  1. They are the Jedi Council Mr Man, not a bunch of schoolgirls. They don't have to know the operation code name to figure things out based on given clues. No I won't get over a name change. When I hear Korriban, I hear it through the voice of Darth Revan. When I hear Moreband or whatever, I hear it through the voice of Minnie Mouse. Can't help it. I would generally agree with you if it was some obscure piece of EU no one ever heard or cared about. But come on, this?! This equates saying that Thrawn was Fives wet nurse and Ysolde, Kyp Durren or Jaicen Solo never existed. There are some things to be respected. Darth Bane. Brootherhood of Darkness, Sith War, Exar Kun, Naomi Sunrider. You don't just trash all of the EU in one bin as equally obscure. Yes, therefore my unicorn irony. I hope that Fives death wouldn't be in vain and that the knowledge of his fate would make Rex dig further and be saved & leave the 501st (he wasn't at the Temple!) Shaak-Ti should die as depicted in Dagobah episode, i.e. killed by Vader during the raid on the Temple. The Episode III book which is one of the best materials written in SW universe in my opinion depicts this as well.
  2. Ok, I just saw the episodes. Where to start... 1) "Chip" and "Syfo Dias" episodes are not enough to bring a dozen of the wisest beings in the galaxy put a finger on their forehead and say "hey, if the Sith gave us an army and then this army has had a chip with secret code since the earliest inception phase AND one of the clones with this chip malfunctioned and shot a Jedi, maybe, just maybe, euh, how to say, we're being played? Nahh, these aren't the (freaking MONUMENTAL) clues you are looking for, move along..." 2) Put a Jar Jar in one of the 13 episodes that are supposed to give us THE answers we are looking for a ton of loose ends (and it's not a jubilee episode that would become a mother of all merchandising with a classic "MISSA DEAD"...) is... no comment. Put him in two episodes? Well, to quote one of the previous posters that made me laugh like crazy with the story about a room, Hitler, Bin Laden, Jar Jar and a pistol with two bullets. Scratch Jar-Jar, put Dave Filoni. No amount of Windu-coolness can compensate that. 3) Yoda. Yes, beautiful animation, great acting, Korriban at long last (yes it's Korriban, Disney $%@*), all great. But WTF?!?!?!? First, Yoda fought and defeated a dark lord of the Sith on Dagobah who instead of dying transferred his essence into a nearby tree and that was hundreds of years before Clone wars, thanks Mickey friggin Mouse for destroying another piece of canon I actually cared about (I can forgive you trying to squeeze a few more coins out of Maul cash-cow, but not THIS!) Oh, INCIDENTALLY, it is because of this tree and its resident evil that Yoda chose Dagobah as his refuge after getting his a$$ served to him on a silver platter by the Emperor, because he knew that the dark side of the Force emanating from that tree would shield his light from Emperor's gaze. So, you might want to reconsider your recruitment decision for the "Keeper of the Holocron" position coz this one is obviously not doing a stellar job so far. Then, as someone mentioned, yes, let's just keep the rest of the Jedi Order in the dark about everything you discovered, it's a very wise decision. Especially don't try to check on the industrial complex on Coruscant. Too dark. Wtf... 4) Political episodes were good, masterfully orchestrated, although the acting of the Clovis guy was pathetic. And yeah, just throw another wtf moment for good measure. But next time please, add some humor to it, for example, when you are about to have Anakin hold Clovis and Padme over an abyss, stretching his muscles and electrical circuits, have a Jar-Jar fly by on a rainbow unicorn and shout: Ani, should missa call on some bombad Jedi to help youssa? It would kind break the paralyzing wtf-numbness of the viewers and make us laugh. And then still make unicorn explode for the aforementioned merchandising sake... 5) Rex? Ahsoka? Ventress? Shaak-Ti (it would be kinda cool to know just how many lives she has...)? Sorry for the rant, I've been waiting for these episodes for a whole year. I got good acting, great animations but the rest...? Come on Disney, you had a perfect opportunity to bring us 13 really mature adult episodes, no kid is going to watch them, they moved on meanwhile. It's a fandom territory. You totally failed on that account.
  3. Well, the only problem with that would be that box announces 2 new minifigures. And we know that Greedo takes one slot. So either that highly improbable hypothesis that the box didn't represent the Cantina set is true, or they only displayed one Bith, but will include three of them. I'd be damn happy if it turns out you are right though.
  4. Well, if he saw and remembered Figrin D'an (and the fig is named!) and not the others, I think we can safely assume that we are not getting three Biths, but one. There is still hope.
