It is a shame there seems to be no minifigure with the Agrabah Palace .. what’s the reckoning the rumoured Triton’s Palace ( although I’m sure it’ll be marketed as Ariel’s ) for Jan 24 follows this same suit .. so no minifigure with that either 😔

@hikouki with the train wreck this live action version seems to be turning in to .. perhaps Lego should have gone with the perfect Lego Ideas submission after all 🙄

It won’t be but if it did turn out to be Sleeping Beauty’s Castle .. hopefully the minifigure could be blue dress Princess Aurora 🙏🏼😂

AshnFlash has a review up of the Peter Pan “Off to Neverland” set .. quite a nice little build .. although missing 2 major characters from an iconic scene .. poor John and Michael.

@Balrogofmorgoth very good point .. take note Lego 😁 On a little side note .. and I know they’re not official sets but LegoMocLoc has some new beauties .. the White Council and my favourite new one Grey Havens .. heavily inspired ( in his words ) by the new Rivendell set .. it’s beautiful 😍

Everything’s gone quiet since the Disney Castle release .. hopefully there’s something soon .. I keep refreshing Insta every time I go on there, but nothing .. I still keep hoping for something Beauty and the Beast or animated Little Mermaid 🙏🏼 lol

@hikouki .. I completely agree with you regarding The Little Mermaid sets .. I would have loved to have seen 3 or 4 smaller sets based on the classic animated version, for me these would have been Daughters of Triton ( without Ariel ha ha ), Ariel’s Grotto, Ursula’s Lair, Kiss the Girl or perhaps Ariel and Eric’s carriage ride, then Happily Ever After .. not that Lego would produce so many sets based on only one Disney movie when there are so many to chose from. I sincerely hope that if the Snow White’s Cottage leak comes to fruition that it is the classic animated version and not the upcoming live action. The Snow White minifigure in the leaked image seems to be the one from the new castle, although the image is blurry. We know from past experience though that minifigures in concept images tend to be what they call ‘place holders’ @OttoRiver the survey leaked image of the cottage for me wasn’t anything at all like the cottage from the classic movie, the colours were wrong, the height was wrong, it was all wrong for me. The Lego Ideas set that they rejected .. twice by Hanwasyellowfirst was just perfect IMO

I haven’t opened my new Disney Castle yet ( and sadly wont be building it for a while yet ) but I’ve been watching reviews and just wondered whether Jiminy Cricket’s collar might look better on Snow White rather than the ‘cone of shame’ one she seems to have in the set. Unless of course it won’t work ( which I suspect might be the case ) because of the shape of her hairpiece ?

Just been browsing the castle listing on Lego’s website … there’s a quote saying “for a limited time only, look for this set in exclusive packaging”.. which I interpret as after the 100 year celebration event they’ll change the box. You’re right .. it does have one on the leaked image .. it reads “I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream” .. which is strange considering Aurora / Briar Rose isn’t there. Then again they’re not likely to use the Maleficent quote of “Now you shall deal with me o prince and all the powers of hell” 👍🏼 The Disney Castle is now on the UK website £345 .. not as much as I was expecting .. happy days 😁

I’m loving the new castle .. does anyone else think the minifigures have a little too much of a cartoony look .. not classic looking. All the princess hair pieces seem a little too big Florian’s hair should have been dark brown and I plan on giving Naveen a pair of dark green legs like he actually had in the movie .. I’ve looked at the screen caps and they seem dark green to me. On the images at bricktastic there’s a room that has trans green flames and a trans green head in a fireplace .. is this meant to be the moment Maleficent lures Aurora into the fireplace and up the stairs to the spinning wheel tower ? EDIT .. I’ve just been looking at the images and noticed this seems to have the spinning wheel on the reverse it turns round somehow. Also just realised that the Snow White in the leaked cottage picture ‘seems’ to be this one .. there are the sparkly bits all over he dress, even though the image is a little blurry 🤔

I’ve just had a thought ( yes it happens from time to time ) remember the “silencio” box in Diagon Alley .. what if .. and it’s a big IF .. there’s an extra box in the new Castle perhaps with Belle and Beast ?? I think I’m just clutching at straws but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hopefully and I’m sure it will happen eventually that someone will do a side by side comparison. I harped on about there only being 5 minifigures ( yeah I know there were 2 statues but they don't count ) it was a big bug bear of mine. Then this version has only 8 !! Really Lego c’mon we deserve better than this. There’s the rumour of the Avengers tower having 22 .. thats 14 .. yes 14 more !!! 😡 I know Disney obviously has a big say in what’s included too. Whilst it will sell well I think a lot of people might hesitate.

It does look great but it’s a shame about the 8 !!! Quite disappointing 😔 Especially as Tiana is a repeat .. oh well .. won’t be a day one for me, i can wait 🙄

I’ve got an uneasy feeling that the 8 minifigures we can see in the image will be all we’re getting .. I definitely hope I’m wrong though 🤞🏼

Do we have an official number of minifigures at all or is it still just rumour ? The Tiana figure although nice enough looks to be a repeat of what we just got in the CMFs .. hopefully Aurora might be in blue ? The Castle itself seems to have a lot of sand blue instead of the old grey, but I realise there’s pretty much a whole new colour scheme. Overall looks great, but I’ll wait to see the whole range of pictures. It didn’t make me think ‘instant buy’ .. and still with the ‘flat back’ 🙄

Many of the usual Instagrammers have put up pics ( they seem to be official pics as they’re of good quality ) of the new upcoming Disney Hocus Pocus set .. looks good .. sad to see there’s no Billy Butcherson though.

I agree with you .. I loved the film .. just the clam shell isn’t featured anywhere in the movie .. I still think they’d have been better doing a few smaller sets .. Ariel’s Grotto, Ursula’s Lair and Triton’s Throne Room .. I may get the set when it’s double VIP or on sale, but I can wait.

Great to finally see Cinderella although it’s a shame they went with merchandising colours rather than movie accurate colours. Wish Lego would develop a new skirt piece for the likes of Cinderella, Belle, Tiana and others too. We have the dress slope at 2x2 .. the large skirt at 2x4 .. they could do a similar one at 2x3 .. somewhere in between 😁

So does this mean they’ll produce the grand prize winner as a set ?? EDIT .. just reread it all .. not necessarily .. but who knows. Congratulations to all the winners 👍🏼

I’m loving the reveal of the Villains Icons set .. I like how they all have a hiding place. The toothy grin on the old hag is great although the “hair” still looks strange. Whilst in the Lego store today for my minifig series I picked up the LIttle Mermaid set .. had a quick look at it and put it back down, the desire to buy it just wasn’t there at all. I like it and I’m planning on getting it, but it’s a “meh .. it can wait” for me. The minifigures are fantastic 😁

Sort of Lego related .. Disney dropped a new ‘Sneak Peek’ trailer for The Little Mermaid .. this trailer has more speaking in it and actually gave me chills .. it looks like it’s gonna be one of the much much better live actions. It’s making me want the Royal Clamshell 😳😁 The clips are still very short as it’s a trailer, but it gives you a little more to focus on than quick flashes of scenes.

I’m nit picking here, but does anyone else think Cogsworth’s face print is just slightly too big ? Also do we know if these are final product images ? As @JeanGreyForever said for me Maleficent is lacking a cape, even though what she wears is a cloak and the Old Hag could do with one too, just to finish off the look. Jafar .. get your genie ears on mate !! 😂
