 should be heavily SW Rebels oriented, and I believe we all know what Summer Wave 2015 will be themed around big time So, I'd say we are headed towards new and hopefully improved Venator for Summer Wave 2014, some sets involving Separatist leaders, I'd guess a Mustafar bunker set and I'd hope for an Order 66-themed Felucia. And I really think it should be about time Lego ventures into a Taj-Mahal size Jedi Temple UCS but I see it more as 2015 release. AT-AT and Slave I are very plausible candidates for 2014 UCS sets.

Please, where did you find the Gunship for that price?! I've been looking for that set at reasonable price for a while now, and wasn't so lucky... ebay prices are a rip-off! More on topic, my most recent purchases are 8091 Republic Swamp Speeder and 7869 Battle for Geonosis. Really wanted to pair up Bariss and Luminara

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

This is very well reasoned Brickadeer. Wonderful post indeed as someone else pointed out. But I don't think that Anakin is selfish, no, remember Qui-Gon's discussion with his mother in Ep.I ("He gives without any thought of reward", "He knows nothing of greed"). I believe he pretty much remained selfless and loving throughout the saga. But there was one thing he never learnt as an adult. He grew in power and wisdom, but he never learned to face and let go of his guilt. He was absolutely lost in it. He never accepted his failure with his mother, and it's his mother he will eventually see in Ahsoka and Padme. Instead of facing the guilt, he buried it too deep inside. The manifestation of this denial will be trying to protect everything and everyone (see how he feels when he couldn't help Rex in the TCW movie, or when he couldn't help Oddball when he was on Palpatine rescue mission in ROTS). Buried deep within him, it will come back as a volcano. He really only faced that guilt while Palpatine was killing Luke. Then he was complete and truly unstoppable. And I think (and elaborated extensively in my previous post on page 82, I am quite surprised no one commented on it ) that Ahsoka will shed additional light on his character. She is far from an accessory spoiled kid of the CW. She will grow quite complex IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if Yoda actually had a vision of her future, and sent her to Anakin as a mean to try and finally make him confront his guilt, once she leaves him. And she will, one way or another. Anyway, just my 2 cents -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

I am sorry to say, but I cannot disagree more, with the whole post. For me (30 years old adult who's been with SW a loooong time, and also very conversant with EU lore), this was probably the best part of SW universe since Yoda trained Luke on Dagobah. A microcosm of the Force, dark always impinging on light (best and most mature quote since "That is why you failed" is probably "Do not hate him; it is his nature", couldn't believe my ears, not really kids stuff, end digression). I also don't understand this zealotry with canon, as long as they don't do ridiculous things like literally bringing people from dead (Palpatine cloning in EU was a sad example of what not to do). Contrary to many here, I remain convinced that the Maul teaser at the end of "Savage" arc was just that - a teaser. They may bring him in a crystal ball, spirit form, magic mirror, but not in blood and flash or a cyborg crazy creature... Can Anakin have force-visions about his future? Certainly. Can an immensely powerful Force-user manipulate his visions? Of course, see Palpatine in ROTS. With just a preview of Anakin's character, strong manipulator would know that Anakin would seek at any cost to avoid the visions and take exactly the road that brings them to being. Without offense, but that's the silliest thing ever; for you folks who don't get it yet, Ahsoka is Clone Wars (TV-show). You kill her, you killed the show. No. What is going to happen, she will be the key for understanding Anakin's descent to hell. Many of us were angry after watching ROTS coz you don't get how a fairly good guy with some troublesome events in the past end up being a monster capable of killing children. Movie tries to tell us that the reason is LOVE, but horrendous acting prevents us from seeing it. ROTS book filled that gap a bit, it gave a more in-depth study of character. Ahsoka will shed additional light on a monster within him. That much is obvious. Now, on a wild guessing side, I am under the impression that Ahsoka being resurrected with the last light of the Force-angel, is gonna get on a pretty uber "Palpatine-I'm-gonna-kick-your-a**-don't-*****-with-me" side. She is now the last avatar of light... So, my guess, she drives Anakin crazy once she finds out about Padme (and she's bound to), deems him unworthy of teaching her further, she seeks her own way, and I bet a part of my Lego SW collection, she survives Order 66. Later? Who knows.. Finds Shaak Ti on Felucia, and marries Galen Marek... -
Or bunker platform with a system scale imperial shuttle + shield generator antenna dish. All in scale with the released bunker? I'd much prefer that one, because honestly, Ewok village is relatively easy to MOC.

Maybe with a kind of a circular stand, you make anything near that heavy as a DS, a normal stand wouldn't have a chance... Wow, you really don't like the 6212 I am fine with the overall looks (although all your points are valid), I just don't get that MF gets redesigned so often and X-Wing stays the same. But, most probably, sales figures tell them that they have reached the ultimate design with X-Wing and not so with MF... But given the minifig list to be included with the upcoming MF, I get the feeling that that one may stick around for quite some time. Hopefully, they will consider redoing the gunship at one point, maybe in somewhat smaller scale...

I was always a little more inclined towards the Falcon But, anyway, let's stop discussing 6212, it could use a brush-up no matter how much $$$ it generates and no arguing about its iconic status (on that note, I doubt 4504 was selling bad and still they are always reinventing it). My post merely reflected surprise on how fast they withdrew two icons of the CW and PT, AT-TE and gunship.

I do not argue that. What I do argue is that minifigs are old. The set already has that 'antique' look. Plus the inaccuracies, which, to be honest, I don't mind much. I am just saying that they retired two excellent, modern-looking sets and are not even trying to re-design the X-Wing. Not taking too much risk, even if they might improve the profits, do they? :)

Hello AFOL community, Old fan of Lego and SW, I have been following this thread for a while now and finally decided to register. I won't bore you much, just figured I'd say hi and share a couple of thoughts relative to this topic. I for one, am very much looking forward to a new Hoth base, in a UCS or a large set, because each of the previous was lacking in some elements. It's about time we get an ion canon, if not a full command center, bacta tank etc... Cloud city done in a manner of a DS would certainly look terrific, but I have some concerns about the feasibility of such set. Stability to begin with... Knowing the shape of a CC, how would that thing hold in place? Finally, perhaps a little less pertinent question to this topic, does anyone have an idea why was the production/sales of such brilliant sets like AT-TE or republic gunship ceased without even thoughts of re-release, whereas some much older ones (and in dire need of re-design...) are still to be found around (i.e. 6212)?
