Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Agent Kallus replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wouldn't be surprised if there are new peasant torsos shared between this set and 90th universe castle. Wouldn't be 100% historically accurate but it'd be much better than the Pirate in the castle, and I wouldn't mind as I'm mixing a few different era for my more fantasy inspired castle collection. Edit, Bricket thinks it's safe to post so I'll put it here -

Seems my hopes for the realistic style Viking helms in the creator set were in vain. Oh well still looks good and a new hair with winged crown, which I assume will also appear elsewhere as why would they make it for a creator set? -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Yep, and everything else is present and correct, though I did make a few separate order, one of them has another 11 black falcon torsos but I don't think they been relegated to another order because there were 20 of them and 20 of the light blue shield tiles. Upon checking the order on the website it says the order was cancelled, they did tell me they had to cancel some bricks and delay the order, and then it says new order was made (which I didn't do and wasn't charged for (But I was still charged for this order at some point so I'm confused, I guess I paid for the cancelled order?) which appears to be an almost exact same but with those parts removed, so I guess this is when the torsos got replaced (presumably by accident). Thanks, it's a good thing I checked the order, I'm guessing the nest step is to contact customer services? -

Just received an order I made in febuary, but there was something very wrong with it. Instead of the 20 black falcon torsos I order I instead got 20 of FLAT TILE 2X3/ANGLE in light royal blue (I think, there are so many blues that i don't know all the blue names). How do I rectify this? Also the bit of paper seemed to imply that I'd order these as missing part, when no I bought them, and they did charge me. -

My order fr early February has now shipped so I'll eagerly await it's arrival. In the historical sub-forum I was lamenting the seeming disappearance of the Purple Garmadon helmet, do we this it might return? Do we know why it's gone? -

I don't think it's likely to happen but I think for a fantasy race with a unique face design/ skin colour they could have an androgynous torso design and a double sided head with one looking male and the other female. Obviously if if just a yellow human looking head then that's not necessary as you can swap in pretty much any standard head if you want variety. -

Megablocking Megablocks... It seems like the purple garmadon helmet has disappeared from pick and build, anyone know if it should come back or if it's likely to be gone for good? Whilst I still think the highlighting on the moon protector is aqua, I do concede that the white does work well with the figure, I picked up some more the other day, so I now have 13, regular troops (in need of new head gear) in addition to 5 other individuals I threw together to go with their faction as it were, I'm calling them Night Elves, because that sounds better than moon protectors. I was also thinking that if I end up getting the Chang'e set, which part of me wants to, that Chang'e's hair would probably look pretty good with on a night Elf as it would keep up the crescent moon motif. Here's the night elf figbarf. From left to right we've got a battle mage, a general (Using the Helmet suggested by AmperZand), The Queen (I did say I wouldn't use the snow queen's pieces but they do work very well with the moon protector), the Queen Consort, An Ambassador and finally a solider (Though I hope to replace the shoulder pads and helmet with the purple ones showcased by zoth33, and I've given this solider the frightening knight head but all the other will have to use the moon protector head, I'd have like more facial variety but these are all the aqua heads I own (well I do have more of the moon protector head but that's just more of the same). I'll be giving all the soldiers white hand like Classic_Spaceman suggested and I'll post them all here when I've gotten the little platoon all upgraded). I'm thinking I might build them an embassy building (like the Thalmor Embassy from Skyrim) to go in my WIP fantasy town. I don't know if I'm weird for this but I like to arrange my fantasy minifigs into little factions, so I've decided that the islanders from Ninjago can be the Sun Orcs, in direct opposition to the Night Elves, it is a shame that they're all male but their tusks make for a fun subset of orcs. I've got about 30 Black Falcon torsos (well most of them are still in the post) and I'm planning on making them into fantasy town guards, so they aren't all gonna be human, some have been given short legs and bears to be dwarves and I've got some of the animal people heads from Chima and Ninjago to add some other more fantastical races to the group. The standard guards have plain black legs and the black falcon torso, whilst the captains have the shoulder armour from the blacksmith set and the proper printed legs to go with the torso, the Commander was given golden arms, golden shoulder armour and the legs from the CMF bard. There are some interesting new part's in the HP sets, for sure. I hope the red bird and the hats/hairs of Pince and Pomfrey show up on pick and build. I do quite like the whole thermal set but my opinion of the Harry Potter brand has soured of late so I probably won't pick it up unless it gets a decent discount. I'm quite hopeful that we'll get some thing medievalish in the 90th anniversary CMF, but I guess time will tell. That's fair enough, different strokes and all that. My biggest gripe with the figure as an individual is that the hairpiece is pretty uninspired, it would've been nice if they given her one with elf ears or even given her both a hairpiece and a helmet, after all the racoon lady from the same series got both. -

