I think some ( including me ) were hoping for a dress change because .. yes Belle's yellow gown is the iconic Princess dress and is her dress in all the merchandise and iconic pictures, but when you think about it she only wears it for a short time of the film. Her village attire is ( I think ) the one that is on screen for the majority of the time. Oh yeah @JeanGreyForever I didn't initially think about there having to be a different hair piece, but agree with what you said. One thing that stood out to me was Belle being sat at the table for Be Our Guest, yes it's nice that she has the 'sitting down' dress, but she isnt in this dress at this point. Nit picking I know but 🤷🏻‍♂️ And Lego, please don't tell us this set has 10 minifigures when it only has 5 🙄😂

There's a review of the castle up on youtube. Doesn't seem as though there's anything hidden in the Wardrobe sadly. Unless reviewers have been asked to keep it secret ? It's a great set, although I still find the lavender colour slightly jarring. But I don't think there's another viable colour option ? 🤷🏻‍♂️

@JohnTPT17 i noticed the ruffles too, I wonder on the printing aspect though, i know obvioulsy they print on Alice's skirt, but might these ruffles be too much for printing ? Good shout on Belle''s village dress. 👍🏼

Remember the little converation about new skirt pieces, the new LOTR set looks as though there's a new skirt piece for Rosie and Mrs Proudfoot ?? Interesting 🤔

@strangely ahhh yeah I see what you mean about Wardrobe seeming to hide something .. there's definitley some sort or recess behind her and the smooth floor tiles allow for the wardrobe to smoothly swing out. Although the 3 other outfits Belle wears throughout the film aren't all gonna be in there sadly, Blue village dress, Green Library dress, Pink Something There dress. The fact that the Lego site listing says there are 10 minifigures, yet the description uses the wording '10 characters' .. sorry Lego, but Chip ( and he's not on his own ) isn't a minifigure. Noticed they make no mention of being able to 'transform' the Beast, even though the media pack and videos show the secret hideaway where you keep his hair, and he's on the back of the box too.

Just watched @Ashnflash 's video on Youtube ,, great video, but what I leanred from this and really like is that the red staircase section can be removed ( I'd seen that on some of the pictures, what I didnt realise is that it can be reversed so that when you look through the castle main doors from the front you would see the stairs going up. Probably not correct in the actual layout of the castle, but a nice touch none the less. I'm already thinking of ways to add parts and perhaps improve things. A small gold dish under Lumiere will raise his height a little. People wondering if Belle's blue dress might be in the wardrobe. It looks like it doesnt open and is brick built so I think that may be a no.

It's beautiful .. I think if there's an acompanying GWP it'll be a day one for me, if not I might wait for double points. Pleased to see the array of minifigujres, Prince Adam too on the back of the box. Very pleased to see the 'sitting' version of Belle, I think in futire sets ( they should have started this with the Disney Castle ) if there is a character with a skirt slope then they should include the pieces to allow them to sit too. Agree with others that Cogsworth is out of scale, especially with Mrs Potts, almost wish they'd made a new teapot mould for her. Looking forward to the hi-res pictures so I can have a good browse. 😍

So 43258 the Moana 2 set is officially on the Lego website and thats not due out unti June 1st !!! Yet still no reveals of Beauty and the Beast ?? C'mon Lego !!

I almost wish they would create a new dress piece for the ball gowns, we currently have the skirt slope with a base of 2x2, Queen dress with a base of 2x4 perhaps one in between with a base of 2x3 ? Danny Breton's ( my favourite Lego minifig artist over on Instagram ) depictions of Belle, Cinderella, and Tiana and Bo Peep too all use the Queen dress and they look fantastic.

The alternate dresses in that one submission to the 100 years of Disney magic were great. Where someone designed Snow White in her scullery maid rags, Cinderella in her maid wear and Aurora as Briar Rose. I'm not sure Disney would allow it .. we only ever seem to see them in their Princess wear.

The colour scheme of the micro version of the Beauty and the Beast Castle over on rebrickable is fantastic, but also I'm not sure I would want the new castle in that colour scheme, I think it works well for the small version model, which is much more complete, but would it work for this big version we're getting ? I never thought about the 'human' staff being in the film for such a short time, might make more sense for them not to appear in the set. As for a GWP .. interesting thought .. there is one with each modular nowadays, there was one with Barad Dur, there's meant to be one coming with Bag End. There wasn't one with either of the Disney Castles, but who knows ?

