  1. Just watching a Lego video that has mentioned the Bricklink set 910058 Sequoia Tree Trail .. the trees in this set made me think that Lothlorien could be possible 😁
  2. Everyone remember the Ideas Challenge they help "Exploring the World of Middle Earth" where the Grand Prize winners were Gandalf Rides to Minas Tirith for the scene section and Lothlorien for the location section and the runners up were the Argonath and Gollum and the Forgotten Pool .. this challenge was a couple of years ago now .. are the rumours possibly the start of something from this challenge forthcoming ??? 🤷🏻‍♂️
  3. Supported 👍🏼 I love this. It's something that surprises me that Lego has never dipped its toe in that water with. The details are fantastic. The layout and furniture are fantastic. On seeing your lineup I immediately thought I'd prefer the largest model, but on reflection I think the 'Ideas' model is just perfect. It would be a far cry from my usual sets that I collect and they're varied, but I'd certainly add this to my collection ( depending on how much Lego altered it 🙄 ) .. somewhere perfect for minifigure me to live 😁 Best of luck 👍🏼
  4. @Shiva I'm inclined to agree with you .. as much as the original idea was good, I much prefer this. The original was a bit disjointed to me, the Oompa Loompas didnt fit as they were from the original movie and the kids and the base / scenery was from the Depp version. The Depp version was ok, but I'm a 70's kid and I prefer the original, I might pick this up when there's a double points event on perhaps.
  5. The boat seems to be included, you can see the canopy in one of the pics in the usual places 😁 EDIT : Wonder if the boat might be a GWP for the set ??
  6. I appreciate that Lego have catered to us Wicked fans that wanted minifigures I really do ... BUT .. and it's slightly nit picking .. I honestly don't understand how a massive company like Lego miss the mark on so many little things ? Who signed off on Toto being represented by an Alsatian puppy ? They should have just recoloured the dog mould they used for Toto last time, in the movie he's a terrier of some sort. Nice Dorothy minifigure, although without a proper skirt piece it looks like shes wearing gingham dungarees. The new skirt piece from The Shire would have been perfect I think, perhaps not so great to print on though. I'll be picking the minifigure sets up and possibly the Castles set too.
  7. Loving the minifigures, but bookends ??? 🙄🤷🏻‍♂️
  8. Yes, Disney is what came to mind where they've done both minidolls and minifigures of the same characters.
  9. Because there's call for it 🙄 They've done it with other themes before too. I just want some official Wicked minifigs 😁
  10. They're gonna be minidolls again aren't they .. I have this uneasy feeling 😢
  11. Yeah the 'real' one that leaked and not the 'Friends" version 🙄 Was also thinking they could do an Ursula's Lair with the cauldron and the garden etc, the Evil Queen could have the magic mirror, but with all the surrounding architecture and a throne. Captain Hook's would probably have to be the Jolly Roger ship. There'd be plenty to chose from.
  12. Wonder if this set will be the fist in a Disney Villains theme ?
  13. I really like Cruella's car, wonder if they'll give her the manic / crazy face on the reverse ?? 😳
  14. I'll never understand why Lego won't seem to produce pieces in a specific colour to match the general colour of a particular part of the build. My main point is the wrist joints on the Balrog, they're kinda jarring in light blue grey. Make them in black Lego .. you HAVE the capability to. 🙄
  15. It's fan made, but Danny Breton has really outdone himself with this interpretation of Glinda from No One Mourns The Wicked .. this is beautiful. https://www.instagram.com/p/DI9DTBppujN/?img_index=3
  16. @BrickBob Studpants I've only just seen the drawing of the alleged Sherlock set .. now that's what a proper book nook looks like IMO. I immediately thought of Gandalf and the Balrog and have higher hopes I think although the bookends idea could have possibly worked maybe joining them together if you didn't want books in between, mind you I guess that defeats the whole point of bookends 😂 Hopefully some info soon
  17. Oliver from Oliver & Company would be a good one, but I'm not sure the movie has enough popularity. Marie from the Ariistocats would be a good shout too. They could do a smaller set .. like they have done with Simba / Dalmatians with all three of them and then Marie for the larger one.
  18. @BacktoBricks I agree with you that compared to the Dalmatian the Angel set isn't good, but when you put it side by side with the buildable Stitch they did they seem to go together pretty well ?
  19. Classic Bo Peep would be a welcome addition, the huge dress skirt mould would be ideal
  20. @hikouki yeah I noticed that one too .. I was hoping someone might do the 'back' for the castle or extend it .. not seen anything yet. The new 101 Dalmatians set has appeared on facebook .. very much like the buildable Simba .. not for me personally but it looks fantstic. It looks like one puppy that you can have in 2 differerent poses .. I think they';; be 2 different builds rather than yo being able to 'pose' it .. but I could be wrong.
  21. I'm planning on picking up the Beauty and the Beast castle when there's a double points event. I've ordered the parts to do this though, I just wasn't a fan of the lavender, so I quickly did this, very quickly so it's rough, in procreate to see what it would look like and yeah I like it. I did look to see if the pieces were available in light nougat, but the corner bricks were 90p each as it seems like it's an unofficial colour for that brick. Also thought white would be a little cheaper and make it look different from the new Disney Castle. I think the ballroom tower blends in nicely now too 😁
  22. I think , and it's only a personal opinion, that Lego decided they needed to do a cheaper set than Rivendell and Barad Dur .. I only own Rivendell as I wasn't interested in Barad Dar ( although I have begun saving with a possible view to getting it ) The Shire I like, but I wonder if they felt the need for a cheaper set to entice more people in to buy it. Had the designer had the budget like Rivendell and Barad Dar I'm sure we would have seen something quite different. I mean Rivendell is £160 more here in the UK, that would have made The Shire much more impressive. Just a thought 😁
  23. Don't forget the Lothlorien that won the grand prize of the Lego Ideas contest 🤔
  24. The more I see of this, the more I'm liking it. I skipped Barad Dur as it just didn't appeal to me, neither did the Fell Beast. This does. Hopefully I'll be able to get the Smeagol and Deagol set, is it great, no, but it's a GWP. I'll probably upgrade the trees with the link here. I noticed the new melted candle pieces, they're rather good. Now I',m just wondering .. should I get Barad Dur so I don't miss it ! 😂🙄 EDIT .. having just watched a review on youtube they said the melted candle was just a pen piece ? D'oh
