Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I've just ordered myself a sealed copy of the tower of Orthanc, so it'd be awesome if this set was Barad-dûr so I could pair them up -

Dobby style Dual molded legs for the hobbits? Not sure if the Dwarves should have mid legs or not. -

If it's designed around fitting a Lego iron man action figure inside the it should have included one in the price, make a different 'mark' to the set and boom. -

WHAT THEY DID BEFORE WON'T AFFECT WHAT THEY DO NOW. How many times must it be said before it sinks in? Though personally I doubt Smaug is likely anyway, it's said to be a LotR set so if it has anything from the hobbit it'd probably be something from both trilogies like Bag-End. Which would get us an old Bilbo Ian Holm minifigure. My main hope is merely that it is something system scale with minifigs. -

But that's just marvel studios movies, what about the Sony marvel movies, could we perhaps see sets for the into the spiderverse sequels or Spiderman 4 or the rumoured amazing Spiderman 3 or accurate NWH sets? -

It would be a good choice for a regular set, but not a D2C IMO. At least not the first D2C in the theme ( if it is more than a one off) Please see my point about how what we got before ( and not everybody has all the sets anyway, I for example only have 7 of the 13 the Dwarves ( plus Dain and Gimli)) I understand not wanting them to 'waste' resources repeating themselves but it is inevitable. I mean look at the revival of Harry Potter or the Leaks for Indy's revival. And it does make good business sense to leave off the most iconic things just because you've done them before especially as the audience has changed. ( And many people who had the old would buy the new, I personally want to get any minifig scale Tolkien set they make even if I already have the old version) but Barad-dûr hasn't been made before anyways and it'd be one of my top guesses. -

I don't think what they did before will have any bearing on what they do now whatsoever. Minas Tirith just isn't as iconic as hobbiton or the eye of sauron, it's the least likely of the likely possibilities. I don't think Lego has the right colour to do it justice anyhow, the light grey is too grey but the white would look to clean. Does this Eowyn not count We could get some hobbit figures in there too, young Bilbo, the 13 Dwarves. -

I still think either Hobbiton or Barad-dûr ( which could come with some other modor feature like a scaled down mount Doom, black gate and shelob cave) are more likely than Minas Tirith, they are definitely more iconic. -
I plan on entering only problem is my personal experience with D&D involves a lot of homebrew ( that's half the fun to me, making my own monsters and campaigns to throw at my players, I do enjoy playing as well as DMing but my experience as a player has also involved a lot of homebrew.) But I've got a few ideas, see what I can throw together in the time.

Thanks. I really wanted to used the half cylinder 1x2 bricks to give the cottage a woven look, but I only had them in black, I had use the parts from 4 forest men's hideouts just to get the bricks for the cottage I'm glad you like it. Thank you I'm assuming that you're talking about the torsos but just in case I'll go through all of it. Helmet - Valeria : Realistic Viking ( unprinted from the Sanctum), Viggo : fantasy era troll helmet. ( Plus a tiara inserted into the helmet pinhole for the Queen version of Valeria) Neck Attachments - Valeria: Darth Vader neck attachment, black soft cape. Viggo : none, Queen Valeria has the same as regular Valeria plus a purple shoulder armour piece ( I think it's from Vedyeo but I got them from the online pick a brick) Torso - Valeria and Viggo : Ninjago Crystallised general torso backwards with Frightening Knight arms ( I want to use that torso ( with the corresponding legs) for a big fanastay army so I'm hoping it'll appear on the online pick a brick), Queen Valeria uses the Crystal king's torso also from Ninjago Crystallised. Waist attachments - Valeria and Viggo : none, Queen Valeria: clone commander 2008 plastic Kama Legs - Valeria and Viggo: crystallised general legs, Queen Valeria: Crystal king's legs.

They mean if it's not just the D2C and brickheadz but that we may hopefully go on to get a full lineup of system sets. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hopes....for me a Jedi Temple. It would sell like Hot cakes it would be glourius, do it like the death Star ( but with a closed exterior) and have scenes from the prequels and TCW dotted around inside. -
Excellent work, this would be on the front-page if it were up to me.

This is great, I can see the scene so perfectly that I can almost hear the music playing.

Now I want to see it, and I cannot Yeah cause LDD had almost every part in existence only problem is it was last updated in 2019 and that wasn't a full inventory either. I've tried converting to Stud.io but I just prefer LDD by a large margin. I wasn't trying to attack the pillar placement, just that it's funny to have a feature designed for a minifigure that isn't include ( lego have done it enough themselves) though I don't see why a £20 set can't have 3 minifigs. Ice? I don't know that is? Why are bringing your crazy political beliefs into this? Ice? What the Megabloks is that? I never heard of such nonsense. But in all seriousness, yeah fair enough, as said it is something lego would do but there isn't that much blue on hoth, and Ice isn't normally blue. Also didn't mention it last time but that probe droid is the best I've seen at this scale. Yeah it isn't really that plain, it's just that the uniform lighting from the rendering doesn't do it any favours. At this level of detail the jagged edge is kinda inevitable anyway unless you want to 'spend' a lot of bricks covering it up, so it's perfectly understandable. I wasn't questioning the existence of the trees and sand at the bottom, they add a lot to the model, giving it context and framing it, it was just them being hinged that confused me. Also I noticed I accidently forgot to mention the library and the RC, well the mini RC does what it needs to do and I like it well enough but the Library is above an beyond, I love it.

These are great, I'd definitely want to buy them if this was a real Lego theme. I though those 2 looked like those 2.

[CATC] Time's champions
Agent Kallus replied to Agent Kallus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you I was aiming to conceptualise a whole theme concept and story rather than just make 2 sets on thier own ( if that makes sense). I was a bit worried about pressing up against the deadline ( though I needn't have worried about that given the extension) because I didn't start on this one untill after I'd posted my first entry. It seems like only me and @Mandalorianknight have gone so far as to make 2 entries in category 1( though I might have missed someone else's second entry) but hopefully that'll play out to our favour . I had a look at some of the other entries but I want to make sure I've looked at all of them before voting. Especially if we can't vote for ourselves ( though I can't really see why not as I'm sure we'll get more people voting than entering, at least that has been my experience previously) I think there's a CMF gnome but that's about it. I'm glad you like the time machine because part of me was a bit unsure about it and considered remaking to give it more play features but I liked it how it was so I kept it like that. Thanks I wanted it to be crazy to that's a sign I succeeded . Thanks I was aiming for something a bit whimsical and wacky. I did have more 'things' I wanted to fit into Olpud's HQ but I thought the rock was important for meshing them together seamlessly well not seamlessly as the rock was an intention seam, and I didn't was to overcomplicate it. So I'm glad the idea for that got through without it becoming too much of a mess. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Agent Kallus replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I known the somewhere near me was selling this one near me because for Christmas that year I got 3 copies of that in my stocking (I was only 13 at the time, ten years ago) and a copy of this one under the tree so I had a little elf army (that later got expanded with these two)