  5. Great project! Wish you all the luck with Cuusoo, you have my support!
  6. I don't think there's anything silly about my uncomfortableness with Jar Jar. And somehow I get the feeling that many people here would support that assessment
  7. Hahahaha. AMEN to that
  8. Super tank from Clone Wars (as personal soft spot), Munificent-class frigate, C-9979 Landing craft (as absolute must-haves, it's a scandal TLG never bothered, they are iconic), Luckrehulk-class (but that's already wet dreams ). Voila, off the top of my head.
  9. Aaah, dear mod thanks for informing ME of that, I expressed my drooling for that model in a second reply to the OP Now that I've induced severe remorse, that is one amazing model, great work! And... thanks, for real now!
  10. Yes, you receive the points automatically in their database, no worries. They will also show on your online VIP account.
  11. Well, being unemployed does help you know I hope that soon I'll have way less time to try and incite a debate of arguments on the forum where many people don't even read what others have written before and thus don't contribute to the quality debate. I said what I had to say about Cantina, I am not going to repeat it, but the only actually 'new' food for thought is the Phoenix_Phyre's last post. If the two shaded new Cantina minifigures do stand for two entirely new molds, why is an Ithorian Jedi of the set 75051 represented in full color image? To quote our favorite character: Very interesting... Either TLG already made the mold for him by the time retailer catalog was released (more probable) OR TLG hasn't yet reached a definitive conclusion on the Cantina set minifigures/price range (which seem a dream worth of Disney tales, but the one that will indeed perpetuate this discussion and guessing game for quite some time...) For I absolutely stand behind the point I already made: TLG draws another line on a pre-existing figure's print, it'll be labelled new on the box. But in retailers catalog? Hmm... Missa smell new molds yet in design phase. If I was the suggested poster, my frustration doesn't derive from the ambiguity and debate, more from people repeating stuff already said, and those who don't read the stuff already said or further those not being able to do additions to 10 (8, IT'S 8-8-8-8-8 minifigures, no extra 2,3 or 15! ) But the cherry on the cake is when someone's correcting someone on something or explaining something to someone that 14 previous posters have already done: I believe the birds on my window know by now that Wuher is called Wuher and not otherwise
  12. Well, Fives, I do like your list and think most of the sets are indeed probable. Exception made to X-Wing (the 9493s are still selling like cupcakes), Battle of Endor (mostly because of the title, one of the top Lego sets ever bore that title, I don't believe they'll ever touch its legacy) and Snowtrooper/Hoth Rebels BPs as we already had that, they wouldn't re-release it just to include few technicians... On the other hand: AT-ST, Imperial Shuttle, TIE Interceptor and Bomber along with Dagobah sets and a Death Star-like Cloud City is what everybody has been screaming for ages, so I guess they'll take the opportunity of the two 2015 waves before Ep. VII comes in force to release these. Also agree for Vader's new mold: two-part breather/helmet would be a very welcome thing. Breather would be actually a neck piece, with redesigned helmet to fit it. If well done, I don't believe it would be bulky (@Mr Man) What I hope for is that we'll finally get that UCS AT-AT in 2015... :/
  13. Wow, I'm out of it for a little while (and everyone gets... ) and the forum is spammed So let's go slowly, one by one. @Jindianajonz: Given the new pic of the cantina, things are way clearer, at least in my head. First, Greedo IS a new minifigure, because TLG always releases the "new minifigure" label whenever they change a print, let alone a mold, regardless of the fact if that figure had a pre-existant version. So, yes, you see well, the figure is a Rhodian all the way and it's a no brainer that's Greedo. One new minifigure slot occupied. It is my firm belief (much to my own dissapointment) that the second slot goes to Bith mold (x3 which is surprising, yet understandable, you need a BAND not a solo or a duet...) Good bye Ponda Baba. In the best of best of best of cases we'll get him one day with a revamped T-16 Grasshoppers or something like that as you suggested (a similar WTF? as Ceremonial Leia with the Y-Wing). Concordantly, no Wuher either, but there, no loss, he's by far the most easily customizable figure possible. @d-delay: No, sadly, I'll have to alter my initial estimate, I believe as said above that we are headed towards Biths all the way, and though happy for the new mold, I will sorely miss Ponda Baba @Robianco: Yes, I agree, we were led to believe by the description revealed that Ben will need his lightsaber, sadly, given what I said above, I think we are headed towards the musicians. It appears the dismemberment is a little too much for Disney-owned Star Wars licence. I just hope this is not a premonition of policies to come... @Brick Fiend: "2 new minifigures" label DO belong to the Cantina description, the only two sets on the page are a set from The Yoda Chronicles (inscription is visible above the Cantina set) and Cantina itself. TYC set features only known minifigures as we can see the right edge of the paper on the right of the 75051 minifigs. @Borex: Of course there is a good spot for the Biths, the booth to the left of Han's is empty and longing for some love @Klaus-Dieter: The description on kiddiwinks made no mention whatsoever of the band musicians, it was an unfounded rumor started on Hothbricks that was presented as fact since, despite my earnest efforts to warn people against taking it as such. @Phoenix_Phyre: You make all the valid points (save for the 3PO, I also have a feeling the new print is on its way after TC-4, but there won't be any droids in the Cantina), it was the same kind of reasoning I used to have before seeing the second picture and the third Squidward. That kinda made me change my mind about Wuher and Ponda Baba (see above) I think there would be no new features on Obi-Wan or Luke, for TLG would put a "new minifigure" label if they were having a new print. @Ki-Adi-Mundi: I sign every word @Legoman123: Our kind of "sense" and TLG's one often greatly differ Eight figures are a confirmed thing if they put it in the description, and mind you, it's already pushing it big time for its price range. Puh, done
  14. And WOW!! I just zoomed to an insane pixelated level the pic of the left edge of that pic and it could actually be a third Squidward!! Well, if that's really the case, you are right, then we have our band! So the second new minifig could be new print for Obi-Wan or the Sandtrooper Greedo...