I think it was said to include an exclusive minifigure, not sure if it'd just be a minifig or if it'd have more to go with it. -

Legacy definitely, core didn't really catch my eye. they all felt quite generic, the combo mech was a fun idea but it didn't do it for me. Legacy has better fig variety too with new takes on old villains and then there's stuff from the show that Lego has not made before thrown in the mix as well. I'm hoping that the last one is the lie, it wouldn't make sense to have endgame level secrecy for ninjago and it'd be fun to see those side characters and villains pop back up in the show.

I Think it's more of an off-white colour, aqua like the head but here's a few pictures any way (The black Samurai helmets are place holders as I haven't got any purple ones yet). (Also I didn't have a plain white cape to hand so I used Harumi's) I Also made a Commander (above photo at the right end of the 3) and a sage (below) using part's from the TLBM batgirl, I wanted the yellow because of the yellow on the ONI mask part, but I think it's probably a bit too much yellow so I'll adjust the fig before I finish the platoon, I still ned to pick up some more moon protector's but luckily my local Lego shop has pre-felt figs so I don't need to worry about getting the wrong figure. -

It has been made but sadly only in one set, so I might go for black instead, but if I find something else I might use that instead. -

Thank you. I like all of those but I think the hood and the purple samurai helmet work best, though I might try and combine it with some sort of mask to give them more face 'protection' and make them less obviously identical, once I've made my platoon I'll be sure to post them here. -

Oh yeah, I like em canon or not. New clones are always welcome as you say, but I quite like the 187th so I'd like to see them show up somewhere other than a toy line (they might be purple shock troopers but I like Purple and I like shock trooper. Though 212th would be good too, I would've picked up more of the 212th bp if it hadn't been for the airbornes cause I like airbornes okay but I don't want loads of em 2 was enough for me. And yeah I didn't say I'd expect it just that I think it'd be cool. -

That does look good, though unless I resort to brcklink it wouldn't be easily amassed, well I say amassed, I only have 4 of this fig at the moment and though I plan to get more and have little army, I wouldn't be more 20 in total, probably around 12 or so. I do already have all the parts so I could make one, for a leader of sorts. Though I think my Ice Queen will keep her head for the time being. Thinking about heads I might want to cover more of the face so it's less obvious that there is a lack of face variety. If you do, could you post a picture here. That helmet is definitely easily amassed, cause it's on the bricks and pieces for a vaguely decent price. It is very wide though and quite ornate for a foot solider. -

Considering the Kashyyyk clones in battlefront, it wouldn't be the first time we had lego versons of clones before they got canonised. It'd be cool if they showed up in a d+ show, I know none of them are quite the right time period but we could have flashback or people could've scavenged the armour. Cassian fought against the republic as a child so he could be hiding from them in a flashback, or we could see one with the clone defectors in the bad batch s2. -

Ahh good, I was hoping this and the Bib's Palace would be enough to get the promo, though I'll wait till I know what the promo is. Double VIP points are always welcome, but if the promo isn't to my liking I might wait to see if I can get a discount on those sets instead. -

IIRC the book blurb mentioned him as a character not a minifig, but nonetheless I'm hopeful for something. The tower of fate itself never seemed very believable, but maybe they could tack him into a comic batman set alongside a maguc hero like Zatanna. -

Sorry if this wrong thread, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for easily amassed helmets that work work well with the Moon Protector minifig from the current CMF? -

On subject of figures, I'd hope the majority of new figure prints budget goes on Torsos, seeing as heads from other themes work well enough and legs are a lower priority both in terms of printing and uniqueness.- 2,976 replies
