  1. Oh yeah, rereading what you wrote I was just reading it wrong ... To be honest I've never actually bought one of the star wars AC calenders, I've been tempted some years but this year's sounds pants.
  2. I hope that you're wrong. The accessory packs themselves aren't the problem but thier availability, I've been trying to to the bloody clone one since it launched, still nothing. The advent calendars have always had a unique figure or two, Thier were a few vaguely recently of one's with both a unique silly seasonal figure and a unique normal figures. TLG Luke, Antoc Merrick and U-3po are all figures from advent calendars.
  3. And of course advent in September Edit: Did we have a list of this year's AC figures?
  4. Not really a surprise but we have official confirmation that Ninjago isn't ending yet. Crystalised will be the end of current Ninjago but a new and different show will come out next year. ( Confirmed to not be a reboot) For the set waves I imagine this means we'll set a core/ legacy sort of wave in the winter/ spring and then a big wave for the new show in the summer/ late spring.
  5. Do minifigs dream of a Lego mount Olympus?
  6. That's ironic as Bristol is my closest lego shop by far (I live there), and I only went to Brighton as it was a 'pitstop' on the way back from Kent. They did also have the head and hat in Bristol, I should've mentioned them but they weren't of special interest to me so I forgot to mention them. Both shops had the uniquely coloured tricorne + ponytail part and the printed wanted poster. I was gonna nip into the shop in Cardiff as well because was there for filming the other day but by the time I left the studio the shop had closed.
  7. I guess what brought it up was the idea that the Ideas Airbender set was not chosen because Lego thought it would get confusing.
  8. Got my copy of the ninjago magazine today. Golden Dragon Kai is a very deluxe figure.
  9. One thing to consider in the Avatar V Avatar discussion is there is a much more active fanbase/ cult following for the former. I mean if I were to go into Forbidden planet ( a comic book/ fandom merch shop chain) I'd find shirts, coasters and about a foot wide section of shelfspace as well as avatar comics in the comic section but for avatar I'd be lucky to find more than an artbook. And look on fanfiction.net I'll guarantee that you'll find thousands more Avatar fics than Avatar fics. Or look up fanart on Instagram, hell even Lego mocs. So while Avatar might have had more people watch the movie, Avatar has more fans that interact with the franchise, that care about it, that would want to buy merch. But I could be a real heathen and admit that the avatar that I'd most want sets from would actually not be this one or the last Airbender, it would be the legend of Korra ( which is admittedly a Airbender sequel show). But in terms of these sets, I don't care too much for the prices they are at. I think the eyes and noses on the blue people look a little off for Lego. If there's a good discount I'd like the base set for it's parts. Hopefully some of the interesting part will be on PAB one day.
  10. Because it's more about the adventure than the characters, (unlike something like say superheroes), it has less iconic characters ( Indy himself is very iconic but the big characters in Thier most recognisable forms will already be in sets). It's also less aimed at young children than most CMF themes and less colourful too. I do enjoy the film's don't get me wrong I just don't see it as a CMF.
  11. Indiana Jones doesn't suit a CMF imo.
  12. Haven't seen the knight's torso yet, I've looked in Bristol and Brighton so far. Managed to get the Wizard's parts though. Skirt in Bristol, torso in Brighton.
  13. There have plenty of space sets including in creator, it's just that space fans are harder to please. Castles are pirate ship are real things so we know what the they look like, but with proper spaceships there's a lot more imagination involved so there's going to more variety in how they end up looking, and thusly they are less likely to please Lego space fans because they are less likely to be what they imagined.
  14. I mean the Knights aren't replicating any specific real world group so it doesn't really matter. Lego model design peaked in 1992?
  15. They did a lot of drum lacquered gold in Monkie Kid, maybe Mando could have a drum lacquered silver helmet.
  16. Roman soilders? yes please! I like the Indiana Jones films but not enough to want to collect the sets, but I think I'll pick up the arc of the covenant set for the ancient Egypt stuff and to have the new indy. Roman themed would also be a huge selling point, I'm guessing that's the new movie though cause I don't remember Romans in Indiana Jones. Otyet historical minifigs would be cool too like the Maharaja and the crusader ghost.
  17. All the superheroes numbers were grouped together so we had thought that the flash set and the 4+ set were marvel numbers. From what I recall marvel is getting a sub-500 hulkduster and the sanctummy we don't know if the 500 set is DC or marvel. Whilst in general I'd rather it be DC, I'd rather a minifig scale set over a non minifig set ( with a few exceptions) so I'd rather a marvel Asgard or X-Men school over a 2-pack of Adam west batmobile and batcopter. I still think a batcave with Wayne Manor would be possible.
  18. I love it, though when I see that console I think of the ninth doctor before the tenth!
  19. Hmm, I might have to not get the regular razor crest, and get the sanctummy later than I'd planned because this sounds like something I want but between with the castle and the sanctum sanctorm, the sanctummy loses. Kuill is okay actually not perfect but okay.
  20. Her bigotry was a real disappointment to discover. But I don't think Indian Jones fulfills the same niche as Harry potter, it's a very different franchise.
  21. I was at Dover Castle this week and more than any other castle I've visited it felt to be in this 'style', even up to the replicated furnishings, and the colours on Henry the second's army in the pictures.
  22. Smallest marvel eternals set for less than half price. Yes or at least it was in Bexhill.
  23. For £500 think a Wayne Manor with batcave could work.
  24. Well it was $500 superheroes set not a $500 marvel set so I think batcave makes sense, a huge comic batcave, but a not figscaled bat vehicle seems more maybe not for 500. no please. How about a silly variant like cowboy Deadpoop. Or on like the wonder woman comic cover with no exclusive parts.
  25. Looks like a good line up, I'll look forward to the finished result. funnily enough, I made pretty much the exact same Battle pack for one of my LDD Wishlist MOC waves, not that that should stop you. Flickr