  15. No problem, it's just that I would like to see a quality debate with some argumented theories about the contents of the Cantina, and that's hard if there is a progressive deviation of the discussion due to taking rumors as facts Your "deductive reasoning" is exactly what I would like to see as discussion in this thread (and forum in general, kinda tiring and pointless reading two and a half word posts...). Now to the core of it: there were two minifigs with Squidward placeholders, not three, and Biths remain a strong possibility. There I have to hand it it you, you made me run and cry to Wookipedia for Tonnika sisters (which are a whole new layer of obscurity and therefore not likely at all), and I considered myself a decent 'hardcore' fan of OT So thanks for the new piece of trivia As for the Obi-Wan, he's certainly not one of the two 'question marks' figs, all the existing molds are duly represented (see the set to the right of the Cantina), they refer to the new mold(s). I made an analysis about Cantina possible denizens earlier, you might consider it (and feel free to comment).
  16. For the n-th time, I would kindly ask everyone to stop disseminating rumors as fact. And while I have an enormous respect for the work Will of the Hothbricks is doing, his suggestion of the Bith musicians as possible new minifigs is purely conjectural. While Bith musicians are a possible (and very likely) choice for the new mold in Cantina set, they are by no means confirmed figures. Confirmed as of now are: Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, (very likely Greedo) and Sandtrooper.
  17. A newbie with such bravery...
  18. Huh, what little eagles?! Why Thorondor's folk never bring me a surprise like that?! I'd be very happy to find one in Europe, but that's a vain hope now and you sir are going to get rich on ebay
  19. I like it, but Rebel Transport is not prominent enough ship to warrant 100+ set, but I'd be happy nevertheless to have it in a smaller one. Ion Canon and Shield Generator are so overdue it's not even funny anymore And as for the Echo Base I wish TLG never makes another set. The reason for it is simple: the ONLY way to do it properly and avoid 7879-type disasters is to make it in many modular mid-to-large size sets much like Jabba Palace and Rancor Pit. But given their current marketing strategy (that I call "let's throw a stupid Tauntaun, gun turret and a snowtrooper speeder/machine gun, kids will love it") that's never gonna happen. But man would I love to get 5 modular Echo-Base sets to construct an epic diorama, but well...this is a Future SW sets topic not your wet dreams one... Interesting idea, but Tie factory is EU, and we see less and less of these sets... What I would really like to have is a set with Wullf Yularen, CW one would be nice, I'd get it for sure but I really, really, really need him for my DS conference room. His white Imperial uniform would look I would even buy the most dull and ridiculous set just to get him.
  20. Agreed, and I have a feeling Lego might do just that. Cantina will be a relatively expensive set (70+) and if their strategy with Desert Skiff/Jabba's Palace/Jabba's Barge is a tell, we might get a smaller set companion to the Cantina with some exotic residents (of which Ithorian is almost a given considering that they'll have a mold already).
  21. Well, 9491 is a CW, not a movie set. I already have Bariss in movie version with Swamp Speeder, I am not interested in a new one. I'd like a CW version with the above description and Ventress' weapons
  22. Oh, with some imagination a double-faced print, better cloak than the XS-sized previous one, black instead of the blue hood, potentially the mask she weared when she attacked Ahsoka, there is definitely a room for improvement since her 9491 model...
  23. I really hope we get Ventress in Bounty Hunter outfit and fallen Bariss. That would really make my day... I may even forgive them Commander Cody in Phase II armor for that.
  24. Wow, that's some friend!
  25. I sadly agree. And hate Disney for it