Only my opinion but I think Phillipe is going to be a no .. he's a big cart horse, so the regular horse mould I don't think would look quite right. I'm hoping we get object / human form equivalents of Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts and Chip, but I'm not 100 % hopeful 🤞🏼

Lol @BacktoBricks maybe a sprinkling of pixie dust 🪄💫 So I've been looking at the image again this morning as last night it was about 3 am in the UK and I was on my way to sleep when I spotted that there had been a leak .. I was quickly awake and searching for it .. took me a while. Anyhow, it's very 'lavender' ..very, which while I don't dislike it I'm not exactly sure on it either. The castle in the film is not this colour, The ballroom where they dance doesn't look very big at all and although I realise there has been some forced perspective used in the build, this is a little bit strange as I imagined they'd make this a play feature, still could be I suppose. This part is not meant as a dig at the Lego designers and I know they have limitations on what they can and can't do, BUT who decided not to give Beast a new head mould or the digitigrade legs, we know they're still in use as they used them for the Arakocra ranger in D&D. Who was it looked at that design of Beast and thought 'Wow, that's fantastic' or just "Yeah that will do" which I highly doubt Lego designers would do, but wheres the passion and love in that design. Someone commented on a reddit thread that his eyes are looking in two different directions, which I'm inclined to agree with. Sadly .. for me at least .. and I know it's an early leak and we've not seen everything yet .. it's gone from a day one purchase .. to a .. I'll wait and see, perhaps wait for a double points week. EDIT .. @JeanGreyForever I see what you mean about the legs, there could possibly be an 'animal' pair included too ? As you say this pair would be his boots. The gloves too, didn't realise until you pointed it out that he never wears white gloves. Good spot. Again like you said it's to save then having flesh / fur hand options. Even though we all do swap hands out for others, it's kinda frowned upon by Lego.

Does anyone else wonder if Axl from Nexo Knights might be a good size. Don't get me wrong I don't mean exactly like him, but his legs are normal legs, so they could use the faun legs, then his armour makes him look like he's a bulky guy, this could work for the beast possibly with some new arms added. Currently watching the Beauty and the Beast vid on Youtube and I was mistaken before, Belle's head comes up to about the Beast's shoulders. I'm getting impatient for a leak for this set 😂😂

I suddenly remembered seeing some concept ideas for big figs, now these never were and probably never will be produced by Lego, but imagine if the Beast were done at this scale, I could see this working. I thought it was to big, but imagine once you put a Belle hairpiece on the minifigure that's stood there for scale. It's about the right height. As when they're dancing together her head rests on his chest area. They'd need to to the satyr legs in that size though. I keep hoping we might get a glimpse of something soon 😁

I’m a little bit late to this rumour, but wow .. hope that the Beast’s Castle rumour turns out to be true. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for minifigures. A couple of things I’m thinking of .. not as expensive as the current Disney Castle .. minifigures .. yet not as low as the Ice Castle .. minidolls. The Belle minifigure from the Disney Magic set would be a perfect reuse for this set, as would Gaston. As much as I’d love all 4 of her outfits from the castle I dont think we’d get them all. I’d like to see the enchanted objects as both the objects and their human form, but that would mean 4 ( or possibly 5 / 6 ) extra minifigures, then with Belle and the Beast ( in both forms ) would be asking and expecting too many. Lastly I think Lego are banking on the Beast ( which will certainly be exclusive to this set ) being one of the main selling points of this set , I think as a minifigure he’ll be too small, but as a big fig literally too big, something in between would be great. Ideal minifigure line up …. Beast / Prince Adam / Belle / Lumiere / Cogsworth / Mrs. Potts / Chip / Babette / Wardrobe / Gaston / Maurice .. that’s 11 .. there’s no way that’s’ happening 😂 Surprising that if the release date of April 1st is to be believed that we’re only hearing of this now. How they manage to keep certain things under wraps and not others baffles me at times,

Unibricks has also posted pics of the Cinderella dress on a stand .. although when I first saw it I got Alice in Wonderland vibes 😳

The Maleficent / Cruella dresses set is up on Insta too .. something different I suppose .. Minidolls though 🙄

@Lyichir thanks for the info .. I hadn’t heard the rumour. Here’s hoping ( for me it would have to be minifigures, but who knows ) fingers crossed for a big set perhaps. I did wonder whether Lego might depict the flying monkeys in a similar style to Gollum from LOTR, but with wings. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Me again ( ha ha ) anyone think that with the success of Wicked : Part One that they might do an adult minifigure set for Wicked : For Good ?
